Requires money being spent to refurbish rooms
The location was superb. Easy to get all the attractions of the city. Place was clean and there were no homeless around in the neighbourhood (a typical complain about other hotels for what i've seen) Place was simple but effective for the cost of its money
Breakfast was extremely simple. I would definitely not call that "Continental". The staff was nice but generally would not do extra favours unless its related to sell trip tours The room is not soundproof. Generally you don't hear the street noise but you might hear people from other rooms if they speak loud.
Location Car Parking Good working Wifi Clean area and room Good shower Lady at reception : friendly, helpfull, communication
Man at reception ... administrator, desconsidering customer ... "repressive" ..you should not a,b,c ...
It's an ideal stay when you just want to see the city, but not spend a fortune on accomodation. The free parking was a great plus and hotspots like Fisherman's Wharf (with Cable Car station), Union Street or Chestnut are all in walking distance. Best features of this place: -Free Parking -Location -Size of the bed -The lady at the reception was very helpful
-even it's only two star motel had plenty room and space in the apartment -there's refrigirator -excellent location -there's bus shuttel to the airport -friendy stuff
-brakefast was poor -stuff don't work at night -no computers -the cleaner didn't changed the toylet paper before it ended -there is NO air conditioning, and when i opened the window i felt the smoke smell of ppl outside
Staff was friendly and helpful. The room was clean. Nice neighborhood, walking distance to Fisherman's Wharf.
Room could use a remodel. Carpets and bedding are old and in need of updating. Shower had a crack in the tile.
free parking outside your room & within waling distance of main tourist sites. Open top tour bus stopped just across the road, you could buy tickets at the motel.
Breakfast!Basic to say the least. Car parking was very tight.
The owners were nice and helpful, there is free wifi and free parking (people are complaining about the size of the parking lot - ok, it's not huge and you do have to back up onto the street, but I didn't think that was a problem - try renting a car you can still handle, people, don't just pick the largest SUV you can find). The room was small but clean and comfortable and safe. You can walk to Fisherman's Wharf in 15 minutes and the Big Bus hop on, hop off tour stops practically across the street. I would stay here again.
The price was kind of outrageous. We paid over $500.00 (including tax) for three nights. But hey, San Francisco is expensive, so what can you do.
the location was great, just far enough away from the big tourist attractions so it was not overly crowded, yet close enough that we didn't have to spend alot of time to get there. the couple running the motel were very friendly and accomidating
fishermens wharf i walking distance. keep in mind that sf is a bit hilly though =) owner really friendly and helpful
bit expensive, but sf is a bit more expensive in general thin walls
The location was about a safe 10-15 minute walk to Fisherman's Wharf. It was easy to catch a bus or cable car to any part of the city from the wharf. The Big Bus hop-on/hop-off tour had a stop across the street which was a convenient way to get around the city. The room was kept clean and the staff was helpful with tips to get around to locations we wanted to visit. They were also helpful in arranging a shuttle back to the airport.
It was rather warm in late October and the thermostat did not appear to function so it was necessary to leave the window open to allow cool air into the room. The windows did have plantation shutters that we screwed shut so it would have been difficult for anyone to enter the room through the open window. The room was somewhat small but adequate. Breakfast was very basis but it was served until 10am so sleeping late wasn't a problem. Honestly, we weren't in the room except to sleep. Too many wonderful places to visit to hang out in a motel room.
good location free parking box fan in room
Rooms were hot and muggy We had to beg for a late checkout and only were able to keep one of the 2 rooms for an extra hour. Man at counter acted annoyed we were there when we tried to check in
Great Location. Breakfast was okay. WIFI Excellent. Owners helpful.
A little expensive.
Location and price were perfect. Room and bathroom vary clean.lots of pillows and wifi.good breakfast
very good position, clean, good value and our hosts Denise & Patrick were just awesome, giving advice for our sightseeing also good restaurants to dine at.
Location was perfect for nearby attractions. Neighborhood was good, safe for walking.
Room was very small, extremely stuffy inside the rooms and not worth the money spent. Should have chose another place.
The owner that welcome us in the reception was antipathetic and gave us the feeling that we are unwelcome. Breakfast is poor and the guests take it to their rooms.
Staff did not know any info about the area including buses and trolleys.
Good location for Fishermans Wharf and the Bridge!
Same very basic breakfast every day of a pastry, juice , fruit and coffee! A toaster and some bread would help!!! No cereal option although there was milk available. Our room was right next to the maids room and we had constant noise and chatter right outside our door. Asked if we could be relocated as we had booked 5 nights there and was rebuked with 'no fully booked remark' and yet we saw the vacancy sign illuminated.
The owners were very friendly and helpful, there was an iron and board in the room, although there was not air conditioning, there was a fan in the closet in case we needed it. It was in walking distance of the Warf. Parking right outside my room.
Not a thing, I would stay here again in a minute. Great room for the price.
FREE PARKING GOOD LOCATION FOR FISHERMANS WHARF
BREAKFAST WAS POOR BUT I THINK TYPICAL FOR A TOWN CENTRE MOTEL
Location we could walk
There was no air conditioning. The breakfast was great.
Central Hotels in San Francisco charge a lot of money for parking which is why we picked this motel. Parking was fine and the motel was convenient for local restaurants and on the main bus route into central SF. Lots of similar motels on Lombard street but I would use this one again.
Nothing much, it was what we expected for a basic motel.
