Glad it wasn't a chain hotel. Easy access...no stairs. Super clean and cheerful. Loved the yellow towels!
Sounds crazy but the front door has a small window high in the door. Light from a street lamp came in directly on my bed. Some type of covering would help.
Room 2 had more than sufficient space for a family of four. Everything was very clean and simple amenities were provided (e.g. Fridge, Microwave). Wifi was a little weak from the room but strong in the cafe. Free coffee for guests!
Wifi not strong in room. No kettle to boil water but provided when asked in cafe.
Room was clean and inviting and spacious. Beds were comfortable, facilities well equipped, room was conveniently located, and it was easy to find in downtown Seward.
Room was not really a hotel, but just one of two rooms added to a laundromat/coffee shop. I felt uncomfortable opening the window for nighttime sleeping because it was on the Main Street, and I was concerned that someone could come in while I slept. "Trailhead Lodging" sounded like a rustic Alaskan lodge on the internet, so I was quite surprised when I arrived.
Spent a beautiful and private night in Seward in one of only two rooms off of 4th street just a block away from the Catholic church built in 1910.
Was clean, and connected to a coffee shop/ laundry mat. Very close to seward eats. Must eat at seward brewery
Only complaint was the pillows. They were very flat and almost useless.
Clean, good location.
Intense light coming into the bedroom from the half round window in the door. Used a towel to partially block it. Picture of a fragment of the entire store/residence misleading. It is not, in the true sense, an Inn, but a B and B.
Great location, quiet and clean. Not fancy but very comfortable.
Rissie, the owner, was very helpful with tour information and set up a tour for me. When I was unable to stay for another night, she set me up at another facility.
Everything was great.
Nice and clean
We loved the freedom and availabiity to downtown Seward.
It was easy to find, extremely easy to check in, quiet and very clean. In the morning realizing there was no coffee pot I was leaving to find coffee and found they owned an espresso, smoothie, deli and laundry mat right next door. Excellent coffee, food and service. It was also extremely clean with excellent customer service.
Was not a "plush hotel". but was perfect for us. They delivered to us a concierge book vs. just leaving it in the room. The information was much needed in the book.
No tissues, no disposable cups or bath mat, no way to make coffee or tea in room--just little comfort things. We had arrived when shop would be closed so without food we had to walk into town. Staff was so eager to help when we/they were there. I would recommend it but be better prepared to have basics like a snack, cups.
Spacious clean room with comfy bed, generous shampoo supply, owner very helpful, good contact, great cafe next door, location excellent, walking to seward restaurants and shops, sea life centre and sea front. Very good value for Alaska.
Nothing I didn't like, really picky but maybe a couple of cups would be good.
spacious room, clean, close to the docks
no hair dryer, no coffee maker in the room
very clean, owner very nice, welcome sign on door was nice
hair dryer would have been nice
Very clean with plenty of room. Free shuttle at door. Easy walk to waterfront and downtown shops and restaurants.
No Toiletries Very little amenities No complimentary coffee At the time, no working cable/dish, was unable to watch television
