We live close to St. Pete Beach and it makes for a nice weekend getaway. The TradeWinds Island Grand made for one of the best weekend getaways we have ever had in St. Pete Beach. The all inclusive resort style was wonderful. They thought of everything...beach towels, nice cabanas, beach tiki bars, on-site restaurants, multiple pools, kid zone, etc. We will definitely stay there again!

Had to wait almost an hour to check in on Saturday. The front desk wasn't staffed well enough to handle the customers. Asked three times for a manager, and no management came to assist the staff. With that, I was late to a wedding.

Great value! We loved it! My kids had a great time and we did as well. So much to do that is included in the resort fee and the other fun things to do are very affordable. The food was great and priced well. We didn't have a bad meal while we were there. Didn't need to leave the resort except to get things to stock the refrigerator in our room. We will be back! The only thing is the main pool seemed a little small but that is being very picky.

Beautiful resort, great location. nice options as far as restaurants go. I'm not on vacation to stand in line for an hour and a half just to get a cabana. That's insane and something that has to change. I have suggestions if you want them. we stayed at the Grande instead of the Sandpiper to be closer to the slide and such. We were very disappointed that for my $25 resort fee that the blow up slide was not included and that "tickets are required". To me that's sort of a slap in the face for the price of your rooms. I think non resort people should be charged but not those staying there. Other than that it was good.

Excellent location ... well thought out pools. I especially liked the children's pool located under the archway - protected from the sun, yet still outdoors, while parents could, if they wished, lay out in the sun and still be able to keep an eye on the children. The pool area was too crowded, even though there are several pools. The lines were ridiculously long for everything, from cabana rental (people were lining up at 7 AM and the kiosk doesn't open until 9AM) to bunjee jumping. Even though there seemed to be plenty of chairs, the only way to snag enough for the family (4 in our case) was for someone to come out very early and reserve them. We ended up just using our own pad to lay out on the beach. I do have to admit, when I complained to the management, they were very gracious about it. Apparently, this year's Spring Break was a bit more busy than usual.

We liked the available options to eat, and they were never really crowded. We loved the Cabannas on the beach, and all the water sport activities. The staff was all very friendly. We had a great time.

Super attentive staff, they moved out of your way to let you pass by, greeted you. Needed medicine at 1:00 A.M. and the concierge contacted security who let me into the store and charged it to my room. Lots of eateries to meet all tastes, in all price ranges. Clean. Clean. Tons for kids. Separate area and pool for adults. Lush landscaping. And of course on the beach Way too expensive. Wi fi only worked 25% of time. REally? For such an expensive charge.

Checking in was a breeze and front door service was A-1. The beach was clean and private cabanas were plentiful. Separate pools for families with children and adult only pools made it relaxing, not screaming and crying. Paddleboats were available and the route was fun, not boring.

It was a nice hotel with a good variety of activities. The only complaint that I have was that the water pipes banged every time the room next to our used the shower. The 5:30 am showers were annoying. When I mentioned it at checkout the clerk at the desk gave me a questionair to fill out. No appolgy... :(

It was on the beach and allowed the large family that was meeting there to get together in different spots and just hang out. I do not like the $25 fee on top of the room fee and taxes.

Everything was right their. Showers and bathroom by the pool were unattented and very nasty, check out was bad waited a long time in line with other guess plus the towel return policy was a pain to make sure you had your recepit or they charged you room ,so people couldnt check out on the tv we had to go down and stand in line to show or tickets that we returned are towels .some people were mad because they check out on the tv even after they return the towels but forgot to show their tickects and were charged because they didnt show proof (so dont lose your tickect they cant find it in a computer .Also we came up on a friday night at 8:00 and you cant check in till after 4:00 but you were charged a resort fee 25.00 plus tax for cabanas (that you cant us after 6:00 ,and towels and parking which was very bad ! we had to park at the other side of the resort every night and walk all the way across the parking lot to are room (it rain on us ,u will get wet ).

Location...Location...Location...The facility is as nice as when we last stayed there over 15 years ago. The resort fee is excessive @ $25.00 per night and it also gets taxed separately. I feel the rates this hotel charges should cover all that they offer. Upon check-in we upgraded to a ocean view room and was advised of $25.00 night charge, but not told that these charges would also be taxed separately. In the end this brought our total bill over $400.00 for a 2 nite stay.
