Very old windows/doors made the airport noise very loud. Outdated design, but still moderately comfortable.

I liked that there was a pool and a store in the complex. I also liked that it was so close to Denny's and that each room has a private balcony.

I Stayed in Travelodge for 2 separate nights before & after I went to San Diego. Hotel are basic, room clean & spacious. Staff are mostly friendly. The hotel also offer FREE Wifi & continental breakfast which is pretty good. The hotel is near the airport & they have free shuttle bus for pick up & drop off 24 hrs. & the shuttle bus leave the hotel every half an hour. The room has got everything you needed for except fridge & safe box. They even have swimming pool, laundry facility & garden are well maintained. There is also free parking. ( first come, first serve) You can also store your luggage there for US$2.50/night. In general I think it is a good value hotel to stay.

I liked the garden in the inner yard with the flowers in full bloom - very refreshing. The mini store inside was a big help for us, since we checked in late - we bought water, juice, etc. We had dinner at Denny's which was adjacent to the hotel - very convenient. Wifi in the room was much appreciated.. Very quick check-in and check-out

For us, the lighting in the room was not adequate.

I was very pleasantly surprised by the standard of the hotel. I chose it for the price and convenience to LAX because there was a risk that we might not have made our connection and I didn't want to lose too much money if that should happen. Our room turned out to be very clean and comfortable. The reception staff were all friendly and helpful, especially the young man who advised me about tours/taxi trips that we could take to fill in 5 hours the next morning. The Travel Lodge booked the trip for us and we were very pleased with it. The shuttle service from the airport to the hotel was excellent and the drivers were very helpful. One of the most striking, unexpected features was the lovely, quiet garden area. We would definitely stay there again as it was excellent value for money.

It was rather a long walk from the lobby to our room but, on the positive side, it was quiet. The breakfast wasn't wonderful. There were only 2 cereals to choose from and only one item of hot food but there was a plentiful supply of yoghourts, bread for toasting and 3 waffle makers.

Closeness to the airport

I was given a pet room which I did not appreciate. I would of prefer to be notified prior in making the reservation.

Bryan at front desk was very kind and helpful. The ladies when we checked in not so much. Everyone else very wonderful. Made up for the condition of the hotel room. Eek. I wouldn't suggest anyone I know stay here. But like I said the staff made it nice. Oh the $5 bus ride to Manhattan beach was just wonderful.

How far removed "pushed' to the back of hotel. Not appropriate for mom traveling with 2 young girls. Didn't like the useless lil store/gift shop... The shower in our room was too icky to consider showering in. And the signs yes signs/note cards bout food attracts ants.... Ewww...and the denny'S...oh my gosh ewww and 45 mins to wait for shuttle...unacceptable and the fact they didn't care when I mentioned...not very good customer service (the ladies at check in)

Ambience, Plantings

The staff were very helpful when we asked for a ground floor room because we have a baby and lots of luggage. They upgraded us to a family room with microwave and fridge at no extra charge. Breakfast was included and was pretty decent, although the room becomes very crowded. Their shuttle bus to the airport was very convenient and the staff encouraged us to take advantage of that.

Shuttle took 45 minutes to pick me up at lax. Drapes would not close. Trouble finding room. Room was cold and heater didn't work.

Staff was very helpful and nice. The garden, trees and all the area is very pleasant and relaxing. I will look forward to stay there again.

I have only one complain but it's nothing to do with the hotel. They accommodated me and my child in the rear quite side as requested but at 2am I heard the people upstairs going back and for for about 2 hours before they took their shower and left around 6am (not so much sleep at all - I wish people will start consider the other guests... I guess there's always tomorrow!)

very quaint, we thought we were on the set of a 1960's TV show, like 77 Sunset Strip.
