    Expensive for what it is, but that seems to be true for all of Anchorage. Certainly was fine for one night.

    A little run down. The odd hole in the wall and carpets looked dirty and well-used. The kind of place where you're sure to use a suitcase stand if available.

    The manager, front desk person, and courtesy shuttle driver (three functions in the same one person, tall, male African american) on our departure on the evening of 07/30/14 was excellent. Good attitude, helpful, handled a stressful multitask job perfectly. Pay him well.

    The female front desk person on our arrival on the afternoon of 07/29/14 seemed 'in over her head'. Very ineffective, slow, not helpful. She needs training desperately.

    The staff at Barratt Inn was great. On this trip through Alaska I stayed at five different hotels. No other staff came close to the friendliness and helpfulness of the folks at Barratt.

    They were under staffed both times we were in town. There was only one person working each time we stayed there. So that person would have to leave the desk come to the airport and no one was there to sure other people at the desk. The staff was nice folks but was not impressed with the way it operates!

    Have stayed here from the past work days. They have improved conditions rooms. Restaurant was closed but food is close by. Taxis and bus lines are good alternate.

    Getting the message at 5:55am Alaska time. From booking folks.

    Close to airport, on Lake Spenard.Restaurants and fast food( Subway next door) within walking distance.Free coffee.

    The hotel was close to the airport and offered free 24 hour shuttle service. Although this is an older facility our room had many upgrades and they were doing addiitioal remodeling

    Absolutely nothing.

    First of all the hotel is nothing like the pictures. The rooms are old and bland. Nothing on the walls to add character or to add a comfortable feeling. The first room we were put in had 2 double beds that were made differently which was the first red flag, not to mention, one was completely covered in sand which was disgusting. I don't know what was in that room , but I could not stop sneezing. Went to complain and were promised a different clean room. The front desk lady said she would clean it herself and leave the keys for us by the time we got back from taking our friend to the airport. We got back and waited for a half hour before seeing anyone. At this point we are tired and it is almost 1am. The new room was better than the first and we agreed to stay only because we were just too tired to drive back home. We had no soap and about a half a roll of toilet paper in the new room. This place was a complete disappointment and not worth half the money they are charging per room.

    As a base of operation in Alaska, the location worked well. We there a night and gone and then back and gone again so it worked out well.

    Close to airport.

    Lengthy sign-in procedure. Signature required on 5 pieces of paper. I had previously been at 2 other hotels in area and only had to sign once.

    Beds were comfortable !!!

    When we went to room, carpet was dirty, bathroom wasn't cleaned properly, old smelly hand towel found behind toilet, small refrigerator was dirty/sticky residue inside and room smelled/stale odor and AC unit DID NOT work!!!

    Beds were comfortable They had installed a new carpet in the room. Price was more reasonable but still over $100. They did offer airport shuddles service when ever you needed it.

    Room was not finished. Were in the process of remodeling. Toilet tank cover was borken in half. Did not flush properly. Tiles in bath were not clean. Roon needed more work.

    Very close to airport

    Room and hallways had musty odor. Had requested a top floor, quiet room - got a first floor room. VERY thin curtains and with 24 hour daylight in Anchorage was hard to sleep.

    Airport pickup

    My reservation was not at the hotel when I arrived. The clerk made me wait until she got a fax of the reservation. Then while I paid for 2-nights the morning clerk said I was only booked for 1 night. I made the reservation for a higher rate then the clerk quoted to someone on the phone, and would not give me the lower rate.

    Location

    Where to start...upon arrival there was some sort of incident and seven police cars were out front, no one at front desk for almost 20 minutes...but the worst was the room! Smelled like an ashtray, filthy stained sheets, red stains on carpet, no locks on windows, lights that didn't work, filthy. Both my visitor and could not even sleep because the conditions were terrifying. Very shady people wandering around property. We would have left however it was 2am in a city we didn't know. We left first thing in the morning. Worst hotel I've ever stayed at. We took pictures of the conditions. Will not recommend.

    Not much at all. I made reservations but they didn't have them when I got there. Did get a room but they forgot somehow to mark the room was in use and the hotel unlocked our door turned on the light in our room when we were already in bed to see if the room was vacant. Not very clean either.

    Clock didn't work right, no towel to step out onto from the shower, tub had enamel chipped off, fan in bathroom didn't work, over all not very appealing. Used to be a fairly nice hotel.

    My room was spacious, the staff was honest enough to give me back my license when I forgot it, and the shuttle service to the airport was excellent.

    There was no way to buy detergent in the laundry room. Most guests wouldn't think of bringing their own. I had to wait until I got home to do my wash.

    Close to airport and walking distant to restaurants. Liked the new colors.

    laundry room had one dryer broken. so it took longer to do our laundry with others also having to wait. Would have been nice to be notified that they were under renovations. And better clean up when paint was dry.

    Staff were outstanding, location was great, the room was great value for money - nice linen, all the extras (fridge, TV, iron, coffee maker, toiletries)
