Bed squeaky mattress topper to disguise poor quality.
Rose garden, bright lights in parking area, size of rooms
Ants, smell, breakfast was bare bones with plastic wrap "Danishes" and "Value Price Yoghurt"
Close to school Walking distance
My room smell smoke cigarette inside notice window is open some visitor smoked outside. I had sinus allergies.
affordable and walking distance to university.
The non-smoking rooms were completely saturated with cigarette smoke.
good location good service reasonable price
no toothpaste to use a little noise
Friendly staff and and great facility.
Area was a bit up and coming but you get what you pay for.
Close to where we needed to be.
Only one set of towels, batteries dead in remote, and when we turned back the bedding there was a black hair. The mgr came back quickly and changed the sheets, gave us another set of towels and new batteries. Breakfast was minimal. Cereal, juice and yogurt.
The pool wasn't open. It was mid-summer too. The staff was on the phone while helping us. The wifi had poor signal. The breakfast was at par. I had the displeasure to experience loud people very late at night.
Bad location Sketch people partying til late with loud music I didn't feel safe
Pool was covered and filthy. Manager said it was too much work. Bed not changed. Disgusting.
The other customers were not polite, the complimentary breakfast was a joke! The television didn't work, cleanliness of room was horrible. Definitely would Not stay there again.
Room was clean ,service is good like there was no micro and I wanted it for my baby food so I asked them n they right away provided me ..so I would say good for a night stay or stop by.
Typical good quality budget accommodation for a pit-stop between Sacramento and Seattle
Off the beaten track - very poor selection of eateries in the area, unless you want to drive. Badly sign-posted.
No drawers on the furniture. Peeling wallpaper, dirty floor, dirty bedding. Disgusting room.
Helpful with late check in and notified me when missing bag arrived many thanks
Shower area needs to be redone corrosion around door Grab handle should be in shower
Convenience of the location, otherwise nothing else.
Bed was horribly uncomfortable, noisy area, not clean
The room smelled musky when you walk in. Needs better AIR fresheners.
Size of room. Free breakfast. Local calls free. Good housekeeping, fresh towels.
It was difficult to enjoy it. I didn't realize it wasn't a good idea to have a drink on the patio bit outside my room. I was really on holiday, but was quite serious about looking at hop yards, as we have them in England. It was difficult to sit and write up my notes in the room. It didn't have a business feel, but surely business people stay in motels too. Was near the bus, and the owners were helpful about taxis.
It was an ok room for the night.
The manager just did the bare essentials not over friendly or helpful.
It is very average place and ok ok maintained If you want to visit to downtown or capital state building then its a good place Staff is friendly Wi-fi was super duper fast
No fridge, Microwave in Room Footsteps to 1st floor are very risky. Breakfast was terrible instead they should remove it. Location was little off road from highway
I retired from the salem area in 2002. I worked as a social worker at 1600 state street from 1978 until 1982, when our non profit consortium moved into the oak hills mall in west salem . I'm now 65 and in need of complex joint surgery on both hands. Lo and behold, 1600 state street is now a new orthopedic surgical center ! Even better, you guys are still right across the street. I retired in the Lapine area and have many dear friends in the salem area, consequently I have several caring homes for the short convalescence . I got a referral from my local doc. What better place to spend the evening and night than directly across the street . The current staff (polite, genuine and pleasant ) at your establishment are too young to have a conception of what that looked like in 1978. This was my first time in this part of salem in at least two decades . Then, the hotel was pristine and the neighborhood the beginning of middle class residential homes . Many of the parole and probation officers I worked with referred to those wonderful old homes north (behind your hotel) and east as both felony flats and vasoline ally (truly no offense intended) . A misnomer and very obviously finally apparent! The couple that owned the grocery on the corner of 15th started carrying the wonderful beer selection way back then. They sold the store and purchased the little general store in Camp Sherman . Enough, you get the idea . Thanks for sticking around and the pleasant environment . In the "check a box" part of your survey my checking "excellent" accepted that like me , you also have aged.
That we're both growing old and are starting to show it. Hang in there, the location is great . By the way, everyone talked about the donut shop was still there . Yes, however it is not the same donut shop. Sorry, it's the old fart in me.
The room had an odor when I first walked in and the beds we terrible old and uncomfortable. Coffee in the morning was not very good either. Overall I wish I'd have booked at a cleaner, nicer place
