The check in lady who wanted to argue that I hadn't booked a king sized bed. I had.
The maid who went out of her way to show me where my room was. The doorman who gave me directions.

Just happened to be waken up by the Five Borough Race right outside my window at 6:30 am. And I could hear the conversation next door clearly through the adjoining doors.
I like the decor, the friendly staff and the jazz ambience.

The place was amazing built in a beautiful way and I loved the dark wood and furniture used .. The bed was extremely comfortable and bathroom was clean

Extremely comfortable bed and pillows, excellent location within five minute walk to a subway; friendly, helpful staff, hip upscale lobby/bar.

Room a bit worn out and either too many pieces of furniture or small. Needed to wait for more than 10 minutes with the shower running to get some decent hot water. Quite expensive.
very good location and great staff.

The repairs at the entrance still unfinished though do not bother much. And a bit noisy with live music at the atrium when you are trying to sleep in your room.
Comfortable room, good bed, nice luve musuc and active common places with rxcellent food.

The place is under construction wish someone told me! Elevators sometimes work. "Room w/ city view" = view of apartment and Subway sandwich shop across the street.
Beautiful hotel and loved the location!

Expensive breakfast. Loud music downstairs that you can hear in the room.
Spacious rooms. The lobby and the eating area, it's beautiful! Big windows in the room. Friendly staff

We specifically requested a quiet room. But somehow we ended up getting a room with an adjoining door next to a group of 20-year-old party kids. There was ZERO sound insulation between our rooms, and we could hear every word of their conversations. The partying went on until 6am, and I asked for security to be sent up on 3 separate occasions. If you're looking for a good night's sleep, look elsewhere.

While we were staying the lobby area was under construction, so the entrance was not very Grand. We were on the 8th/top floor and it took several minutes to get hot water to run through in the morning.
The staff were very friendly in this beautiful hotel, the bed was super comfy.

Over priced for the type of hotel

I arrived at the hotel after midnight (after informing the hotel it would be a late check in) and was told they didn't have any rooms and was put in a cab and sent to a sister property, The Soho Grand. No one attempted to contact me beforehand of the change and the staff even claimed they didn't have my contact information when it was clearly included in my reservation. I requested a quiet room and was put in a room directly above their very loud bar. Staff made no attempts to move me or make the situation right - the best they offered was to send up ear plugs. Staff were apologetic but not responsive to needs or requests of guests. I would not recommend either property.

Both elevators were not working, we ha to use the service elevator. One nite was going to take a shower, the water did not get warm. I made a complain, but nothing happened.

Under renovation and they do not let you know. Elevators were iffy all weekend and for a couple of hours both were broken. The music on Saturday night went on til 2:00 AM and could be heard in our room on the 6th floor. How water did not work in shower one night.

Only one elevator working
March 22, 2015
My "city view" room was really just a view of the building across the street & on a very low floor so that's all you saw. A bit of misleading advertising. The heat/air-con unit was very loud (rackety) when it turned on or off during the night.
Doormen & front desk staff were wonderful, friendly, proactive & helpful. Rooms were comfortable & bar/restaurant were lively & fun.

Staff is super rude - apparently if you book through a third party you are less valuable than someone who books direct. Staff could not find my Booking.com reservation upon checking in. Lock on original room I was assigned was broken (#521). Lamp broken. Tv did not work properly. Assigned a different room and was given a drink ticket for my trouble (I don't drink).
It is next door to 32 Avenue of the Americas.

No bad experience-hotel was quite dark!
Location, Decor BED! Shower. Had some goods shipped pre arrival and the hotel was great at receiving them and transferring them to our room. It was also a birthday celebration and we received a complimentary bottle of champagne

Some aspects of the room could use updating, but very clean and comfortable.
Excellent service, unique property that feels boutique and hip yet comfortable. Rooms are larger than you would expect for NYC and Tribeca is filled with amazing restaurants and shopping.
