The pillows were the best ever
We have stayed here several times in the last 2 year. Each time it has been pleasant with helpful staff.
Attended a wedding on site, very convienient
Something was wrong with ac in room, room had a mildew like smell
The hotel is a repurposed old factory. Tall ceiling, tall windows, exposed brick, very cool! The room had not just a sitting "area", it was an entire separate sunken living room. The location was great, easy walking distance to lots of cool restaurants.
Our room had a door to the room next to it. We heard our neighbors laughing and having a great time very clearly, like we were in the same room with them, until the wee hours. It ruined the entire experience of staying in this awesome place. If I ever come back I will demand to have a more secluded room or I will find somewhere else to stay.
This is a charming, comfortable, lovely hotel. Our room was large, clean and basic. TV is old and small but other than that it was great.
Old, small tv
Historic hotel, beautiful patio, includes continental breakfast, wine and cheese in the afternoons, cookies and milk in the evenings. Walking distance to Old Salem historic site and downtown restaurants. Le Meridien is across the street and so is a great Italian restaurant.
The architecture, the ample space, the decor
Rug in room was caked with dirt in one area
We loved the cookies and milk hour!
We did not feel welcomed when we were checking out. The man was busy chatting with his coworkers.
It was cozy and we enjoyed our stay very much.
The rooms need ceiling fans to push the cooling down. The air conditioner just couldn't keep up. Never got below 78 in our room.
It was a nice little hotel.
Bugs! Huge roaches in the hallway, some dead, some alive. Spiders in the bathroom.
It was amazing!!
Very beautiful interior/furnishment, huge room, sympathetic house cat, loved the wine testing in the evening.
Quite poor breakfast buffet & internet on android phones does not work
Nice sitting area in our room. Looked inviting to curl up with a book except it was in a dark corner without a lamp.
This homey, inviting hotel was a nice change from the look alike chains. Rooms are furnished differently, our bathroom was large, and the breakfast was ample. Great to stay in a reasonably priced hotel in walking distance of Old Salem.
the bed was very much comfortable and staff were friendly...except one
The room was very clean and quiet
The elevator only went up three floors and we were on the 4th floor. The room was in the attic and had strange configuration.
Everything except airconditioning was weak in room and breakfast buffet food should not have been removed at 9:57
Big rooms, comfortable and romantic.
Loved this place. Will definitely stay again. You really got a comfortable feel from the place. It was very clean.
Brick building structure, courtyard, decoration, historical style, quietness
Missed espresso drinks and fresh fruit at breakfast
Staff was wonderful!!!!!! One of the most comfortable beds and beautiful rooms we have ever stayed at!
The wine and cheese reception was a great way to meet other guests and exchange stories and sample some of the local produce. Perfect location for both downtown and Old Salem.
The room was big with a very high ceiling so it felt airy. That breakfast was included was a pleasant surprise. We were able to walk to Old Salem where we spent an interesting day.
What a pity breakfast was served using horrible disposable plates and cutlery.
The size of the room The quietness The surroundings
The buffet breakfast The slightly dated appliances
