the shower was hot
the clerk told me the room number. then when i asked for a general direction she acted as if that was the last straw.
Went for the day to Port Aransas and decided to stay the weekend, could not find anything available there, or affordable just for the night, so we found Americas Best Value Inn, the rooms were clean, we had dinner at their restaurant and it was delicious. the waitress was super, super nice. had a very good night sleep. definitely would come back to this hotel. Rossy from San Antonio, Texas
Look for travelodge and not for ABV. The common space is old and not in good conditions The swimming pool is very nice, however inside the air is un-breathable because of the steam and chlorine
i liked pretty much everything ! I will definitely go back and stay at this place !
Comfortable beds and nice cold rooms.
Rooms really not updated. Just the flat screen was updated .
Availability during 7/4 weekend & price.
Space in restroom, door proximity to toilet. Stains on carpet. Dirt build up in corners. Dingy.
hotel was in transision from Travel Lodge to Best Value, poor informatiion in regards to signs an location informstiol Noisy morning staff
I had trouble with my reservation but Holly was very helpful and patient!
Like the fact that was continental breakfast included. Pool was great for kids. Room was excellent size.
Location was Not close to beach. Breakfast was limited and there was a breakfast natzie that wouldn't allow u to take breakfast out of dining area. Pool had flying bugs in it. Needed some cleaning. Rooms needed additional blankets.
dirty pool water
Hot, old, not well maintained.
Indian/Arabian owner was rude, and harassed my kids when they played on the tennis court. House keeping didn't clean our room on our 2nd night stay and we had to fold our own beds and take trash out, and go and get our own fresh towels from the office! What a vacation!
Friendly staff. Plenty of options to keep kids busy at hotel.
Got smoking when requested non smoking ( booking. Com communication); roaches in room, children unattended running and yelling in halls until late at night; someone bouncing a basketball in tennis court at midnight. Room didn't cool well.
The rooms were dirty, looked as if they had not been vacuumed in weeks. The toilet did not flush when we arrived and it took 24 hrs for them to send thier version of a repairman. The shower leaked and the air conditioner was broken. The breakfast they advertise is spotty at best some days its there others its not. The staff was rude and not personable at all. Over all this hotel is in severe disrepair and I will never stay there or any other travelodge location.
The only thing good I can say about this property is the TV worked and the outdoor pool and grounds area looks attractive but you cannot access it from your sliding glass room door even though it looks out over the pool grounds due to security reasons and the curtain's that won't open due to being very old, opening from the opposite side as the door latch/dead bolt and a 60's style pull string opener that is broke. If the owners of the property could put as much effort into the rest of the property as they did in the pool area and get rid of the roaches this property may be worth $30-$40 nightly. I cannot believe this property has not been condemned and they are allowed to charge money to stay there.
Worst hotel experience ever. Arrived 4/14/14 and hoped to finishing filing my taxes while spending time at the pool or beach. Spotty WiFi in the rooms, had to use the business center, planned to stay 2 nights, left after 1 since my experience was so awful and I needed better private internet access to complete my task in a more clean environment. The building is very old and probably should be torn down or completely gutted. When I walked into the lobby I was greeted by chlorine smell from the pool I knew I made a mistake and I started checking availability for other properties nearby. The guest service agent, April had to yell a greeting to me since the desk is down the hall a ways. She was chatting with a male who may have been a guest or friend. This should have been my second hint to leave. Everything on the property needs tossed or replaced and the agents need training on protocol. The outdoor entrances to the building were surrounded by smokers so I had to walk through the smoke to get in. There were mostly male guests (I saw 1 other female the next day) and truckers and I asked the agent if I could get a more secure room on the 2nd floor since I was traveling as a single female. I also inquired where the most secure place to park. She promised that my room was the safest since it was in direct view of the front desk and the best place to park was in front of the building due to being more security lights. In my room, the curtains needed replacing, no sheers and the curtain string slider was broke. The bed cover was stained and when I asked for another, April gave me a mattress cover sheet and blanket that looked 50 years old, with the ends torn and knotty yarn, this blanket should only be used for a animal or as a packing blanket for movers. The security light outside my sliding glass door was on all night and snuck into my room from around the edges of the very old curtains.
Poor customer service rude manager
$20.00 Refund that I received from maintenance requests that we had to have for our toilet. The look of the indoor and outdoor pool even though we did not use it. The mini fridge was cold and the microwave was functional.
The hotel had a mildew smelling odor when you walked into the rooms, there were holes in the walls in the rooms and some of sockets were not covered up. The bathrooms were not cleaned properly. The windows and window sills has dirt and junk everywhere. There were roaches that had to be killed in our room, we have no idea where it came from because it did not come from our luggage. The so-called continental breakfast was awful. It was frozen waffles that you buy in the grocery store. There was no meat with breakfast. No good fruit was put out. Toaster was burning the waffles. Microwave in the bar area was dirty. The floors were dirty. Very dim looking restaurant area. Would not eat in the restaurant or use the bar for anything. Had to have maintenance come out and fix toilet twice because it started to flush real slow when we got there but then it would not flush at all. Wi Fi did not work properly in one of our rooms. Had to keep putting in the WiFi code and it would start to work but then it kept stopping. I would not stay at this hotel again!
Room was dirty! Coffee pot had mold with coffee in it. Floor was dirty, towels where stained, and beds smelled.
It was close to the airport and one of the few hotels that had shuttle service to the airport
The pool wasn't open
easy to find.
noisy, and a toilet that wouldn't stop running.
The staff was very friendly and helpful. I liked the free shuttle service, it was fairly prompt and friendly. I was unsure of the neighborhood, and it seemed like there were lots of construction workers staying there, (or refining trade workers) and I felt a bit like all eyes were on me. Being a female traveling alone, I probably would not stay here again. (by the way, this comment should be in the didn't like column)
The room was an "upgrade" It wasn't overly clean. There were mirrors on the ceiling that had finger prints and just looked really dirty. It made me unsure of the cleanliness of the bedding. I pulled back the sheets and completely removed the comforter. The bedding was fine and I did not return the comforter while I was using the bed. There wasn't baseboard in parts of the bathroom, and the area where the baseboard was missing was really soiled. The continental breakfast left a lot to be desired, but it was nice to have something as opposed to none.
The staff member upon our check in the first evening. A+ to her, I wish all of the staff were that pleasant. The whirlpool tubs are awesome, I recommend them to all. Well worth the extra money.
The second night we were called by a very rude staff member and told that we were NOT booked for two nights and needed to leave the hotel. She said you be better bring the proof in the morning! Lack of gluten free food. (Flour- free)- yogurt would be a good alternate if gluten free.
