very friendly comfortable accommodating great location safe
nice pool after day out
the staff was very friendly and it was really close to the beach.check in and check out was really quick and trouble-free.parking was very convenient
there were no wash cloths, the microwave had a short in it and there were lots of tiny bugs in the pantry area. We didn't bother to complain because we were only there one night and everything else was fantastic
wanted a 250$ deposit on a 70$ room! refundable in 10 to 14 days! :(
room was glean and good sizefd
the shower faucets work, but are in bad shape.
The room was decent & the pool & proximity to the beach was great! A bit of a walk to the restaurants, but they have one close by for breakfast & lunch that was good. The people who worked there were very nice & helpful.
The rooms at least on the ground floor where we were only looked onto the hallway. So all night long & early in the morning we could hear people walking by & talking. The cleaning ladies were out there very loud in the morning. I think an upper floor might have not been so bad for the noise though; we were just put by the entryway
Staff was friendly & helpful. Easy walk to the boardwalk and local parks and things to do. Easy drive to downtown. Kitchenette was awesome with a grocery store a few miles away we did smaller meals in.
Noisy at 7 am with nearby construction. Wifi was sometimes hit or miss.
Friendly staff .. Close to beach and mall .
Big group partying at pool and although there was a problem number to call , no phone in room . Had to use cell (long distance call) just to get an answering machine . There was a security gate but half of it wasn't there . So no security .
I liked the bed and the porch.
I did not like that the pictures indicate a resort like environment. There was a lot of Palm..everywhere anyways. The deck porch did not lock, there was a single plug for the lamps. The coffee pot lid was broke and the plug for it out of reach to plug in. I expected a better room for what I paid for. I had to wait for the front desk guy about 20 minutes after he said he'd be there in a minute. I got there late so did not expect any thing open to eat..but there was nothing but more in walking distance for choices if I were to stay longer
quaint and beautiful. the front office guy (im horrible with names) he if from cuba and he was very kind and funny. i would definitely stay here again if i was visiting fort lauderdale.
Having to put down a $250 damage deposit.
This hotel was situated ideally for the beach and the staff were very helpful in the little time I spent at the hotel.
An unfortunate occurrence had happened in the room next door, a window had been broken and it was decided that it should be changed in the morning. Admittedly I had not got in until the early hours. It would have been nice to have been warned about it, or waited until I had vacated my room. Unfortunate as I know this sort of thing doesn't happen every day, it would have been nice to have had an apology. This still would not put me off staying here again.
The Tropirock resort was a great place to stay during our recent visit to Fort Lauderdale. Michael and the rest of the hotel staff were very welcoming and helpful. They made sure we were having a good time and made excellent dining recommendations. The hotel itself is not fancy or new--but that's not an issue. It is clean, beds are comfortable, the pool is there for a refreshing swim, and the rates are very reasonable compared to other national chain hotels on the beach. The hotel is a 1 1/2 block walk to the beach and is not on Fort Lauderdale Beach Boulevard--which makes for a much quieter stay, especially at night. The walk to the beach is very short. If you want a fancy hotel on the beach with shiny new accommodations and rates in the $200-$300 range, by all means book there. But if you want a hotel with charm and character--and a great rate--stay at Tropirock!
Excellent location and value. Older motel but well kept and appointed. Had a great stay and would definitely stay again. Very nice staff. Everything near by.
Bathroom could be bigger but I understand because of age of building. I would like a breakfast option.
Quiet neighborhood, 1 block from beautiful beach. Walking distance to plenty of restaurants and shops. Michael at the front desk was exceptionally friendly and helpful. Room was very clean and large. Lovely pool and patio area. The price was great. This is an older property that has been freshly painted. Not at all modern but for the price and location it was an exceptional deal.
Beds were hard. The window AC unit was noisy and had an odd smell up close. Note we did not complain to management since it was a short 2 night stay. Perhaps they could have offered another room had we told them. I would definitely stay here again.
The friendliness of the staff.
There were no problems
It was clean, comfortable, updated, great location and beautiful scenery. Staff was WONDERFUL!
There was an infestation of ants in the bathroom!
Swimmingpool, huge and comfortable beds, strong wifi, nice location.
Deposit for 1 night higher than the cost of my stay.
Tropi Rock hotel is close to the beach, restaurants and shops in Ft Lauderdale with friendly staff ready to help you. Parking facilities, nice garden, relaxed athmosphere. I recommend for pleasure or business stay. You get more than the value of the stay!
The hotel is renovating some rooms and there may be some work in progress but it does not affect much.
Room size queen beds kitchen house keeping location: close, but far away enough from the beach.
Nosie in the morning out side the back window. Ice Machine down in the basement and not on same ground floor level.
Great value and location
"Family renunions" were happening at the pool but luckily beach was close!
good location, nice staff, clean room
Location. Friendly. Quiet.
Partying of other users late into night.
I loved the staff, they were so nice, specially Miss Denise , the attendant was so nice with me, and assisted me with my needs. Congratulations Ms Denise. I want to tanks to the Winderset Hotel male attendant, he was so attention too. Both of you, congratulations. Marcos from Brazil.
I guess the need to put a phone on a room, but it not a point to make i don't like it. , and the other thing is to prohibitted person at pool after midnight... I had to ask them to talk lower because i want to sleep.
The noise! Really noisy in the morning, especially because of the cleaning staff. Really thin Walls so you can hear your neighbour.
