I paid extra money to be able to check in early. When I arrived my room was not ready but they still charged me the full fee for the early check in time.
Price ok.and location
I ask for a fridge and a was not supply it
...our room was clean and well maintained. The room had a microwave, minifridge and 36' LCD tv. Also, the staff were very nice and accomodating.
The room was cool
Killin cock roaches from time to time
The bed was hard and had TWO flat pillows. I had to put my sweatshirt under the pillow. It was a cheap hotel but maybe we should have paid a little more and got something a lot better.
The location I needed
First of all I reserved 2 queen beds.I only got one bed and it was a double. The room smelled like stale cigarette smoke and it was supposed to be a no smoking room.Little flying insects flying out of the bathroom sink. Not happy at all!!!
The bed sounded like it was a plastic mattress, hard and uncomfortable. I service was not good, when I checked in the guy hardly said more than 3 words to me and the continental breakfast was a joke. I could have got a better meal at the quickie mart down the road. I will not stay there again, If there was a satr rating on here it would not get even a half.
Easy walking distance to Capitol, parks, dinner. Remodeled bathroom.
Thin pillows, traffic noise, train noise. Door slamming guests in adjacent rooms. An older property that has had some updates to bathroom, but needs electric updates. As with many properties of this era, best to bring your own extension cord to plug in your devices.
Walking distance to downtown, relatively inexpensive, old-school style of motel.
Rooms are beat. Air conditioner didn't work. Pool was a puddle of debris, which was too bad, because it was very hot, and we were really looking forward to cooling off in the advertised outdoor pool.
The hotel was in a very convenient location and was comfortable and clean. The staff was friendly and I felt safe.
The bed made an odd creaking sound when ever you turned over, which met you could wake yourself up just moving!
assistance from staff in getting next night accomodation in another city.
The location of this Travelodge was good for all the places we wished to visit.
The decor in the bedroom was dreary and the lighting very bad. The bathroom was better lit but the shower cubicle was again a bit dark. Wasn't impressed with the continental breakfast provided in the reception area, a yoghurt, a small cake plus orange juice and tea & coffee available. There was a distinct smell of curry in the reception area which wasn't at all appealing!
Room was good, clean, quiet, well equipped. Good location.
The receptionist freaked me out because my card didn't work on arrival! I thought I was going to be homeless! I knew there would be a problem because my bank made a mistake and blocked my card in the US even though I notified them. I also knew that the problem would be rectified the following day, & I explained this, but she made a fuss and called manager who let me stay after taking my passport. Not a nice experience as a solo traveller!
I stay there because it's handy to downtown Salem and less expensive than most other lodging in the area.
The facility overall is showing its age and the Wifi was undependable.
We found one of the best eats just around the corner. Word of Mouth, don't miss this gem for scrumptious breakfast and lunch. Once parked we prefer to walk so this was especially nice. Also found great food downtown only 5 min by car. Great location to explore Silver lakes park.
Unable to get Wi-Fi because of the room's location, but very quiet spacious room. The trade off for us was worth it.
I made the reservation for 3 adults 2 beds when I got there, they said the reservation was only made for 1 bed. They required me to pay an additional $19 Then when I went to get some food the next morning from the office. (They offer a free continental breakfast) They said everyone must come and get their food themselves. The kids were in their pajamas, I told them they were not dressed and they could look at my reservation and see that there were 3 of us. Not good at customer service.
Stain on sheets, sticking door knob, slow Wifi
the website offered a triple a discount yet when I arrived I was told because I booked through booking.com that I was not entitled to the triple a discount. The clerk ran my credit card and I wanted to pay cash , she did not even ask.
cost, but not worth it in the end
Shower didn't drain well, standing water Dirty bedding (we wound up running to wal-mart to buy sheets and a couple pillows) no batteries in safe a/c , heater control broken We will never stay here again.
This hotel is clean, peaceful and is a good option to the Phoenix Grand Hotel, also downtown, for those on a budget. You don't need a car for downtown stuff. I mainly stay there to visit my kid at Willamette.
The WI-fi does not work very well. Breakfast is TOO limited. No microwave or fridge.
Location, staff, the shower, tv, price
Terrible and I mean terrible customer service in every aspect.
Nothing, shower only with damaged shower door so leaks into bathroom door had light coming through, needs weather stripping, breakfast a joke coffee, packaged danish, no fruit , during the night domestic dispute across from us, management did nothing, we called police who got management to remove guests. this place is a disgrace to the Travelodge name, do they not inspect facilities carrying their brand??
Not a thing a disgraceful plave, book any where but here
The bed was a plastic hospital-like material. It wasn't good for sleeping.
No towels in room when I checked in. Had to check out early and front desk/office was closed. Signage regarding checking out before office was open was conflicting. One sign read to ring bell another said Do Not ring bell. I left key in my locked room and left.
