There was chewing tobacco in one of the cabinets. Someone obviously didn't clean or look in there. Left a sweater on the hook in the bathroom. No notification or quick email.Someone is wearing a nice sweater now. Place was great otherwise.
Breakfast was good.
I loved that there was a giant map in reception with business cards showing the location of local restaurants. I also liked how the weather for the day was noted as well as any special festivals or events going on in the area. All hotels should have this!
It's supposed to be a nonsmoking hotel, I think, but you can definitely smell stale cigarette smoke in one wing of the hotel (I think it was the ground floor rooms, but not sure).
New, clean and fresh smell in the whole building.
Front desk attendent told us that breakfast was served until 10:00 am on Sat. Came down at 9:30 and it was closed. Thank you..........
The maid tried forcing her way through our room when the door was locked and tried to unlock our door by putting her hand inside our room from the outside hall.
We liked Everything, particularly the full kitchen.
We would have liked eggs included in the breakfast.
The location was excellent and near everything. Highway close also.
The pool was small. If a family is using it other guest have no room to enjoy it. We felt we had not room .
Easy to locate. Very functional room. Clean, just large enough and quiet.
Breakfast ended at 9:00 am and we missed it by 10 minutes.
I like the facility location close enough to laconia rally and the staff was very nice
I have several issues with the hotel I know the prices are doubled during the rally which I am ok with but I told the person at the hotel we were three adult men and we needed at least two beds and a convertible sofa one man had to sleep on the floor so we put up with that the real turnoff was the roaches in the bathroom. Luckily we were three men who said the hell with it we are all veterans you get to see a lot of that overseas. I did not share any of this information with anyone, but I feel more could have been done besides two hundred dollars off my bill. Lastly every morning we came down for breakfast and sorry your too late. We stay at marriott hotels all over the country. I belong to the combat veterans association we are 6000 strong nationwide ,I also belong to the ama, and the harley owners group which is up to over five hundred thousand so your secret is safe with me. Everything except the complimentary breakfast. Not very extensive.
Wilfred (desk) was extremely helpful and accomodating. Hotel was spacious, rooms were comfortable (particularly reading chairs). I liked that it was apart from the main tourist areas. decent breakfast options - plenty of parking.
Felt bathroom was ready for a thorough cleaning (dust on trim and top tile of shower); night ventilation seemed to be warmer than what thermostat recorded - had it pinned at lowest temp and was still warm.
The workout room is so well stocked. The hotel is so clean you can smell bleach when you walk in. I loved how helpful the front desk was and even offered dinner coupons to local restaurants. The kitchenette was fully stocked. Will certainly be back. The continental breakfast was great and actually had some healthy choices (no eggs tho )
bed was not comfortable at all there was a lack of hot water
We thought the facility was clean, modern and attractive, and the bed and pillows were really comfortable, however...........
Despite the very comfortable and modern surroundings, we had a poor night's sleep because of the outdated HVAC system. It was difficult to get the room cool enough and the fan could not be set to "on" all the time, so it cycled on and off all night long....and we got little sleep. We would be very reluctant to return for that reason alone.
The room was very clean and well maintained. Our room was spacious and it looked exactly like the picture we saw when we chose it. Front desk was friendly and welcomed us with a smile. Pool area was clean.
Game room and bigger pool would be nice. We got lucky and were the only ones using the pool at the time, I can see that w/another family or two the pool would become crowded.
I would give the Marriott Gilford a "very good" rating if that was available! Staff was excellent, location easy to find. Enjoyed breakfast being included. The staff was always pleasant when I called the hotel in advance and very happy to accommodate a reservation change due to illness. I would book again with this hotel
No one was available when we checked in at the front desk. Called the house phone and still had to wait 15 minutes for someone to arrive to check us in. Staff was pleasant when they arrived to assist us.
Staff was very accommodating with our stay last minute we had to extend it due to a snow storm. Charge us according to our rate with Booking.com vs the hotels normal rate.
The recommendations from staff. Comfortable bed. Cleanliness.
