Always a great stay! Super Comfortable beds! Great sheets and pillows! Everything!!!!
What I didn't like was the way my credit card was charged before I checked out and before I had a chance to review the bill for any mistakes and there were several. Booking. Com also billed me through the soho trump before I was told. I was under the impression that the credit card was only for a guarantee of the booking. This unusual pattern of billing was ist upsetting and would influence me from using booking.com again. I hope I get some feedback on this if you have the intestinal fortitude
The hotel is close to home, and perfect for a quick getaway.
The cleanliness, the Concierge, the complimentary water.
When we first arrived via taxi from JFK airport, it was raining - no help with our luggage inside even though there were 3 male staff out the front. As we approached the receptionist at the front desk, we recieved attitude & a patronising response when questioned how many devices were allowed to access the wifi which was NOT included in the accomodation fee. We realised that our appearance was not very fresh but my sister & I had just come off a plane, rode 50min in a dirty taxi, got caught in the rain & we were very tired. Regardless, we were still paying $400+ USA a night so you can imagine why we were extremely disappointed with the receptionist's introduction. Such a shame considering it was Christmas too.
Ordered room service one night and the food was TERRIBLE! The sandwich was burnt and the coffee was cold. They also got our order wrong and charged us incorrectly. The bill was $114 and I could have eaten at mc donalds and been more satisfied.
beautiful hotel staff were amazing view from room amazing facilities amazing very good hotel
wi-fi is not free location is a little south for tourists BUT very good if you like to see real manhattan i.e. restaurants and shops outside of tourists areas. spa was very expensive but good
We were given a larger room as we were staying four days. It was extremely comfortable. Staff were very friendly and helpful.
Trendy & classy meet at Sping & Varick
Comfort of bed and bedroom Location for downtown and subways access
Breakfast -poor room service where had to send back order 3 times one morning), and selection at the restaurant limited and not geared to healthy needs! Tea making facilities poor, poor selection of tea bags which looked old and not refreshed during 4 day stay. No kettle!
Bed, View, friendliness of staff
lack of storage in the room; no full length mirror, lack of open bar facilities in hotel; where the TV was positioned meant it was completely impractible to watch (unless you sat on edge of bed); having to pay for Wi-Fi is outrageous (why is it that I can sit in a coffee shop and get free Wi-Fi but cant in a $500/night room?
Bathroom with view over downtown from bath tub.
Rooms do appear to be on the verge of a renovation and look a little tired. Compared to 5 star hotels I have stayed in, this certainly lacked the wow factor on arrival. I chose Trump over the W Hotel based on a recommendation, but not quite 5 star in comparison to other top hotels in New York. Paying over $500 + taxes per night for a Deluxe Room, I felt it was costly for what we received, which is not a negative, but a fact when compared to other 5 star hotels.
I love the shower and the location I just feel as if u pay all this money for your stay and you can't even get free wifi..
Not havihavinge WiFi nor free breakfast or what not.
Location was excellent. Room with a view was fantastic.
Very expensive. Problems with room that you wouldn't expect when paying that much money. ie no remote control for TV for 2 days, bathroom light wouldn't turn off- open plan room.
The views are amazing from the hotel. You will see alot of the cities main landmarks from the hotel.
It is in lower Manhatten, practically street 0, it takes time to reach 34th-50th street the tube is required to get there.
Almost everything !!!
Wifi should be free . Radio in the room wasnt working, called about it but no one came to fix or replace it, till I gave up waiting & cancelled.
Location is great, can easily walk everywhere, food is good, staff is very welcoming and helpful, rooms are kind of small but comfy, matrass is exellent, great water pressure in the shower, we had a great view from the 39th floor !
A lot of noise coming in from outside (cars-construction), construction noise starts heavily at 5 AM, end of next year it'll be quieter again !
The staff were fantastic, particularly the friendly doormen. The view from the room was superb overlooking the Freedom Tower and Downtown and from the bath the Empire State-pretty cool. Definitely recommend and it is in a great location.
The things I would fault is having to pay for the wifi and the cost of items in the minibar.
friendly helpful staff, superb room
gym was poorly equipped, nice aesthetics but not much to offer. There are great gyms close by,
The service, the people, the vibe, the l0cation, room service
Some members of the staff Wardrobes
Great neighborhood on the west side. Close to subway, restaurants.
There was nothing not to like!
The only issue I had was an extra room charge of $37 per night on my bill. Still don't know what it was for. It won't break the bank, but jut to be aware of it. Staff and hotel was super. Excellent hotel.
Tolerance for a 3 year old in the lobby at night, as she sang and danced at a substantial volume, and with great aplomb. Thank you, Front Desk! Also, my online request for two down or feather pillows, was satisfied. Gracias.
Leaving so soon.
