The place are stinks !!!
- location was surprisingly quiet - WiFi was never a problem - Staff was pleasant - place was clean and no roaches or bedbugs - free coffee at cafe across the street
- view from the room was very limited
The early check in after the long flight was great. Walking distance from public transport. The room was perfecr for our family.
My girlfriend stayed here after the Le Bon hotel left her stranded citing they could not accept my debit/credit card. My friend told me the family who runs it were very kind and accommodating:) its located very close to everything ( Chinese theater, Hollywood and Highland and all its shops) & the rooms were clean and cozy! Should have booked here first before experiencing that bull at the Le Bon! The Trylon is the way to go for affordable, comfortable, and centrally located lodging! !
Everything was great!
Nice staff, always friendly. Close to central of Hollywood, friendly neighbourhood. Clean. CSV store 24hr a couple of minutes walk. Refridgerator, coffemachine, iron. Booked for three nights initially, stayed 13 nights totally. Good value for money.
I got a deluxe room, which was big and comfortable and came with facilities such as the bathroom, hairdryer and fridge/microwave. Only 10 minutes away by walk from the walk of fame, 5 minutes from a cafe and convenience store. Staff helpful and friendly.
Location was perfect. Near hollywood walk of fame and Metro and bus lines. Also near good cafes for breakfast and lunch (Chihaunga cafe and Rise and Grind - both good). Also convenience stores nearby for groceries if necessary. Friendly and helpful staff. I have been twice and would return.
The staff were friendly. Close to Hollywood.
Room has strong smell like curry and so was the soap, I think it's because the staff were Indian. I bought another soap from supermarket. The room looked shabby. Don't even have a table. The coffee maker was dirty. I normally make hot water with coffee maker when I'm outside, but I didn't since it looks so dirty. The fridge was dirty too. The air conditioner was very close to bed, which made me uncomfortable and dried out during sleep.
Perfect location, good price
Additional price for parking which is not at front of the door
Owner of the hotel was very nice to all guests. Felt like staying at home. Convenient to all near by attractions and good restaurants. Safe place to stay. Our stay there was pleasant and would come back again.
The location was nice.
I called two days prior and asked if I would be able to check in early and they said if the room was empty we would be able to so we got there about 3 hours before check in time and then they told us it was an extra 20 dollars, which they did not inform us prior to coming. We had no choice but to pay it because we live 2 hours away. Also our room smelt like curry, and to top it all off there was a small blood stain on the comforter! You have to basically kick the door to get it to shut and you have to park at a gas station down the road and walk to the hotel, parking is 10 dollars! After all of that we ended up spending 100 for the one night, on an awful hotel. I would look elsewhere.
Location is great, bus stops across the street by the awsome diner place where you get free coffee, tea or fresh lemonade if you are staying in hotel. Metro Red line is 10min walk away and so is entire walk of fame. Movie studios are 10min bus ride up north.
One day we got some ants but they were renovating few rooms and I guess they got iritated and seeked another location...nothing we couldn't handle.
Great location. Excellent value. Nice staff. Perfect for a night in Hollywood. Small, but cozy rooms. I've stayed in a lot worse for more money.
It felt a little odd leaving my car at a gas station around the corner, but it was well-lit and open 24 hours.
We got upgradedvto the delux room
Comfortable bed and good strong shower. Great location. You can see the Hollywood sign from round the corner and the walk of fame is walking distance.
Woman on reception was a bit grumpy and officious when we arrived. I think we had got her out of bed as it was about midnight, however, we'd be travelling for 19 hours and a friendly smile would have been appreciated. Room smelled a bit of drains.
The deluxe room ($99/night) was a significant improvement on the most basic room ($69/night) and was clean and adequate. The response of the owner went some way to ameliorating the situation and he moved me to a deluxe room after a dreadful first night, which was much appreciated.
The most basic room (apparently this was the last available on Booking) was like something out of a David Lynch movie. Grotty and stinking of smoke and looking into a car salvage site. It was dark and dingy; the carpet was tired and stained and the bedding was in a pretty horrible state with cigarette burns through it; the pillow smelled strongly of smoke and as a consequence, so did my hair the next day. The shower experience was also not particularly pleasant. You get what you pay for I guess (this being one of the cheaper rooms in Hollywood), but it was still no where near acceptable. I got the impression that the place is being renovated; this cannot come soon enough.
The location was great just a short walk to Hollywood Boulevard. Owners are friendly and very helpful. Our Room was very clean and tidy. Did see other rooms from the hall and they looked as good. Great Wifi. Nice bathroom.
Queen bed was a bit small for us, some of the rooms are being renovated so the sound traveled though the building with some work being carried out up until 10 pm on one night. I'm sure this must have been a one off.
Price, wifi, fridge, location, staff
Only one block away from Hollywood boulevard and easy access to other top locations
Location was close to Hollywood Walk of Fame and close to a good café for breakfast. Liked the connecting room with bathroom in between. Great for privacy. Young man at desk was very nice and helpful.
Room was very dimly lit with overhead light. Room was next to a parking lot and people were slamming car doors until late in the evening. Older gentleman at desk was not friendly and didn't seem to care about his guests.
Very friendly and precize staff. They give full of instructions - and even a map - about everything. Clean room. The hotel is one street from Hollywood Bvd. You can see the parking lot from the window. We would like to go back soon and enjoy their hospitality again.
The reception of the hotel is terrible! How can someone treat their clients with such bad humor and bad manners?!
Loved the simple and minimalist decor of the room, it made the room comfy and welcoming.
