First time in a B & B very nice experience. Would stay again.
Thought a little table would be provided for eating for guests at breakfast
Atmosphere location in town breakfast choices
I would have preferred a private bathroom but since I saw nobody else there, it didn't matter.
Everything mentioned above
Our bedroom was small, with almost no room to place our suitcases and smaller bags. Bed, as a result, was small and somewhat uncomfortable. Floors (in bedroom and in hallway) were squeaky and a little annoying. Wi-fi reception was weak and on occasion not reliable
Charming home, with a great feel to it - living room, bedrooms, stairway leading to upstairs, all took you back to another era. Continental breakfast was truly outstanding. The people on staff were impeccable and very attentive to detail.
Needs new caulk around bathtub. If it were mine I'd rip out molded tub unit and put in tile.
This is one of only 2 hotels right down town. Queen room was good size, very clean with comfortable bed. Chairs were old and abit thread bare, but as Antiques Roadshow would tell you, that's a good thing. Common living room is very nice.
The heater cycles on and off- couldn't sleep well. But this is true for all old heating systems
Poor Wi-Fi Decoration showing signs of wear and tear Staff pleasant but misses ' owner's personal touch' that is often expected for a B&B Price on high side Poor pastries served for breakfast
Location - walking distance to all of Woodstock attractions Flexibility - could come and go at anytime Free-flow Coffee
The floors creak, the doors close loudly, and the beds are very uncomfortable making it difficult to sleep.
This is a sweet inn with an old time feel. The staff is courteous and the location, if you want to visit Woodstock, is fabulous.
Wi Fi only worked in the bathroom
Personal very nice!!
My husband thought the bed was slightly uncomfortable but I didn't have a problem with it.
The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. We loved the breakfasts! It was in a central location so good for shopping and walks. Our room, and Twin Gables in general, was very clean. We will book again when next in that area.
The room was quite comfortable, but a little tired. The 4-poster bed was fine, but a bit stiff - not the same as a newer "cushie" queen.
Terrific location - walking distance to anywhere in town. Very relaxing and comfortable establishment. It was like being at home - with very good breakfast items in the morning. The staff were all so very friendly and helpful, yet not in the way of one's privacy.
EVERYTHING, the informality andthe muffins for breakfast and the coffee
Being on the street side made it a bit noisy from traffic, but it didn't bother me. The wifi was weak by the bed but if I walked over toward door could get a strong signal. I made the reservation through booking.com and was charged an extra $25 over what the Inn charges- had a hard time getting a refund of the overcharge from booking.com, and they still haven't lowered their price on their site. Book directly with the Inn.
I booked room #2 which was lovely and large yet cozy, with a writing desk and queen bed. The decor was charming, the architectural details wonderful, the breakfast great, and although I don't enjoy sharing a bathroom (down the hall), it was worth it to be able to stay in such a great room.(All the rooms with private bathrooms were taken that night.) I loved staying there and will return to sleep again in that room.
Conveniently located to downtown Woodstock.
In the bathroom the inability to turn on a light without the loud fan noise; the dark stain on the edge of the bath on the upper left and the need to jingle the toilet after using it.
My daughter and I relished the peace and coziness of our room and its amazing history as revealed in its guest book in the top drawer of the bureau!
Genuine effort made by staff to make Twin Gables my home away from home. I could walk to everything I needed in the Village of Woodstock. It was natural to join other guests in "our" living room for conversation by the fire as the day wore down.
