A perfect setting for the annual 5 day Thanksgiving Jazz Festival. All the facilities the conventioncenter can offer, the grand rooms with dance floors, the piano room, the foyer, the Lion Fontain Yard, restroom facilities and facilities for food, just about everything under one roof, together with best jazz music ever, makes T&C the best location for this event. Adding to this all kinds of recreational needs are provided for, pools, walking, shopping, golf. This was our 5th year at the T&C.
Our room was not up to scratch. Big stains on the fitted carpet, too much dust on electric cords, etc. Check-in personnel could have been nicer, not rude, taking into account that we are regular guests at the T&C. Other staff were polite and welcoming.
Rooms are very small. Decor needs updating. Rooms are dark. Only two small lamps and no additional provided when requested. Balconies are crowded and not private. Guests in the room around corner could see our bed from window.
The location and setup of the hotel was amazing.
Its to easy to be heard once inside ur room by people walking by or by our neighbors.
Facilities badly needs a face life.....for started.....a good paint job would help.....killed a spider and a bug in my bed.....parking too expensive.
Not much - and I'm not a complainer. The grounds were beautiful.
Incorrect billing (but they did fix it), bed like a board, requests ignored.
location of room was nice and relatively quiet.
Key to door didn't work when I arrived. Had to get front desk to help. There was a carpet tack protruding from floor that my wife stepped on and cut herself. The front desk guy didn't care about that...should I sue them?
The noise at night was completely ridiculous. There was people going up and down the path outside the room all night. Never again!!
Location and court yard
Old rooms old carpet old beds
It's a beautiful location with spacious, quiet rooms, comfortable beds and pillows. We had a great breakfast at the Terrace Cafe. There is also plenty of parking all around. We've already decided to stay at the Town & Country on our next visit to San Diego.
There is nothing not to like about this location.
The quaint and quirky nature of the grounds and rooms
Lot of noise from convention room and guests
Closeness to airport (~20 minute drive) and shopping mall (walking distance).
facilities seemed dated/older. Needs to be spruced up. Lots of areas in hotel/resort that are not used. Looks like it was a great place in it's day.
The hot tub was nice. Looks like it was a great Hotel about 15 years ago. Time for updates.
The price, the old furnishings. Thf hustle for an upgrade and still bring in an old furnished room. This place is long overdue for a makeover.
Good position, nice pool, kind of quiet room.
Expensive Old smelly rooms No refrigerator No breakfast No wifi
Weather, plenty of mirrors and staff helped move to room with tile rather than carpet
Window AC damp musty smell old carpet dresser drawers broken no tea or coffee in room $15 parking in a place where it should not be charged. No way to get fresh air into room
1. It is close to tram that makes transportation so convenient 2. Rooms are OK 3. Hotel staff is kind 4. I couldn't try the gym but I heard good things about it.
1. HORRIBLE internet connection 2. That they charged me extra for the room, compared to the price that I supposed to pay (booking.com resolved the issue for us) 3. expensive breakfast 3. No information about 'the old trolley'. Apparently they come right at your door to pick you up. I wish I have known more about that service.
The posh king room with comfortable bed.
The fact that i was given a bad room with a toilet that could not flush due to a fault on the first day i arrived.Staff on duty on that night were not friendly,so i had a bad impression until the next day morning when i complained and the room was changed by the excellent guy on duty.I can't remember his name but he was much more friendly than those i met the previous night. He deserves commendation.I rated the staff poor because of the way i was treated on my arrival on the first night by those two staff on duty.Gave me a room that was not nice and the toilet was not functioning. It was very fustrating.
Parking , wrong bed than we booked , had to change rooms
extra charge and the customer service.
Ease of parking by room.
Registration process for room.
location and pools
the room only had a swamp cooler
Nice environment, nice rooms, friendly staff, near freeway.
The Staff at the Starbucks were rude and unappreciative of their jobs. They were an insult to both Starbucks and the Hotel. On August 31 at 8:35 am I believe it was Andrea and her female peer, when advised that we received the wrong coffee, she accused us of grabbing the wrong cup, even though the cup had our name. When advised that she should not blame the customer, I believe her remark was, "Then who do we blame." I visit San Diego six times a year. I was looking for a hotel for every visit. The Starbucks staff will be the reason I look for another place to stay...
The pools were nice, not a lot of people.
To use the wi-fi you needed to connect with the server every minute, and the signal was very weak. In the site it said, $123 per night. Once you there the prices are different. A lot of hidden charges I end up paying $400 for two nights. The rooms don't have a fridge.
The room was disgustingly dirty. Hair all over the bathroom floor and tub from previous guest. Hair in the sheets. Urine on the bathroom walls and the room smelled like a dirty clothes hamper.
Shops were close by and get a few things if need
The room didn't have a table to work on, parking is only available if you can find one
Very very dated. It looks like it was never remodeled since the 1970s. We were placed in an upgraded room and the only thing that was upgraded about it was the carpet, paint, and TV.
