The Vagabond Inn Executive Pasadena hotel is conveniently located in downtown Pasadena's business district, on Colorado Boulevard, on the Rose Bowl Parade route, in the heart of Pasadena.
Score from 560 reviews Very good
Good location close enough to downtown LA, Pasadena etc but not too busy. Good parking, handy elevator. Room had refrigerator.
Desk clerk wanted to charge $30 for 2h early check in; manager waived fee. Room right next to elevator was noisy at times. Shared dining room a bit small and limited supplies quickly devoured by guests.
Location and close proximities to entertainment, food, restaurants, etc.
There are no restrooms to use when you arrive.
The stuff was very very nice and the halloween decoration was lovely. Would def. stay there again.
Some problems with the shower and ants in the bath room.
There is a private parking lot, so you don't have to walk around on the street or pay outrageous rates. The staff was so kind and friendly, and very accommodating! The bed was quite comfortable. Though the shower head was wacky, the pressure and water temperature were ideal. Lots of comforts available for their guests including free drinks and food in a common room. Great place to stay, I will definitely stay here again.
The neighborhood was a bit scary. I wouldn't have gone out walking at night.
Fantastic value for money. Room was clean and tidy. No breakfast but there was free bottled water, coffee, fruit and sweets, which could be taken at any time. Great reception staff.
Snacks available 24/7. Secure car.
Limited parking spaces, charged $10 for additional person. If there are two beds, two couples easily fit. But they charge per each additional person like if they are providing additional bed space. Overall clean, but didnt like the hard bed. Didnt sleep well all night.
The hotel is clean, rooms are spacious and there is parking at the back
A bit far from town. If you're staying at this hotel you must hire a car as traveling by public transport can be dodgy specially at night..
Simple room, clean
TV, only infomercial and religious chanel
Very kind and polite manager. Clean rooms, quiet place. For this price it 10/10
Competent and friendly reception. Cosmopolitan and international clientele. Safe and secure … 75% covered parking w/ entry/exit restricted but relaxed. Hot shower reliably controlled. Free bottled water to go, plasticware and paper plates. The AC was a new large commercial unit so it was quiet and precise.
Free coffee service in the common area, although a nice amenity, needs an office-type (Bunn, 2 pot) coffeemaker instead of the 2 domestic ones which are too slow and cumbersome. Microwave not available in room but in common area. I was put in the back, told it would be quieter but barking dogs were an issue.
Pricing is very affordable. Very nice personal and nice room I stayed in the queen room and it was reasonable size. Since it was facing the parking lot not the main road we was not disturbed with the noise at all. No breakfast is served in the hotel but there are nearby places that you can have it. Otherwise you can grab drinking water, tea, coffee and fruits for free which is good when you come to the hotel late or have to leave it early. Another good thing is the free parking. You do not need to worry about it all since there is two floor (one closed and one open parking) My overall feeling about the hotel is very good. I felt much more comfortable here then the other two highly priced hotels I stayed in San Diego and San Francisco during my trip in California. I strongly recommend the place.
Well the only negative thing I can mention is that the location of the hotel. It is kind of far to the sightseeing places. But you should know that you have to have a car wherever you stay. It is very separated from each other and there is no good local transportation system unlike San Francisco.
Try to find the assistant manager Peter , he is truely helpful
No facilities such knife and spoon
Very friendly staff and helped me directly to set up the sofa to another bed for my friend. Good value for money.
Lot of Chinese in the hotel, feels like you are in china not LA.
The staff was very friendly.
Room was very plain. Most channels on the TV were Asian, and the parking was horrible.
It was just few mile drive to get to the city centre, you even do not have to take highway, just follow the main road to get to the strict centre of L.A. Hotel has got parking space and common room with free water, sweets and fruits for all guests to help themself.
Nothing to complain, although would be nice and more comfortable to have a table with chairs if you stay for a couple of days.
The Hotel is simple, clean , Stuff useful especially Peter :). Parking slots on 2 floors; clean rooms, housekeeping service. Although there's no meal provided there's a small reception with 24/7 free available fruits, snacks, hot drinks, and MicroWave; also SubWay 1 minute walk :) I also found the free internet extremely useful. Overal i think it's a great value for money when you're looking for clean place, well kept and free internet. i won't hesitate repeating it if same trip purpose.
i can't reaaly something negative about my stay, i asked for 3 hout late checkout which charged as 15$ which can be normal. Also room sight was neighborhood garage old cars & dogs; i honestly weren't expecting a beautiful view with that prices at all.
Great staff, comfortable, clean and spacious rooms, affordable price.
Kind staff. Clean room
This is my second time and I will come back. It is clean, good bed, it serves my purposes just to sleep at a very reasonable price for Los Angeles. You get free bottled water and can make your own breakfast in a dinning room in the lobby
I can see other guests my dislike the lack of amenities and it is not too close to any tourist attractions. There was not enough lighting in the room I stayed this time but my previous room had enough
Bath room ventalation.
Prompt staff attention to need of guest, good privacy, lightings, clean surrounding etc.
No breakfast and other meals and no resident taxi cabs.
The room I got was clean, nothing was broken, and the price was unbeatable.
The hotel is situated next to a major street that had some street racers at night making a bunch of noise. Also, the room was very bare-bones: No table/desk, the only trash can was in the bathroom, and the TV was tiny.
good price, nice staff
