The bar at the hotel is used by many people, who are not staying at the hotel. This means, as a guest it is almost impossible to get a place to sit.
Stylish interiors and fantastic service made the TriBeCa Grand one of the best I've ever stayed in. TriBeCa is a great part of town too.
There was nothing I didn't like about the hotel.
Weekends could be too noisy
The staff were all excellent and very helpful Location was convenient for 9-11 museum etc A location to see less popular districts of NY
The lighting in restaurant and bedroom was poor and needs to be brighter Bit too far from Broadway and 5th Avenue shops
Great welcome and an early check in with no fuss. Brilliantly located in terms of subway. Don't stay here if you want to be in the heart of things...we loved it for its escape from the hustle. Quiet, out of the way but so easy to get to. Near China Town, Little Italy and some other great restaurants/diners for dinner and breakfast. Very comfortable beds and free wifi.
18% tip added without asking. A bit like a resort, even if you get your own drinks from the bar! The place could do with some better lighting, it's very dark and gloomy which doesn't give the best impression. Wouldn't stop me staying again.
We found your staff incredible: very accessible, adaptable, innovative and involved. It was a joy to stay there.
We had a fabulous time once again at the SoHo Grand. We love the contemporary design of the room & bathroom. Very comfy bed. The staff from the front desk to the bar and restaurant were very professional, helpful and pleasant. The food was excellent; had breakfast and delicious burger! We expect to stay there while in NYC.
Can't think of a thing.
bed, cuisine, staff, location
ilumination, strong smell of humidity in the room
The hotel is very inviting and bar and lounge definitely worth hanging out to enjoy some early drinks. Great decor! Though the rooms are not very big, (stayed in a superior king) you don't feel confined, great windows and good size bathroom for NYC standards.
The only downsize was the noise coming from a party they were hosting. We stayed on the 7thfloor, (hotel has 8 floors) and we could hear the music playing by the DJ in the basement. We just had an early night and didn't feel like joining the party, ended up staying up until DJ stopped playing.
Great views from bedroom. Hotel structure was very interesting and there was a lovely bar downstairs. Hotel staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Fantastic location
Soft furnishings a little shabby. Bathroom in the room was very basic. Lighting in the room was very dark. For the money I expected much more.
The location was great and the central socialising area was lovely - if a little noisy at times !!
family rooms could be a little bigger with the option of two singles and a double.
Rooms too dark.
GREAT HOTEL IN A GREAT AREA
ROOM TOO DARK, MORE LIGHTING NEEDED
location and friendly staff
Two cups of tea and a banana costing $21.00.which I took to the room myself. ie no tea making facilities in the room
A hip and trendy hotel with great art works all around. A real feast on the eyes from the moment you walk into the lobby and the room itself doesn't disappoint! Lots of great independent shops and restaurants around the hotel and walk to underground is very convenient.
I would have loved to have a kettle in the room for making a cup of tea but that's me!
Perfect location, close to Soho art galleries and shopping. Excellent staff and pool for our children.
The space was VERY limited in our room because of the extra double bed in our room. But OK, since we did not spend that much time IN our room anyway.
Incredibly comfortable room - good service - exceptional vibe.
New York City is crazy expensive. This hotel would be half the price in most other cities.
The staff that greeted us was very friendly and helpful. The bed linens were very nice and clean. Room service was excellent- probably the best hamburger I've ever had.
It was a little loud at night.
good value for manhattan
Liked location and staff very friendly
the location.....walking distance to SOHO and china town - - $10 taxi to battery park - $15 taxi to times square - the concierge is the best concierge in NYC - All staff is extra friendly
Very small room - no coffee machine
I liked the restaurant and the staff, good organic food and excellent service. Front desk and front door staff were very helpful and provided directions and support.
For the first 2 days a window was slightly open and street noises were very noisy. Engineers fixed the window and all was well. The room was small and for the two of us, we used all the counter space, desk and chairs to place our luggage.
Very trendy place, good size rooms and good quality restaurant and bar. Very friendly and helpful staff. Wireless connection without any problems. Convenient location next to Canal street subway station.
A bit on the pricey side. Bar can get noisy on weekend nights. Bathroom tiles may need renovation soon. Fitness room is reasonably equipped, but not extremely inviting.
