Free parking, location-facility is centrally located On the firsty floor and room door opened directly to the outside parking lot. I didn't feel safe as there were a ton of people walking past my door and the do not disturb sign I had up disappeared. Very "1980" needs to be remodeled

Good location. Clean room with all amenities (hair dryer, coffee pot and coffee, bathroom toiletries, including make up remover and a special paper bag just for disposal of feminine products!) Also, pretty decent continental, with cereal and toast, well stocked as it goes fast. (Personally, from a humanitarian point of view, I don't mind if the desk clerk turns a blind eye if not just hotel guests avail themselves. Watched also as maids had a work-like exchange with homeless man collecting glass and plastic, seems an everyday, mutually beneficial occurrance.) Situated as it is on Market Street visitors should be prepared to be exposed to a slice of street life. No complaints. Thanks to this site I got best price ever (thank you!) Place is pricey, but to be expected.

Nothing My room had bed bugs. I woke up at 2am and my body was inflamed with bug bites. I called the front desk to complain and they offered me a room change. I had to transport all my stuff in the middle of the night to another insect infested room. I complained to the manager in the morning and only offered half my money back, and asked me to file a complaint with Wyndom. His offer was ridiculous and should have given my entire money back. He did not seem remorseful or apologetic to my situation. I showed him all the fresh bug bites and the inflammation it caused. Absolute horrid experience. I should have paid twenty bucks more for a better hotel. Absolute worst. You're better off sleeping on the streets.

The price was fair for the closeness to the city centre. Staff were nice and they put me in a quiet room down the back after traveling from offshore so I appreciated that. The room was a decent size with a fridge and mircowave so that was great. There is a bit of homeless around but did not bother me and were controlled by Hotel staff. There is a bit of noise at night but I suspect you would get that anyway in a lot of places in San Francisco. No Laundry but there was a Landramat across the road though.

The price was incredibly high compared to any other reasonable (quality) establishment. Front desk personnel slow and inefficient. Rooms disgustingly dirty. Noise from street (first night room at street level, street side. Dubious patrons, very noise, violently altercating at 2÷3h.00 AM, every night (3!!!) Poor breakfast. Safes not working (hotel policy!) It was a damp for 200 USD a night, if you do not believe me try it for yourself.

When we checked in we were told we can leave the car parked until 3 pm the next day, we checked out before 11am the next day and were told we couldn't leave our car by another person, while leaving the parking lot another staff member told us we could of left the car until 4, we had to pay for another day worth of parking at another lot 3 blocks away. Durin breakfast alot of guest had to keep asking the guy behind the counter for utensils, he should of been keeping track of our needs. The night before when we checked in I asked for more pillows, I got 2 more, our room had two queen size beds with 2 pillows each, we were unable to get any more because they ran out, our sleep was really uncomfortable. Staff should really know how to run all facilities. Never stayin here again!

Good toiletries. It was available. Gave me a smoking room as requested. Mostly is was horrid. The loudest hotel I have ever stayed in. I spent 130 dollars a night to be kept up all night by partygoers and then the hotel began construction above my bed at the wee hours of the morning. I literally did not sleep at all during my stay. The jackhammer type sound was awful, it was like standing at the base of an elevator shaft and hearing every clank of the metal reverberate in the small space. I like the assortment of bathroom freebies and the room isn't horrible, but it's horribly overpriced, the fridge makes crazy noises when plugged in, the towels are nonsensically stored in the shower, the "breakfast" is toast, the check in guy is completely incompetent, and there was no parking left (the incompetent check in guy told us to park in a zip car spot but we were told by another hotel staff member that we would surely get a parking ticket for this!).

Well known chain. Held up to expectations. Close to alternative type clubs and bars. Not as bad as other reviews give it. Location is interesting and adventurous. There is a strong homeless presence downtown however none of them bothered me (or anyone), some are even quite friendly and helpful. I wouldn't recommend for a family with children planning to walk around. The location is only a couple blocks from areas where the homeless congregate mostly, however if this is a concern, take a back street south of market street. Totally different vibe two streets over!

First off, the location was awful. The surrounding streets were plagued with homeless people and drug addicts who constantly badgered us for money and food. I felt unsafe on a regular basis. On more than one occasion we actually caught homeless people looking in our window to see if we were in our rooms. My friend also managed to get pick-pocketed on a bus by a homeless person less than 2 munites from the travellodge. Secondly, the rooms themselves were equally awful. They were extremely dark and unwelcoming and could only be described as mustard coloured bat- caves. Now on to the actual problems. Upon checking in, I specifically stated that I wanted to pay by cash and that I did not feel comfortable using my credit card which they said was perfectly fine. However, the next day when I checked my bank balance, I found a charge of $700 on top of the cash I had already paid at check in. When I went to the front desk to complain, the staff had absolutely no idea what was going on, and did nothing more than mumble the word "bro" for 10 minutes and place the blame on other people, without helping me in the slightest. Long story short, the San Francisco Travellodge is unsafe, unclean, unwelcoming, and the staff are unprofessional and incompetent.

I liked the price, it was affordable and was what I expected for the amount I paid Use booking.com to check rates. The front desk quoted me a rate higher than what was posted on this site. After waiting for half an hr went to my room and walked in and it was occupied. Then the front desk clerk was giving me attitude like it was my fault. They need more options on their free breakfast buffet.
