Dark, dark room... Only 1 tv channel.... 2 ceiling tiles moved, exposing openings to attic... Coffee making not working properly.... Big gap around outside door...
Location and price
Not a lot
Urine stain on toilet on arrival, insects in bathroom, musty smell
Bathroom great room could use a better cleaning
The morning breakfast and the coffee in the bathroom.
have to people for another person to stay night. That was sad. Dont like it. Even when thete are together
Room service options
The noise from street
It's a really short walk to Riverwalk and the Alamo
Needs improvement in presentation
Very old looking room with hot iron burns on the carpet. Old tube television and old looking linen.
When I walked into the room it did not feel inviting. It made me feel like I was in a bad horror movie. Rooms are too small. The pool was awful. My son was scared to stay there. We cancelled and went to another hotel.
Close to Riverwalk and Alamo, free parking definitely a plus
AC stopped during the night, beds are hard, only 2 pillows
Close to Alamo/ Riverwalk area.
Broken beer bottles in walk ways. Scary people!!! Would NOT recommend!!!
The toilet was dirty and the location of the hotel not so nice. The room for the breakfast was ugly and the food not so good.
The location of the hotel was pretty good, the fact that it served breakfast and had parking was also great
The room was really dark and dirty with a layer of dust on top of everything, the furniture was old, as were bed covers with holes burnt out by cigarettes
I did not like nothing about the place. It should get no stars and out of booking web site. And my money back if I could
Did not have enough parking. They had non functional apliances. The staff was notified. We was told they bring us what we need. Was lied too. They never came and claimed that we never said nothing.
The bed was old and lumpy ice machine had slime on the outside only one halfway gave ice ac suckered was hot needed no covers
Location, price was excellent
The only suggestion I have is the AC in our room took forever to cool down due to sun hitting it all day. I would suggest a window tint to help cool off room.
The closeness to the river walk
Everything , wouldn't even shower in the dirty tub
the staff in charge of breakfast werent kind but its ok they made just their job.
The main thing i liked about this hotel was it's proximity to the river walk. It was a last minute reservation, and was satisfied with how short my walk actually was (~5 min) The hotel was just what you can expect from a Travelodge, simple. Room was clean, well kept, but very dim. You could tell by the smell of fresh paint that there had been a very recent renovation in their restroom. Smell was only in the rr, though. Which, other than the poor paint job, actually looked pretty nice. The bed was comfortable enough for me. I slept very well. I was pleased with my one night stay. The pool seemed well kept as well.
Two things I didn't like. One, their staff is not friendly at all. At both check in and check out they seemed bitter. No smile, no welcoming attitude. The one I spoke to at check out was even condescending when I asked her a question about payment. I'm very big on customer service this would be the reason for me not choosing this place in the future. For a very few more bucks I can get a closer place and hopefully friendlier staff. The second thing I didn't like was that I woke up with a HUGE red bug bite on the dorsal aspect of my foot. I wore t-shoes that entire day. The only time my feet were exposed was during sleep. I do not know where that bite came from but it was there when I woke up the morning of check out. Im not saying the place is infested with critters, it just makes me wonder a bit.
The air conditioner had one temp and would not turn off. Ran all night. Loud and annoying. It was rigged to a wall thermostat but to no avail. The wiring looked faulty. The carpet had a burn from the iron. The pillows were small and looked dirty.
It was an easy walk to the river walk and Alamo
There wasn't a fridge in the room as stated (luckily I brought a nice chest) also the breakfast was only cereal a muffin a banana or a waffle hmmm... The room was comfy and fairly clean but there was a safe in the room by the door that you couldn't close and I tripped over it and hurt my leg and foot trying to go out the door so that should be moved! Other than that it was an overall good stay!
The location was fine.
The entry light didn't have a light bulb. The other lamps weren't plugged in. There weren't even enough outlets for the lamps, tv, clock, fridge & microwave to be plugged in at the same time. The TV didn't work until I messed with it. The sink was chipped and continued to do so during our stay. The toilet clogged and it took all night to get a plunger. Our overall impression was blah. Wouldn't stay there again.
close to downtown.
did not look like the pictures. beds were old and hard. room smelled a bit funny. beds were small. breakfast could have been a bit better. overpriced for the value
