Shops were close by and get a few things if need
The room didn't have a table to work on, parking is only available if you can find one
Was not there long enough
Resort fees didnt much like a resort to justify the fees
The hotel needs lots of upgrades.
We had to pay for parking?????
I liked everything. Friendly staff, near stores & wonderful view.
Staff, bed, room appearance, freeway access, room service, dining options and prices
Nothing to note
The place has been there for a while. It is clean comfortable and suited our needs. It is close to everything we wanted to do and very accommodating. The grounds are well kept and rooms are fresh and cool.
My only drawback is the lighting over the bath sink. It's located behind your head while shaving so it makes it hard to get a clean view.
The swimming pools and all the landscape, patio furniture..
No microwave,and fridge..
It was a place to stay Felt safe and comfy Cleanliness Decent location Nice facility
Very basic motel; nothing fancy Some staff is unfriendly
Parking was terrible. It took us 1 hour to get a spot. I understand that there were 2 weddings that night and that this might have been the reason.
I liked that the room was next to a garden. Cute room. It was located very close to where we were going. Staff was very nice and pool and spa were very clean.
Thought the pillows and bed weren't all that comfortable. Also, I thought we were going to pay $139 plus taxes and I ended up paying $186. There were 3 $14 fees that I wasn't expecting. The girl at the front told me the "leisure" fee was optional, yet when I called the front to double check, the lady I spoke to said it was not optional and we would be charged whether we drank the waters and coffee or not. We also did not use the Wifi, the Spa services, or the shuttle that was part of the $14 charge. Was not expecting a $14 parking fee and a $14 occupancy fee. Although I still would recommend it to others, I would tell them my experience first before they booked a room.
Room was clean
Booked online at booking.com. Booked a king bed room. None available at check out. Given $6.00 credit on parking. Don't know if we didn't get the king room because we did not book directly with hotel. Also asked for a late checkout and the lady at the front desk was rude. Said no way as they have a lot of people checking out and checking in. Called at midnight and got the late checkout with no problem. Late checkout was for noon instead of 11:00 a.m.
The location the room and the location again
530 am people smoking and talking loud in front of our room even when their room was 2 doors down my baby woke up because of the cigarette smell asthma attack open door and told them to keep it down but no luck my daughter could not go back asleep
Location. It was close to activities in San Diego. Restaurant's on site.
Too much $$ for such an old rundown property. I would only stay again if I just couln't find any where else to stay. Only place to eat Sunday morning was one cafe. No where on site to have an adult cocktail until 4 p.m. on Sunday. If I am staying at a "resort" I want resort treatment and this was far from it. Just because they have a spa doesn't make it a resort. It's just a really large hotel.
The bed was comfortable
Front Desk Staff Housekeeping room was filthy Furnishings old, dated, dirty looked like they were purchased from a second hand store when we were told the tower was recently renovated AC leak all night drips that caused me to slip on the floor in the middle of the night Told this property is like the Paradise Point which it is not even close. I would not call this a resort at all Front desk is rude. They said there are 700 people checking in and 700 checking out. I felt sorry for the 700 checking in.
The grounds are beautiful.
Hotel now charges resort fees. That covers the coffee in the room, which is not high quality coffee, two small bottles of water in the room, shuttle to a few locations, \10% off salon services, coffee in the lobby, and wifi. The problem is that the WIFI only worked outside the room near a gazebo, there were no waters in the room when we checked in. We didn't really use any of the services but we paid $14 daily for them. Also parking can be a problem. It costs $14 daily but can be very difficult to find a spot anywhere near your room.
Starting from the false fire alarm incident, to the bottles of water that the hotel provided us and were left right next to the toilet (they were closed and sealed but still, it's kinda insanitary). I understand and agreed to pay extra for the parking, it's only $14 bucks, but they should at least designate a single spot since we have paid for it, thanks to that I had to walk like 10 min from were I left the car to our room, carrying my 2 yr old daughter, with our luggage and under the rain. The room windows were really but really dirty. I'm not saying that it was a really bad experience, but we could of had a better opinion of the hotel. Based on that, for my next San Diego trip I will stay in a different hotel.
Great location- close to beaches, restaurants and malls.
Don't book the cheap rooms as you get what you pay for in quality and neighbors.
Location to zoo
Room was not ready, some staff was rude, facility was old. fire alarm went off. overall bad experience. will not return.
Location and closeness to key attractions
Basic amenities , daily water in the room is also charged,Getting parking at night is a pain, have to pay additional money for parking
Hotel needs maintenance
Gross stained roller bed and brick wall balcony view
Location, ease of access to swimming pool.
No WiFi, staff said they will vhange room due to no Wi-Fi but never made the change. It was to much hassle to pish for it. There was also hidden resort fee and parking fee.
i must say after reading some of the reviews online i was a bit scared...but once i got there and checked in it was great. had a garden room it was beautiful the staff was very pleasant and everthing about my stay was great. we stayed a week for comic con 2014 and would definaltly stay again if i am in the area. great great great resort with excellent service
got bored of the same breakfast every day..could of used some toast or waffles
The resort was beautiful and the staff was very friendly/accommodating. The grounds are well-maintained, feels like you're walking through a botanical garden.
I chose this resort because the price was reasonable, only to find many hidden fees which ended up costing us $100 more than quoted. Parking is $14 a day, not $8 (as listed on the website). And you are charged an additional $14 a day for the "gold key" amenities, which are not optional. Plus, we ended up staying when there was a little league baseball tournament in San Diego. And of course, Town and Country was one of the host hotels. Therefore, there were boys running around all night long, jumping in and out of the fountains, and their parents did nothing. Wish we would have been given a heads up:/
