Good location, helpful and friendly staff, clean and comfortable... couldn't ask for more. Good price for a hotel in ST too!
Room was a little snug I guess.
Staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Good location if you can't afford Fisherman's Wharf or don't want to stay there. Clean.
Bottles emptied by bar next door at 1am me can't we had to sleep with earplugs in. Rooms could do with being updated.
The hotel is in an excellent location, close to China Town and Union Square. Fisherman's Wharf is within walking distance (40 mins) or can be reached by cable car. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Coffee/Tea is available in the lobby every morning. Good internet connection.
The view out of the window was of a wall and you could also see windows to other rooms which meant you had to keep the blinds down all day.
Front desk couldn't be more helpful . Vibe of whole place was positive and welcoming
Bit of outside noise but that's the location !
pretty hotel friendly reception good café next door good location
Location was excellent, right at the entrance to Chinatown and less than a two mile walk to Fishermans Wharf. Starbucks and a small market right across the street and only a couple of blocks from a trolley stop. Staff was beyond friendly, helped us with every question and request we had. The decor was funky and fun but comfortable. No central air but the window unit was more than enough for us.
My only negative was the lack of natural light in the room. The room just had a tiny window when it could have leveraged the entire wall looking out over the Chinese Gate.
Staff goes out of their way to help, solve problems and arrange details. Very clean. Fun location (can be noisy).
Very small room, no light in closet, window air-conditioner (although that helped screen out street noise)
Great location Free wine hour Helpful staff Very clean Quirky design
Expensive Valet Rooms a little on the small side Noise from the street
Price to park
Staff were great and the location of the Hotel was excellent. It was slightly quirky in decor bit I liked it a lot and would both go back and recommend to others - no problem.
There was no plug in the bath and the TV was a bit tempermental.
Very fun decor. Laid back, friendly, hip.
City comes to pick up trash in the alleyway at 3am! This isn't the hotel's fault, but it was only negative to my stay.
I love the personality of the hotel and the wine session in the afternoon is great. The roomswere also quite spacious for San Fransisco
I just didn't get much sleep! The air conditioning unit in the window meant I could hear every sounds from the very noisy lane right out of my window.
Fantastic location, friendly staff, great bed & big room.
Too long since last renovation & noisiest air on in the world.
Good wifi / friendly helpful staff / good location / free wine in the evening / good fridge after replacing original one / daily paper
Can't think of any
in the center of the city.
noisy, very noisy especially in night. no breakfast.
Friendly, helpful staff, room decor, nice towels, location, Kerouac and Ginsberg instead of Gideon Bible, wine tasting
I was a solo traveler but space for clothing storage would have been inadequate for even 2 in a double-double room. Toilet tissue un-flushed in toilet and no bath at when I arrived. No bath mat one other day so I had to use a second bath towel - a waste.
We liked the room, service, cleanliness, free happy hour, and the friendlyness of the staff.
Close to Union Square/Chinatown/cable cars
Courtesy and willingness to help of all staff. Very positive
We picked this spot for our honeymoon road trip stop in San Francisco and had an excellent time! They were kind enough to offer us a complimentary upgrade to a King Suite overlooking Chinatown and provided a bottle of champagne and congratulatory card to commemorate the occasion. The decor is unusual and fabulous yet comfortable... we were treated very well and will definitely be back!
Parking is impossible. Only valet parking is offered and it is insanely expensive - however, to be fair, this is more of San Francisco's problem than Hotel Triton.
Location very near everything.
They charged me 7 nights price from my credit card , they also took +$600 as a security deposit & they keep charging my credit card for every service I request such as ( room service, laundry , .. etc) .. they do a lot of transactions ! + some of the stuff are not polite with the guests .. I called the manager and complained about one of their staff then he apologized. + noise coming from the window of the room .. you feel like the street is 1 meter away from your room! even if the air condition is turned on... I had a training course in this hotel otherwise I won't stay there. I found a lot of good hotels near that provide better service with less money. I really expected more from four stars hotel .. It was my first visit to San Francisco and will have another visit very soon and wont stay in this hotel again.
The Front desk immediately honored our request to move to another room. It's an older building with smaller rooms, but the bathroom was equipped comfortably with modern fixtures. We love it's downtown location and easy access to BART and Muni.
