The place is under construction wish someone told me! Elevators sometimes work. "Room w/ city view" = view of apartment and Subway sandwich shop across the street.
Beautiful hotel and loved the location!
Expensive breakfast. Loud music downstairs that you can hear in the room.
Spacious rooms. The lobby and the eating area, it's beautiful! Big windows in the room. Friendly staff
We specifically requested a quiet room. But somehow we ended up getting a room with an adjoining door next to a group of 20-year-old party kids. There was ZERO sound insulation between our rooms, and we could hear every word of their conversations. The partying went on until 6am, and I asked for security to be sent up on 3 separate occasions. If you're looking for a good night's sleep, look elsewhere.
While we were staying the lobby area was under construction, so the entrance was not very Grand. We were on the 8th/top floor and it took several minutes to get hot water to run through in the morning.
The staff were very friendly in this beautiful hotel, the bed was super comfy.
Over priced for the type of hotel
I arrived at the hotel after midnight (after informing the hotel it would be a late check in) and was told they didn't have any rooms and was put in a cab and sent to a sister property, The Soho Grand. No one attempted to contact me beforehand of the change and the staff even claimed they didn't have my contact information when it was clearly included in my reservation. I requested a quiet room and was put in a room directly above their very loud bar. Staff made no attempts to move me or make the situation right - the best they offered was to send up ear plugs. Staff were apologetic but not responsive to needs or requests of guests. I would not recommend either property.
Both elevators were not working, we ha to use the service elevator. One nite was going to take a shower, the water did not get warm. I made a complain, but nothing happened.
Under renovation and they do not let you know. Elevators were iffy all weekend and for a couple of hours both were broken. The music on Saturday night went on til 2:00 AM and could be heard in our room on the 6th floor. How water did not work in shower one night.
Only one elevator working
My "city view" room was really just a view of the building across the street & on a very low floor so that's all you saw. A bit of misleading advertising. The heat/air-con unit was very loud (rackety) when it turned on or off during the night.
Doormen & front desk staff were wonderful, friendly, proactive & helpful. Rooms were comfortable & bar/restaurant were lively & fun.
Staff is super rude - apparently if you book through a third party you are less valuable than someone who books direct. Staff could not find my Booking.com reservation upon checking in. Lock on original room I was assigned was broken (#521). Lamp broken. Tv did not work properly. Assigned a different room and was given a drink ticket for my trouble (I don't drink).
It is next door to 32 Avenue of the Americas.
Size of rooms: small.
No bad experience-hotel was quite dark!
Location, Decor BED! Shower. Had some goods shipped pre arrival and the hotel was great at receiving them and transferring them to our room. It was also a birthday celebration and we received a complimentary bottle of champagne
Some aspects of the room could use updating, but very clean and comfortable.
Excellent service, unique property that feels boutique and hip yet comfortable. Rooms are larger than you would expect for NYC and Tribeca is filled with amazing restaurants and shopping.
For us perfect location, very friendly and helpful staff, very clean
The tub was too small.
I loved the location. The staff was excellent! My room was clean. The bed was super cozy. and the lobby and bar area were very nice.

The 1st night was bad. Bad bedroom, noisy, small. Tiny bathroom. We asked to move. The next 2 nights were excellent.
The brunch each day was excellent. The lounge excellent and the room service breakfasts excellent.
On a Saturday night you will hear music until 4:00 AM a.m.if you don't like noise while trying to sleep try and get a room on a higher floor. We were on the 2 nd floor.
We were celebrating our anniversary and the person at the front desk made sure we had champagne and snacks sent to the wrong complements of the hotel
I am being VERY picky here, but the shower is due for an update, and I would have appreciated tea and coffee making facilities.
The staff were polite, friendly and helpful and went out of their way to ensure we had everything we needed. The bed was incredibly comfortable and the room was spotless. The restaurant downstairs served very tasty food and the live music provided a warm atmosphere. The location of the hotel is close enough to all the main sights, restaurants and shops, yet far enough to ensure a good night's sleep!
There were Mosquitos in the room which bit my child. I saw the Mosquitos with my own eyes so I know it was that. All the kids in our group got bitten.
Ambiance, location, people
There were no tea and coffee making facilities
Hotel felt intimate, the staff were efficient and friendly and the metro was just round the corner!! The beds were very comfortable I would recommend this hotel!!
