The hot tub was nice. Looks like it was a great Hotel about 15 years ago. Time for updates.
The price, the old furnishings. Thf hustle for an upgrade and still bring in an old furnished room. This place is long overdue for a makeover.
Good position, nice pool, kind of quiet room.
Expensive Old smelly rooms No refrigerator No breakfast No wifi
Ease of parking by room.
Registration process for room.
location and pools
the room only had a swamp cooler
Nice environment, nice rooms, friendly staff, near freeway.
The Staff at the Starbucks were rude and unappreciative of their jobs. They were an insult to both Starbucks and the Hotel. On August 31 at 8:35 am I believe it was Andrea and her female peer, when advised that we received the wrong coffee, she accused us of grabbing the wrong cup, even though the cup had our name. When advised that she should not blame the customer, I believe her remark was, "Then who do we blame." I visit San Diego six times a year. I was looking for a hotel for every visit. The Starbucks staff will be the reason I look for another place to stay...
The pools were nice, not a lot of people.
To use the wi-fi you needed to connect with the server every minute, and the signal was very weak. In the site it said, $123 per night. Once you there the prices are different. A lot of hidden charges I end up paying $400 for two nights. The rooms don't have a fridge.
The room was disgustingly dirty. Hair all over the bathroom floor and tub from previous guest. Hair in the sheets. Urine on the bathroom walls and the room smelled like a dirty clothes hamper.
Shops were close by and get a few things if need
The room didn't have a table to work on, parking is only available if you can find one
Very very dated. It looks like it was never remodeled since the 1970s. We were placed in an upgraded room and the only thing that was upgraded about it was the carpet, paint, and TV.
The balcony was convenient, and the room was clean
Front desk is rude, they acted as if the questions we had were an inconvenience to them. Parking was terrible for an extra 14$/day and not convenient. When we checked in, it took like 25 minutes... Ridiculous. Won't stay again....
Was not there long enough
Resort fees didnt much like a resort to justify the fees
The hotel needs lots of upgrades.
We had to pay for parking?????
I liked everything. Friendly staff, near stores & wonderful view.
Staff was professional and helpful. Hotel is located in a very central area and the hotel provides shuttles for locations surrounding the hotel. Clean
Rooms are outdated and old. Bathrooms (although clean) need to be updated as well. Extra fees not listed at time of booking like $40/day incidental fee which is returned at checkout but it would still be nice to know up front
Everything! I had 3 kids with me and my self and my husband I had reserved a room with 2 queens and they put us in a room with two doubles my baby had to sleep in the stroller because we didn't fit and he was cranky at 3 in the morning my drunk naighbors decided they were going to fight you could hear everything. The picture on the website look nothing like the room or the resort it is soooooo outdated. I would never in my life stay at the so called resort again. I don't even know how they got the rating they have.
Staff, bed, room appearance, freeway access, room service, dining options and prices
Nothing to note
The place has been there for a while. It is clean comfortable and suited our needs. It is close to everything we wanted to do and very accommodating. The grounds are well kept and rooms are fresh and cool.
My only drawback is the lighting over the bath sink. It's located behind your head while shaving so it makes it hard to get a clean view.
The swimming pools and all the landscape, patio furniture..
No microwave,and fridge..
It was a place to stay Felt safe and comfy Cleanliness Decent location Nice facility
Very basic motel; nothing fancy Some staff is unfriendly
Parking was terrible. It took us 1 hour to get a spot. I understand that there were 2 weddings that night and that this might have been the reason.
I liked that the room was next to a garden. Cute room. It was located very close to where we were going. Staff was very nice and pool and spa were very clean.
Thought the pillows and bed weren't all that comfortable. Also, I thought we were going to pay $139 plus taxes and I ended up paying $186. There were 3 $14 fees that I wasn't expecting. The girl at the front told me the "leisure" fee was optional, yet when I called the front to double check, the lady I spoke to said it was not optional and we would be charged whether we drank the waters and coffee or not. We also did not use the Wifi, the Spa services, or the shuttle that was part of the $14 charge. Was not expecting a $14 parking fee and a $14 occupancy fee. Although I still would recommend it to others, I would tell them my experience first before they booked a room.
Room was clean
Booked online at booking.com. Booked a king bed room. None available at check out. Given $6.00 credit on parking. Don't know if we didn't get the king room because we did not book directly with hotel. Also asked for a late checkout and the lady at the front desk was rude. Said no way as they have a lot of people checking out and checking in. Called at midnight and got the late checkout with no problem. Late checkout was for noon instead of 11:00 a.m.
The location the room and the location again
530 am people smoking and talking loud in front of our room even when their room was 2 doors down my baby woke up because of the cigarette smell asthma attack open door and told them to keep it down but no luck my daughter could not go back asleep
Location. It was close to activities in San Diego. Restaurant's on site.
Too much $$ for such an old rundown property. I would only stay again if I just couln't find any where else to stay. Only place to eat Sunday morning was one cafe. No where on site to have an adult cocktail until 4 p.m. on Sunday. If I am staying at a "resort" I want resort treatment and this was far from it. Just because they have a spa doesn't make it a resort. It's just a really large hotel.
