Comfortable, cheap (for Mammoth), decent location (just off the main drag, half mile from The Village), friendly staff, TV.
Very slow/spotty wifi (though it's free), one of the staff members was slow and confused but probably new.
I liked that it wasn't cramped. Plenty of room for all your gear and still walk al around. Bathroom is big, too, but it's an older building and not fresh and new. Bed was super comfy, but the hoy water took forever to heat up. Once it did, we had it for a while. Breakfast is just bread products like toast and English muffins, cereal and muffins, plus apples, juice and coffee.
Good value and location.
The jacuzzi wasn't working. Totally unacceptable ever!! Its not like you didn't have all summer to fix it!?
Room was spacious. Microwave + Fridge were bonus.
No. of towels were too less.
Nice polite staff gracefully refunded my money when I refused to stay.
No electricity along one wall so no tv, lights worked there. One non functional tv another older non working tv crammed in. The carpet was wet due to melted ice in fridge due to no power. Lights in bathroom not working.
Good location in town.
Desperate need of updating, everything! Did not get room I reserved on Booking.com (King bed), was given 2 queen beds, but asked to use only one bed because other bed was broken. Not a big deal, my husband and I share a bed anyway, BUT, we found bedbugs in first room. Was moved to other end of hotel to new room (a King bed room...hmmm). After thoroughly checking room (bedbug free) and being warned to not place items on the floor, reluctantly stayed. (No choice, was late and could not find a vacancy at another hotel.) Could tell front office staff was embarrassed, but believe they were aware. Free coffee and cookies are not worth it. Would not recommend.
I liked the location and the price. Staff was nice.
The bathroom was dirty (hair on the walls and toilet). The bed was lopsided and had a large sag where you were to sleep. No extra electrical outlets to charge cell phone or other devices. Loud fire alarm warning tone continuously going off for the entire first night. No television in the common lounge area.
Staff was very friendly. Helpful.
Location, quietness, nice room.
The carpet was dirty, especially on the stairs - which were filthy. There were no luggage carts.
Nice folks at the counter. Everything worked, bed was swell.
Generally worn down. Found old toys and reading glasses by/near the bed. Coffee offered in the front was old and stale/burnt in the early mornings.
Location was great, staff were very friendly & helpful, giving us recommendations on restaurants, the best drives to see the lakes etc. Laundry facilities were a great help for us. Breakfast is included in the price, it's basic, but just what we needed.
From the moment we arrived the staff went out of their way to make us feel welcome. The location is excellent, the bed very comfortable & the room was spotless.
Carpets were dirty and room smelled so bad with cover-up deodorant that I had to sleep with the window open. Underground parking is very tight making it difficult to negotiate and very inconvenient with no elevator service in the building. Alternative on street parking is very limited. Not the fault of the hotel, but to top it off loud gunfire erupted nearby in the middle of the night made more alarming by my open window.
Everything is working. Outside the hotel looks old but inside the room is looks very good. Good location
Front desk staff were exceptional - had lots of good information about beautiful mammoth lakes. Room had a balcony.
The room really needed dusting, vacuuming.
The hotel is a great location. We were able to walk to restaurants. They were the only place available on short notice on the Booking site that would take my dog.
The hotel charged a nonrefundable $45 dollar fee for the dog which was not published in the Booking.com reservation information. This is a large enough fee to make me choose a more expensive hotel. In addition, the maintenance in the room was awful. The paint job in the bathroom was so sloppy that I couldn't believe it had been done by a professional. In addition, my son, who lives in Mammoth, reports that there are reports of bedbugs in the room we occupied. I now have a rash...I am very concerned.
Did not honor booking.com promotion price. I was charge regular price. The daytime personnel came in to work late. Breakfast wasn't available until almost an hour later than the announced time.
The young man at the front desk. Very nice and helpful..
Location was great.
The TV in our room was garbage. It screamed at us the whole time. Not a nice day to wind down. The fan in the bathroom was so loud I opted to take a bath with the flashlighton my phone. This hotel is in need of a few upgrades.
Convenient and priced right for a one night stopover.
It's not what I'd choose for a vacation.
This us an ideal location for walking trips
Staff were friendly and helpful
Hotel carpets were all filthy, bathroom fittings were tatty. Floor in room was lopsided (big structural problem) Room had no self catering facilities apart from fridge and microwave. How can you cook. Only good for popcorn, no other utilities. B'fast was fair but plastic cutlery and Styrofoam plates is just plain tacky. Wasn't good value for money, and we are from a 3rd world country!
The property is older and worn, but the new owners say they are investing the money to refurbish the property. The rooms have been repainted and that's a start. They are trying hard, and that's refreshing.
Very detailled advise where to go hiking and what to visit around. Very friendly people!
Hot tub out of service
Professionalism of staff, informing of bears at night so no food in cars. Coffee and cookies all day. Clean, near shops.
Air horn to scare off bears at night.
