great location awesome idea of free tea/coffee in morning and the wine tasting in afternoon
We loved the location to most of the sites, also the staff were all very friendly.
It was all good really. Be nice if the gym was in the hotel but it is just over the road. Other than that! Book it up.
1: Great Hotel 2: Great service from staff, free drinks and coffee are a great touch and nice way to meet people 3: Location, two blocks (small ones, 3 minute walk) from the bay and attractions. NOTE: If you want to see Alcatraz BOOK a couple of weeks in advance of your stay!
the room view was not what was expected, i.e. garden view (a few plants in pots on a roof)
Liked the location.
no bar ..restaurant
location rooms staff
The basic function of a hotel is to provide a decent nights sleep, the rooms facing the street at this hotel are ridiculously noisy, next to a bus stop with buses stopping all night. I have stayed in central london and Manhattan hotels with noisier streets outside and they manage to sound proof, it seems they have done nothing to keep the noise out. That they put a family with small children or anyone in these rooms with out warning them or offering a discount Or at least ear plugs is a disgrace. Fortunately they were able to move us to an inner room for the second night but I felt ripped off. It's very expensive for what is offered, the rooms are also tiny. We're fans of best western but I will be very careful to book with them again after staying at this location.
Complementary coffee in the morning and wine in the evening, staff were helpful and polite, well located for the pier. They were able to change our room location after the first night.
The room was a bit to small for the price.
The location to the Pier everything was walking distance.
bed too soft and created bad back for my husband. air conditioning loud and needed it on for ventilation of the room.
near to cable car and transport options to take us all over town. near water for Alcatraz. food options nearby.
Rates in general very high,Taxes and parking fee comes on top making room rates even more non-affordable .
close to Pier 39, shopping and supermarket with reasonable prices for SF in walking distance, quiet rooms at least when located towards the patio, will chose it again for my next trip to SF
Stayed here for 4 nights , friendly helpful staff, excellent location, loved happy hour couldn't fault it.
Comfortable beds , great service
A surprise bonus was free drinks every night. A great opportunity to meet other travellers. From this location it was an easy walk to nearly all that the Bay Area has to offer. The piers, the cable cars and the eateries.
Exterior facing rooms have single pained windows that alow street noise interior facing rooms are very quiet but smaller
Across the street from Safeway parking lot $35 a day
After a long day of touring & walking, the bed was extremely comfortable. All staff were very friendly and attentive to any needs.
The air conditioner was a bit noisy, but in the end we didnt need it so no issue there for us
Reception staff were outstanding. Free wine between 5 & 6pm was an excellent way to mingle with the other guests. Excellent resturant
The only complaint was that the sofa bed in the king room was way too close to the king bed - the room was too small for both.
The facilities were beautiful, the food was good, and the staff were exceptional. We were glad we picked a location that was flat, rather than up the hill as my son had to use crutches during the visit. And the walking was easy.
They put is in a room where light shine directly thru the blinds into room, street noise all night. The Best western allows the dumpster pickup people to pickup at 2-3 am in morning right out side our window loud dumping and clanging happened both nights-- terrible noises would not stay there again unless a guarantee of a good room on other side of motel
Great people on restaurant staff , all employees friendly and helpful
Nice hotel , close to restaurants and shops , a nice wine reception each evening
Great location for the waterfront, friendly and helpful staff - lovely bed!
Staff friendly, room had been updated and very clean. Wine reception was great. Fresh coffee in the morning.
Confusing billing information
Comfortable rooms - best pillows ever!! Wine tasting an added bonus, meeting some great people over a glass!
Location to what we were there for. Close to cruise terminal, fishermans warf, etc
Overall the hotel was great. Couple things to note, however. My room was small, I think with up to two people you would be fine, but four would be too many for the size of the room. The walls were pretty thin, and the elevators were a little slow, but nothing out of the ordinary. I did attempt to eat breakfast at the adjoining restaurant my last morning there, and was seated, but waited 20 minutes and no one came to my table, so I got up and left. Also, I could never get the free wifi to work.
I was a bit hesitant to book this hotel, just because I thought Best Westerns would be a "value style" hotel. However I was pleasantly surprised with my experience. This hotel is in a great location to walk to everything you would want at Fisherman's Wharf. My room was small (I was travelling alone) but it was very cute, and extremely well appointed. Mini bar was well stocked and the prices were reasonable (for a mini bar). Bed was very comfortable. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful, and the common areas of the hotel were extremely clean. I did have a view of Coit Tower out my window, however I also had a view directly into a neighboring apartment as well. I think this hotel was an incredible value for the location and what you get for the price.
The telly in the room was broken and the minibar extremely noisy. The noise of a sort of engine outside the window (maybe from a hot water heating, I don't now) annoyed us during the night.
The position of the hotel is excellent and the staff is very friendly. WiFi is good.
