From the start of my trip, the staff was exceptional. Carmen, a tenured employee took exceptional care of making sure all 15 rooms were checked in to me, and the Penthouse Auite was incredible! Every room had a fridge and microwave, plus roomy living area. Wonderful place Restaurant service was slow. Restaurant staff very laid back. Food great, not for those in a hurry.

I loved the location and the beach. The kids loved the beach and the pool. The Bell man was excellent. He was fast, friendly and efficient. Room service was quick and good. The checkin was very slow and checking out was slow. We never got housekeeping and with three kids we needed the rooms vaccuumed and swept and we needed clean towels. Our beds were not made. We asked for maintenance due to the lamps in the living room not turning on. He came in and replaced a bulb on one but the other one was not working so he said he would have it replaced the next day but never did.

I had the room next to the main lobby, which turned out to be a very noisy and unpleasant location. Room service skipped my room also

We loved the Trade winds Sandpiper Hotel. It was clean and sunny and had excellent facilities. The staff were very friendly especially in the cafe bar and they were brilliant. Nothing too much trouble. We stayed in the quieter Tradewinds Sandpiper but popped over to the sister Hotel which was also lovely with lots more facilities for weddings and children but also noisier and busier. It depends what you need really.

Our room had a wonderful view of the pool area and the beach. The adult pool was quiet and nice, one good thing about the more intimate venue. The TradeWinds Sandpiper is actually a smaller hotel located a quarter mile up the beach from the main TradeWinds which has all the amenities of activities and shops. We could walk to the main TradeWinds but I did not realize beforehand that there was a distance. The suite was on the small side, double beds rather than queens which was a problem for the tall people in my family. We waited too long to get a beach room (and we needed a suite) and to get this room we needed to pay $277 plus extras, too much I thought, We have gotten better priced and larger suites at the Alden which is between the TradeWinds on St. Pete Beach.

The accommodations were quite nice. We were there for a wedding and the location was convenient to the sites of the wedding and the reception. The front desk service was lacking. The young man at check-in seemed confused and left us unsure about where to go.

Good location in the heart of Clearwater. The beds were uncomfortable. When I signed through bookit, I thought my wife and I were getting a kind bed and we only got 2 double beds which caused us to sleep in a tight bed. I tried to get another room, but they couldn't accommodate. Also, we were surprised to have an extra $25 per day resort fee that wasn't disclosed to my knowledge.

It is right on the beach, comfortable, well-equipped, unpretentious, medium- sized, quiet (no piped music or bands) and link with Tradewinds Grand Island means you can go there if you want louder, more restaurants etc. You probably don't get a sea view unless you book the 1-bed suite, which we did and found it a very pleasant space with enough room for relaxing indoors as well as out. For a 12-day holiday we were glad of the extra space. There are no balconies but the whole of the sitting room window slides open so it's as good as. There are two pools, one on the shady side of the building and no sea view is for adults only. The other, for families with children has the nicest position with nice patio, beach bar, access to beach etc but is full of screaming kids, naturally. Pity about that. Otherwise nothing to complain about! Except your initial e-mail asked if I would answer 4 questions and this is a lot more than that!!

We liked the friendly staff that received us and the closeness to the beach and several restaurants at walking distance. The room we had was quiet and had a view of the beach and swimming pool, no smell of smoke. The room was comfortable but the bedroom with two double beds felt tight of space. The mattress of the sofabed was terribly wobbly and poorly padded. Due to the high temperature in Florida in August the swimming pool water was too warm. This would be a nice place to visit in cooler months.
