Dirty old bedding and carpets
Service, friendliness, location
Balconies needed repair
Clean and standard room.
Non smoking room but we little bit smelt cigarett. Slow WIFI.
Closed all and is good place around
The location was great for those wanting to visit fishermans wharf or the surrounding areas. There a a TON of restaurants in the area. The pizza place next door is amazing. The staff was super nice. It was also very clean and smelled that way.
Nice neighborhood, not too far from some tourist attractions.
High price for a small and relatively dark room.
Lombard location, parking provided
#104 stained, warped carpets, almost tripped, stained chair, pungent neutralizing spray, needed to air out room to not breathe fragrance fumes. #101 close to street, loud all night, upstairs tenant in& out all nite, walk and closing door til 3:30am unable to sleep.
no ice, no water in the machine, room needs a lot of TLC, parking was a mess (lack of spaces), the room was not cleaned properly during our stay, plain and simple the worst stay of our lives
it was a last minute booking at this hotel and i got it 61 % off. i don't think i would go back to this hotel at full price. because WiFi worked but not all to good, there is no complementary breakfast and parking is free but very limited and compact. staff was very friendly and helpful.the location is kinda great. anyway may staying there was not traumatic but also not something i would die for to go back
The free parking The location
Location was ok, right near Golden Gate Park. The staff were very helpful. Lots of cafe, diners etc nearby. Bit of a long way to downtown, but we knew that.
Problem with the water heating boiler. No hot water on our first night. Boiler replace and old boiler left right outside our room. No discount offered for the inconvenience.
l liked how helpful and kind the staff were.
The beds were horrible. We could feel the springs on the mattress digging into us...terrible. Woke up so sore and didn't sleep well at all.
Sorry, I want an elevator to get my luggage to my third floor room. DON'T ADVERTISE WIFI BECAUSE CONNECTION IS IFFY! I can't stay there again.
The location was great-very easy to get anywhere, and right on the big bus tour route. The staff were friendly, but slow in service.
This hotel was definitely not worth the money- the area is most likely what you are paying for and it seems like most hotels in this area were around the same price. It was an average place for an above average cost. The Internet was slow and didn't really work half the time, our phone was broken, and when we first arrived there were some stains on the sheets and on the small chair. Kind of gross.
Reception girl was very helpful.
Disgusting. They use 1980 era bedcovers that have not been cleaned in 10 years. Dirty carpets, furniture, chair seating, everything. Didn't even sit on the bed without putting a clean sheet down first. Total dump.
Very close to main attractions and accessible by Bus # 30 with few mins.
Parking is first come first basis, there is no breakfast for this hotel where as other similar hotels do provide it.
good location in vibrant area, close to bus stops and walking distance from water front
small-ish car park, sign hard to see when arriving by car
Very helpful staff carried our bags up to the third floor. Also helpful with WiFi
No elevator to upper floors where guests are put if staying more than 1-2 days. Should mention this in ads. Buildings look old and in need of upgrading.
Very nice staff. I have recently also stayed in a Travelodge in Calgary Alberta and found the staff very polite.
Towels were no longer white, many stains. Toilet seat needs to be replaced as enamel is coming off. Stairs up to top level look like they have been affected by an earthquake.
Best location in SF, 5 minute cycle to the beach and 20 minute cycle to Golden Gate Bridge, you pay for the location and nothing else. It's a nice place with an amazing location.
Rooms aren't the best but that's not the point of going there.
The location was great for tourists, ideal area to stay I would definitely recommend. Although the price of the hotel was very expensive although San Francisco seems this way. Lombard street offers great food and pubs, and a short hike up the hills and your through to Fishermans Wharf. Definitely take a bike ride of Golden Gate Bridge and through to Sausalito and ferry back it's beautiful! Also take the cable cars there so much fun! There is homeless people around San Francisco but don't be scared their friendly and don't bother you as two girls we felt safe especially in lombard street area.
The price of the hotel was overpriced I would expect a 4* for what we paid. The staff could communicate more and offer a little more advice, the wifi could also be better as it's slow. I would also book Alcatraz in advance as it was sold out for us. Otherwise a wonderful trip!
The staff are friendly and helpful. The room rate is reasonable. It's a good location in an interesting neighborhood with good restaurants and shopping.
Dilapidated/old structure. The smell in the room.
The outside of this hotel looks shady but the room was very very clean and kept up very well. We were pleasantly surprised! I would return to this hotel for sure!
Front desk staff were dry and a bit rude at times. The outside looks shabby. Noise level from the street very high.
