Tropic Cay Beach Hotel  

very unfriendly and unhelpful staff, room cleaned at 4.00pm, given wrong room, lights in room not working, air conditioner impossible to use because of noise, room desperately needing painted and renovated

Very dirty, extremely noisy. I had originally booked the hotel for 3 days and ended up staying for less than a day due to loud music all night long.

The gentlemen at the front desk were very polite. When we checked in and when we checked out.

The place is falling apart. Everything is dirty, the stairs were totally disgusting, like they had never been cleaned. In front of our room #312, there was some type of fridge that is rusted and the area is disgusting. The room was really dirty. I had to clean everything with clorox wipies before we touched anything. The handle on the fridge was gross. The knob on the front door had something stickly on it. Even the lamps were full of dust, I had to wipe that also. I am a local, so we do weekends at the beach all the time, and try different hotels. I will never stay there again. I will never let any of my friends that come to visit from up north stay there.

Perfect if your priority is price with a decent location (right off the beach), and you [1] can tolerate less-than-ideal service, and [2] don't mind walking or bussing a bit to the "hot spots". The onsite bar offered pretty cheap drinks and relatively good service; nice people.

I would not recommend staying here [1] unless you are really on a budget (we were) or unless [2] being close to the beach is of utmost importance to you, and you don't want to spend the money that most hotels will require for this. Details: I ordered an efficiency room, and upon arriving, was told it was "not available". This was never rectified. I also was left with the impression that the stay was charged to my credit card online, and found upon arriving that I had only been charged a security deposit, forcing me to go through a good bit of extra trouble to get the original card I used faxed from home, so they could go through with the actual room charge. The original room I stayed in was poor. Neither the TV nor the microwave worked, and bugs kept making their way into the bathroom from outside. After a complaint, I moved to another room, which was much better. Still, the microwave was poor and the shower leaked water significantly. The rooms were both skimpy on trash recepticles- one had a very small one, the other, none at all. The location might be a bit decieving. It is quite nice in regards to being right off the beach, and there are a decent bit of resturaunts and the like, but you'll have to walk or bus a decent bit if you are looking to get to any of the real "hot spots".

location on beach at a good price was reason for staying.

pool not being heated and parking. big problem need a coffee pot at least in lobby. vending machine does not do it.

This hotel is absolutley disgusting

El precio y la cercanía a la playa.

El ruido en la noche a veces es muy insoportable ya que en el primer piso existe un bar donde hay música casi todas las noches a veces hasta altas horas. Es pensado para gente que busca diversión de ese tipo.

Nos gusto mucho la ubicacion al frente de la playa, un lugar muy tranquilo, buena atencion y buen precio muy accesible para el presupuesto, muchas gracias por su atencion, esperamos volver en las proximas vacaciones y recomendarlo a nuestros conocidos, amigos y familiares

Pues todo estuvo bien, aunque el hotel es un poco viejito, deberian mejorar las instalaciones

Rien, à part sa situation géographique.

La propreté des lieux, air climatisé qui fait un bruit épouvantable, endroit très vieux et sale (draps tachés et très minces, cuisinette, vaisselle et mobilié autant intérieur qu'extérieur) aucune isolation et le samedi soir il y a eu de la musique très forte et des gens au bar jusqu'à 3h00 du matin, le bar se situe dans la cours de l'hotel très près de la chambre, donc impossiblilité de dormir avec tout ce bruit, même l'air climatisé n'y arrivait pas !! Aucun endroit pour laisser nos bagages ( nous sommes arrivés a midi et la chambre non disponible avant 15h00. Très décevant, en tout cas ça redonne le gout de revenir à la maison.

O cheiro de cigarro dos quartos, o bar da piscina que fica em frente aos quartos, que a noite fica com música e bem barulhento, o hotel não possui elevador o que ficou inviável estando com bagagens, ar condicionado do quarto extremamente barulhento. Péssimo

Nous avons apprécié que le personnel nous ait donné une autre chambre étant donné qu'il y avait beaucoup de fourmis sur la vanité autour du lavabo dans la salle de bain.

La propreté de la première chambre laissait vraiment à désirer. La deuxième était un peu mieux. Nous ne retournerons pas dans cet hôtel.

Sincèrement, L'emplacement est génial mais c'est tout. Pour le reste, le réel diffère beaucoup de ce que l'on voit sur internet. i.e. Le look et la propreté des chambres

Sincèrement, L'hotel aurait tout à gagner à ne pas opérer un bar à même l'hotel. Le bruit est infernal et ce, jusqu'au petite heure du matin. Pour une vacance familiale, ce fût un désastre. Je ne recommanderai jamais cette hotel à moins qu'il ne détruise le bar. Si cette hotel continue dans cette voie, elle est destiné à fermer. Bonne journée, Vacanciers déçus.

A pesar de los comentarios emitidos por otros clientes, la atencion por parte del personal fue muy buena, si bien habia ruido por la noche debido a la cercania del bar, no era como para no poder descansar. La ubicacion del hotel es privilegiada.

El hotel requiere de mejor mantenimiento ya que esta muy bien ubicado y podria ser mas comodo, pienso que es en ese aspecto donde no concuerda la relacion calidad/precio.
