Score from 128 reviews Very good
I liked everything. The services was beyond expectations, actually better than a fancy hotel at the downtown in Washington D.C.
There was nothing I didn't like.
I liked the late check out.
However, a construction team of several people took over the hallways and had two loagearge photos staged outside every room on the floor. They then proceeded to slam, bang, drill and hammer. Could have waited til lateR in day to be so loud in halls.
The staff was wonderful. We had an 11AM tour of the White House on the day of checkout and they let us keep our luggage in the office for safekeeping.
The biggest thing I noticed about the room was very simple. There was no Kleenex box. But the room was worth the price.
I loved the ease of staying here check in and check out was quick and easy. Also we had an amazing dinner near by at Zenko Sushi. Many other great food options short walk or drive away.
I thought the shower was a bit small but I'm also rather tall. For my girlfriend however it was fine.
Near the gaylord hotel at a great price
Very clean room. Very quiet. For the money, good choice. No frills but great location
Heater in room hard to adjust. Room got very hot and had to turn off register. That resulted in freezing room.
Great proximity to a grocery store. Nice desk, fridge, microwave, free wifi. I've spent much more for much much less. Can't argue with the value.
Charming old timey place with an old timey tv to match!
A little dark.
The place is peaceful and offers great value. The staff were friendly and asked on passing outdoors and once by phone if everything was okay and if they could do anything for us. The walk to the nearest Metrorail station, Braddock Road, was fairly convenient, at about half a mile.
There apparently are strict rules posted on a flier in the front office about visitors: No more than two people are allowed in a one-bed (even king-size, where 3 people can definitely fit comfortably on the bed) room at any given time, and no visitors are allowed after 10 PM. These rules would be inconvenient for unplanned or temporary visits by friends, if they were enforced. Fortunately, the rules weren't strictly enforced, but it would be nice if the rules were formally relaxed, as long as visitors aren't causing a nuisance.
the quality of the reception
right on route 1, but quiet enough
great deal, cute place.
Location (Alexandria is only 20min from downtown DC; metro is 7min from the hotel); price; free parking; free wifi; very nice staff
the room was clean but it had a very weird smell during our stay...
I was originally nervous about booking a motel, really bad history with motels. This place was amazing! Stayed for a few nights during MCM weekend and it was perfect. Two blocks from the Potomac which has a multi use trail that takes you right into D.C. 1 block from a Great grociery and restaurant. There is a keurig in the room that uses k cups so you can enjoy your favorite coffee. I will be coming back for sure!
My room was cute and cozy! It was great having a microwave and fridge in my room. I had plenty of space to spread out. The bed was very comfortable. The tv had numerous channels to select from. The motel is about 1/2 a mile from the metro - a pleasant walk. I felt very safe at the motel and on the walk to and from the metro.
It is a "Pepsi" motel. I like "Coke".
Location, cleanliness, Keurig machine, staff attitude & flexibility & once again location....on top of GW Pkwy, 495, rt 1, 395 it worked for me.
Although there is no breakfast, one can go to one of the two supermarkets that are close to this place and buying some things to prepare light breakfasts during the lodging. Microwaves, fridge and coffee machines available in the rooms are very useful and helpful. It's far away from the downtown but the closest metro station (Braddock Rd) is very near. The guys at the desktop are very friendly
Room was clean, it has a microwave and a small fridge. Bathroom was clean too.
Neighborhood didn't seem very safe at night. You need to walk a couple of blocks to get to King St, which is where all the restaurants are. As for the toiletries, they give you soap but not shampoo and conditioner.
It is definitely a good use of money. The location is excellent, cannot be more convenient as well as quiet. The front desk people are very nice. Room is clean and has a small ref. and coffee machine in room.
I like the location and the personalized touch by the hotel staff.
Close to Metro into DC
Clean Corner room was spacious Desk Service was outstanding. Friendly, helpful suggestions Location: 10 minute walk from Braddock Metro station. 15 minute walk from Old Town shops and restaurants. One block from Harris Teeter (like Whole Foods) market and 2 blocks from Trader Joes market. One metro stop south of Ronald Reagan (DCA) airport. Refrigerator Microwave, Coffee/Tea
Compact bathroom. Does have good lighting and updated though. Exterior slightly run down. Slow Internet.
Friendly people, lovely town, easy access to DC
Slightly long walk to King St (12 mins), but that was nothing
A short walk from the metro. 2 blocks to Trader Joes and the bike share kiosk. Convenient to train into DC while avoiding high DC hotel prices.
the TV was in pretty rough shape, but other features in the room were new and updated.
Ten minutes' walk from metro. Exceedingly helpful member of staff
