The food was excellent as well as the staff. We were there for our anniversary and they treated us like royalty.
loved the cozy room 3rd fl over the main foyer(front desk area), but it was VERY warm all night, could not determine how to shut off heat. had to open a window to cool down
love the decor, we stayed there on our honemoon 30 yrs ago and have been back several times over the years.
The locker rooms in the fitness center were very small.
The Trapp family lodge was an authentic Austrian experience. The staff were very pleasant.
the lodge needs a facelift!
Location being on the mountain. Being outside of the town of Stowe.
The guy at the cabin was surly and acted like it was his cabin and he did not want guests but had to until 15:00 and could not wait until 15:01 he was not there on Wednesday at noon but was earlier in the week
Ian the doorman was a five the desk staff was 4.5. Patricia the masuse was 4.5
no refrige in room. soup ox tail more like bulion cube
great room great beer
Skip the Ben and Jerry's tour. Complete waste of time.
They upgraded us to Maria Von Trapp's actual living quarters! Marvelous experience! The wood-burning fireplace made the evening. Delicious German food for dinner.
We paid a good rate for a deluxe room, total close to $400. Went to walk in the rain on the advertised trails and were asked to pay $10 a piece! Felt nickled and dimed. Everything was extra, even the pool. I expect some items to be extra but walking the trails by yourself, extra! The sink in our room had old cracks in it. The room felt old and not kept up! Very dissappointed!
Rooms old be updated 12 Flys in room had to kill when arrived and the heat in the bathroom would not shut off ( 90 in the bathroom tge whole time) accidently gave us 2 doubles when we booed a king.
Location ,view and staff were excellent! Amazing resort that is very comfortable with Excellent food and service.
Nothing. Everything was either good or excellent.
Mountain biking followed by lounging by the pool capped off with heady toppers in the jacuzzi looking down at Stowe.
Waiters in lounge not to friendly!
Food was fabulous! Beautiful setting !
some areas are getting tired and need replacement (sink tops/carpets) or repair/paint. otherwise a beautiful inn.
setting, staff, food, the sugaring tour by chris, the many amenities.
They ran out of Vienna Lager, could not bring some home, it is the best.
The views are fantastic, hiking great, spa treatment was outstanding. Oh and the food was excellent. One of the nicest places we have ever stayed. Seeing the photos of the real von Trapp family were a treat too. Nothing dated about the Lodge, pure Austrian Alps design absolutely Wonderful.
Old fashion room should be renewed. It's too expensive for the quality of the room (Suite Salzbourg).
Location with amazing view, swimming pool, very good staff
Similar to previous views of Trapp I had read before our trip I found the food to be overpriced and sub par. We tried the Wiener Schnitzel our first night in the Lounge. I imagine it was cooked in the main kitchen . As a signature dish for $ 29.00 along with some watery mushrooms for an extra $3.00 it was really sub-par. The delicatessen on the property was better ,but we had dinner the next night just down the road at Ten Acres Lodge and it was splendid. I really did not want to leave the Trapp Family property for food. In fact, I was going to look into their Time Share, but when I am in a beautiful & natural resort like the The Trapp I do not want to have to find another place to eat in the evening--especially in the winter. Guests pay enough to stay there . People should be driving to Trapp to enjoy their cuisine and hospitality not away from it.
All the staff were excellent . They seem to love their jobs & are very helpful. The gardens and the location and facilities are splendid, but they do come at a price. You will never be disappointed by the people at Trapp.
We didn't get the room we reserved online and the facility is run down. Lawns were not manicured.
Nothing But would prefer longer hours at the deli as it was so good
Unbelievable location Great facilities 100%
The facility is somewhat dated and needs updating especially in the older part. Be sure to ask for one of the newer rooms and a balcony.
The location/property is gorgeous. The Nordic trails in the winter and hiking trails in the summer are fabulous.
The location The "homy"feeling The outdoor center
15 min away from ski area but parking was well facilitated at the hotel and the ski area
