Free wine hour!
Strange smell in the rooms, but everything else were just perfect
Never received a wake up call I had requested
Most of the staff was courteous and responsive especially one little oriental lady. But one guy refused to give me change for the parking meeter.
The room had a very small side window, attic-like. Zero sunlight during the day. I stayed at Kimpton hotels frequently and usually they are fine, but this one was a disaster.
Location is good for a business trip or shopping. Design is funny, I liked it.
Very noisy room next to alley garbage trucks each morning.
Nice central location. Clean hotel.
Double rooms have little free space, they're mostly occupied with the beds
The staff was incredibly friendly & helpful, and the location is simply phenomenal
Dirty sheets and pillow.
The staff were absolutely amazing, kind and always helpful. They are reason enough to go to San Francisco!
location location location and of course Wine hour at 5pm :)
Convenient location next to China Town, great French restaurants. Beds are very comfortable and never heard any noise like you normally would in downtown SF.
The room was extremely dusty especially the shelves on the unit where the sink was and the desk and phone.
I liked how friendly the staff were. No matter what we were looking for fromn live music to restaurants etc. they were always there to help. I also loved the wine reception in the evening as we got to chat to lots of other guests.
Room smelled Small room
I was going to stay here and once I got into the room we quickly changed our mind. Definitely you get what you pay for but I found a better hotel for only 150 more than this hotel (overall total) The room was very small, smelled musty and not what I was expecting for a Kiptom hotel. Staff was very nice and canceled the entire reservation and off we went. A+++ ok customer service!
The staff went out if their way to be helpful and were extremely friendly. We arrived late in the evening and were still given a complimentary glass of wine. We stayed in a queen room which was brilliant with enough space for two to be comfortable. Their checkout is also at 12pm which is very generous compared to other hotels. San Francisco is highly dependant on the location of your hotel and this location is perfect! Right by Union Square which was perfect for first time visitors to the city. What a great experience!
Parking was kind of ridiculous. I recommend using the hotel's valet service.
A lot to do within walking distance, even with a 6 month old!
Very tiny bathroom. We had a room with a queen bed--not much room to move around.
Very well located. Our room was very quiet.
Nothing. One thing to set expectations, is that this is a city hotel & as such, rooms are small.
Great location, amazing staff. Seriously- never met such pleasant & welcoming hotel staff, that are ready and willing to help you. The did above & beyond to accommodate us.
Great decorations with cute details, daily free coffee, tea & wine tasting, and friendly staff. Highly recommended!
Really lousy wifi. It's 2014 after all. Windows are not isolated for sound so make sure you bring ear plugs. Aircon also sounds like jetplane taking off.
Very nice and hard working staff. The complimentary wine at 5 o'clock is also a nice touch. Also liked the personal style of the hotel.
The excellent staff and the details in the decoration.
super staff super room free wine free coffee what else do you want :)
smelly room; I read about the garbage disposal in reviews but totally underestimated the loud noise coming from the street in the morning
anything filthy carpet non accommadating manager tiny room with not enough space for my suitcase to open dreadful noise all night no curtains no window to open too hot at night with ac too noisy to have on
A little noisy at night when airconditioning working and some traffic noise.
Found the staff friendly and helpful. Received anniversary gift - great. Room was a good size.
Very disappointed in the size of the room after the many hotels we had stayed at previous to arriving in San Francisco. It was more like a European hotel. The lobby is small especially as it is used as a reception room for wine tasting and can be noisy. No coffee machine in the room. For the price of the room, didn't expect I would have these "complaints". Our view was a BRICK WALL and other guest room windows. No, it is not value for the money.
Staff was courteous and friendly. The location is amazing!
room bit cramped.
wine tasting and coffee for brekfast was nice touch
