The bed and pillows were the most comfortable I've ever had in a hotel room. The staff were very helpful, they stored my luggage for hours and arranged airport transportation for me.

The position of the hotel was great for exploring San Francisco, the interior felt comfortable and homely and the free use of the internet very use ful for checking in online for our flight home. The staff were extremely helpful especially as we had to change our plans during our stay. Although they were't able to provide a room for the nights we wanted, the receptionist rang several hotels locally and found us a room in another location. When we did book in the receptionist was very friendly and on checkout ensured that we had a taxi. Myself and my husband could not fault our stay and would definately book here again.

The location and staff were excellent. I stayed in room 123 which was on the ground floor and next to the lobby. The internal insulation was great as I could not hear any noise coming from the hallway or lobby. However, the noise from the street and the cafe next door was quite loud. I would not recommend this room (although very conveniently located) to another guest.

This was our second time staying in your hotel. The first was my wife and I on a little get away. This time was with our two daughters ages 12 &13. The staff is friendly and accomodating, love the comfort of the room, clean is very big with my wife especially the bathrooms. We love coming to the city and it is just far enough away from all the hub bub of the wharf. Also, love the italian resteraunt downstairs, breakfast was wonderful and they were also very observant.

Good Hotel. I booked it through smokers-united.com using booking.com The hotel had to honour my reservation with some reluctance. They had to do a deep clean of our room after 4 days and stated they will not have another smoking room any more in the hotel. So the smokers-united.com should be notified. The room service person for our room Christine was exceptionally proficient. They deserved her large tip at the end of our 4 days stay. Charles

We wanted to be close to Fisherman's Wharf in San Francisco and we were. We also needed to be within walking distance to Alcatraz docks. I wish the clerk has mentioned we could walk 2 blocks to the streetcar line and take it to the wharf since we are older and the walk while not long was a little harder on us that it might have been on a younger couple. We did make it in plenty of time since we had pre-registered and enjoyed our trip. After finding the two block place, we took tours that took us by that stop and we were able to get around better. The hotel was clean and the people were nice and friendly. They really helped with our trip. We would book again there. The restaurant was excellent although the service was a tad slow. I don't believe we found anything to dislike.

Location and staff. I did not like the surprise of the $25 hotel tax, and the $10 valet parking tax. Neither was disclosed until I check out of course!! I will not stay here again for that reason. That is nearly $40 unexpected dollars!!

This was not my first stay at your inn. The location is fantastic as you can drive into the city via Embargadaro from SFO and avoid the city traffic. Once you are there...there is no need for a car. Cable cars are close by and the city has wonderful transportation readily available. We love this location and the staff! We will definitely be back.

Anja was absolutely wonderful. She was helpful, insightful and always accommodating. The wine hour is a wonderful way to meet other guests and or sit and relax, a pleasurable way to end the day and start the evening. The coffee in the morning is a relaxing way to start the day. The resturant attached has excellent food at a reasonable price and the staff are as accommodating and informative as Anja was. We had been in the usa for a month and this was our last accommodation - we are highly recommending it to our executive travel agent.

Convenience. It was close to my son's apartment. We also enjoyed the location of being close to the Embarcadero, Fisherman's Wharf, and the Marina district since we are big walkers and we enjoy walking in those areas. There was a problem with noise from construction in the lobby and the manager was lovely to us and gave us a free night. We would definitely stay there again. We thought their new eco friendly tv remote was awful! Very hard to work! Frustrating when you wanted to watch tv.

Great location for seeing the tourist sights. My students loved it. Next time I would like to explore farther away from pier 39 and other tourist attractions though. I am starting to find my way around the city better and find out where the locals go! The hotel is great. Parking a car is very expensive, if you can even find a parking place at all. We rented a car to go to the ocean, but since it started raining, we tried to go to Haight Ashbury, or an art museum, or..... We drove around for 3 1/2 hours looking for a place to park and then just returned the car, it was too much hassle. The concierge was not much help in trying to find out where the busses stopped and which ones went where. She just shrugged and said there was a stop on Mason street and a bus stopped right in front of the hotel. Fortunately, the bus drivers we had were helpful.

The location for access to the wharf. We also liked the coffee/tea set up for early morning although we did not know about it until the last day. The staff in the reception area were friendly and helpful. The nearness to a shopping centre was also a bonus.. I would like a continental breakfast to be available as we found in a hotel in Hollywood where you toasted the bread/bagel and spread it with the butter and jellies available. Packets of cereals and fruit were also available. Everyone helped themselves and disposed of the cardboard plates and plastic cutlery, thus reducing staff time. However I realise that you want people to use the restaurant.

Despite the obvious renovations going on at the time of our visit we enjoyed our stay very much. Our room was clean and very comfortable. We appreciated the extra service the staff provided in circumstances they obviously found difficult. As small business people this meant a lot to us. The location is superb for people who are not experienced in travelling around San Francisco, with transport, shopping and the Piers so close to the hotel. We had a fun and relaxing time.

I liked nothing at this Inn, except the fact that I was able to leave after a day. The place is grotty, and shouldn't charge more than $60 per night for a room. It's a disgrace!!!! I will however tell all my friends that travel from ASIA NOT TO BOOK there.
