It is on a main drag with traffic, so rooms away from front are desirable. Staff was able to shift room assignments to accommodate that request of mine.
Economical choice in DC area. 8 block walk to Metro and to Old Town Alexandria "strip", so a little exercise each day which was fine for the money spent.
Very friendly staff, close to DCA, and reasonably priced.
Definitely could use a facelift!
Location and price
No hairdryer. The water in the shower was running very weakly (took a while to wash the shampoo off my hair), and the water wasnt really hot. The room looked a bit old, but for me it wasnt a big issue.
The location is rather good, not far from the subway station. A freezer, a miscowave and a coffee machine - all working well. The staff was very friendsly and helpful.
The bed was very comfortable.
Felt very much like a motel (i.e sleazy). Nothing real stands out to separate it from other motels, except it was clean.
Good value ($80/night). Nice toilet. Was clean. Decent size room.
It's not possible to open the windows. My room was on the lower level and there were no light curtains, just the black outs, so I couldn't let any light in during the day.
Very good value for money. Good coffee in room. Convenient location, nice staff.
Very nice to stay in Alexandria and take the metro into Washington. Motel is a 15 minute walk from Braddock Road Metro, a little longer to King St Metro but there is a free trolley along King St after 10 am. Comfortable beds, nice to have Keurig coffee maker and fridge and microwave. Harris Teeter grocery store only a block away. Could park right outside our motel unit. Great spot for 3 days in Washington.
1) Dismal look of the interior of the room. 2) The absence of handicapped equipment and access
1) Location, proximity to downtown, Reagan National airport, and DC. 2) The effort extended by the staff to make the customers feel valued.
When I arrived at night, there was a group of young teens hanging out in the parking lot and they stayed for hours. Although the gentleman clerk last week was very kind, the hotel clerk this week acted like checking me in was a chore. TV was broken- would not turn on. I reported it to the clerk- but Nothing was ever done. I have canceled all my future stays and booked at the Red Roof Plus.
Thank you for having a Bible in the room. That really means a lot! The bed was very comfortable too!
The staff was really friendly, informative, and accommodating. They went aboveboard to meet my needs
I am quite a traviler and have stayed in many hotels/motels over the past 30 years. I enjoyed the clean room and comfortable bed. The manager (young man) was qutie polite and friendly. The person cleaning the rooms did a great job.
Nice location- great price, kind staff. I plan on staying there whenever I am in Alexandria.
Clean, great bed and DirecTv
It's a motel. That being said, the owners and the staff were great, the facilities clean and comfortable.
plenty of parking, clean room with all needed amenities, redone bathroom
There was nothing I didn't like.
I liked everything. The services was beyond expectations, actually better than a fancy hotel at the downtown in Washington D.C.
However, a construction team of several people took over the hallways and had two loagearge photos staged outside every room on the floor. They then proceeded to slam, bang, drill and hammer. Could have waited til lateR in day to be so loud in halls.
I liked the late check out.
The biggest thing I noticed about the room was very simple. There was no Kleenex box. But the room was worth the price.
The staff was wonderful. We had an 11AM tour of the White House on the day of checkout and they let us keep our luggage in the office for safekeeping.
I thought the shower was a bit small but I'm also rather tall. For my girlfriend however it was fine.
I loved the ease of staying here check in and check out was quick and easy. Also we had an amazing dinner near by at Zenko Sushi. Many other great food options short walk or drive away.
Near the gaylord hotel at a great price
Heater in room hard to adjust. Room got very hot and had to turn off register. That resulted in freezing room.
Very clean room. Very quiet. For the money, good choice. No frills but great location
Great proximity to a grocery store. Nice desk, fridge, microwave, free wifi. I've spent much more for much much less. Can't argue with the value.
A little dark.
Charming old timey place with an old timey tv to match!
