Score from 200 reviews Very good
i liked the laid back attitude of the staff and the general feel of the whole place
i didnt like having to re login to the wifi 3 times a day
Quiet. Convenient location.
Indifferent staff. Spotty room cleaning. Odor on hallways.
Location, underground parking...
Tawdry in all respects. Stay at Quality inn across the street. Same price, infinitely better.
Great location. Well heated. Good supply of hot water. The girl who cleaned rooms was really polite and friendly.
Customer service dreadful. Girl on desk unfriendly needs to learn to smile. Room was shabby had to ask for fridge and light bulbs. Girl staff member hovered around breakfast area unnecessarily made guests feel unwelcome. Pipes under sink in bathroom leaked when the fawcwtt was turned on. Current owners aren't paying bills as a tradesman was overheard demanding overdue Bill needs paying. Threatened to put a lien on the hotel. Place needs a good paint and upgrade. Plus needs friendly staff.
Rates were cheap.
Bathtub was clogged, never drained. Our room 107 had the plumbing running through the wall, which was loud. Each time someone flushed or showered in the hotel, we heard it. Two of us ended up going home with bug bites that looked/burned like bedbugs bites. Usually for cheap places I'm willing to look past the cheap mismatched furniture, funky smells and disgruntled staff, but this was a gross room. In hind sight, not worth it.
The free juice
The smell of the room
Clean room comfortable, good value for money. Breakfast was good as was the fruit and the bickies. Exceeded our expectations for price. Plenty of parking underneath
Location is close to the main road and shopping stores
The staff are too slow and lack of customer relations. Overall the service is very poor
Continental breakfast and coffee was very much appreciated. The owner himself was nice and helpful.
There is a pretty long laundry list of aspects of this hotel I didn't like. First of all, the front desk customer service attendant was absolutely terrible. She was constantly on her phone talking to someone and listening to music on her headphones. When I would come up for assistance it felt like I was inconvinicing her asking for help. She was very rude. The room itself was wasn't the best either. The handle to get into our room was broken. There was still masking tape on the door handles from when they were painting. Although the bathroom was clean, the toilet paper holder was broken and they just left the toilet paper on top of the toilet. The shower handle wasn't 100% broken but it was very loose. The Hot water did work well. The lamp cover in the main bedroom was broken. Any slight vibration would cause it to fall off. The television was from the early 90s and would lose signal often. Finally the bed was fairly hard. It was not the most comfortable beds. I did not enjoy my stay at this establishment for these reasons. They need to seriously work on thier hospitality.
Older, needs updating.
Indoor parking Safe deposit Cheap
Old, not well maintained Smells of insecticide Poor TV No blankets Staff indifference
The price, location, and the staff.
Room was a little small and out of date.
Bed bugs!!! Stayed one night and left with bed bug bites all over my legs.
The room was large and our dog was comfy.
Bathroom is a bit small, but that's ok as the room was large
Water backed up in sink, shower with almost no pressure (and I am a big fan of conservation, but this was ridiculous). Dresser drawers not intact - falling apart and not usable. Bed hard as a rock and pillow way to firm and thick. My neck felt awful and I woke up a lot at night. Sorry about negative review, but I should have paid a little more and stayed elsewhere.
The staff was so friendly. The bed was comfortable. I went up for the weekend and it was the perfect place to stay. It's no 5 star resort but its perfect for a quick ski trip. It didn't feel dirty to me at all. They had free breakfast and coffee and tea you could get 24/7. Would definitely stay here again
The shower was only luke warm.
Central location for the village and ski area.
We stayed in 4 different hotels during our recent trip to the USA and this one was by far the worst value for money. Perhaps it is a Mammoth Lakes issue, but we had fantastic accommodation in San Francisco, Napa, and Winter Park Colorado all of which were much nicer and cost way less. The bored staff member on duty during our stay was unpleasant to other guests, and the dining area was ridiculously small, grubby and crowded. The breakfast was grim.
Location, rooms were large
Old, bathroom sick was clogged, hotel is old and run down.
The male owner was very rude and aggressive towards us and threatened to kick us out of the hotel and call the cops because we complained about the TV not working...
Rotten apples and stale rolls for breakfast. Fire alarm in middle of night because if bad plumbing. Dirty carpets in hall. No battery in smoke detector and was not replaced when requested. Big hole in garage parking area. Generally not maintained.
The bed was extremely uncomfortable. The TV made a very annoying buzzing noise, making it near impossible to watch anything. The room had a funky smell. Severely needs updating.
The upstairs rooms are decent and close to town
Whole hotel smells and receptionist is very unfriendly and unprofessional.
Cheapest price for last minute planning. But you get what you play for.
Smoke alarm went off at 2 am was false alarm. Asked for rollaway bed and they claimed they didn't have any but we believe they were short staff couldn't leave front desk alone. And we called to get coffee maker replaced because it didn't work - didn't get it until we left and they cleaned the room.
It did have a roof, and a balcony, and the location.
pretty much everything else...
room is small and dirty. bed is broken, no towel. one staff is handling the whole hotel. I'd not book another travelodge in the future
