morning coffee and quietness good value for a place to sleep
non smoking not good tv choices (we don't speak spanish but played the spanish game shows) the wind
I thought I would like the location as advertised online with the cozy bungalow pictures. That turned out to be one section of the motel not available for the online booking.
I asked to have a room off the highway but this was not allowed for the prebooked rate although people coming in off the street were given their preference. As I turned down the bed I found hair on the pillows and phoned to have them changed. It was suggested that maybe I could bring them over to the office to be exchanged. My suggestion that perhaps staff should bring me a replacement was eventually followed. I was totally grossed out by the filthy room with hair on the bedspread and pillows. I will not stay in Umatillo again.
website photos and description inviting. Price sounded right.
What you see in the website photos was not what you get. Property was not kept, room was dirty, flies and other bugs and outside feral cats climbing on the car.....
We were 40 miles from Pendleton Roundup and all motels were booked, no vacancy.
The furniture was outdated but I guess you get what you pay for. We were on a budget trip so the price was right.
Beds were ok.
constant truck traffic all night long.
Close to freeways
I asked for handicap accessability after we arrived tried to make do
Big refrigerator, and up to date tv
Wifi not available, curtain for a bathroom door, the room itself was not finished, holes in the ceiling and walls, STAINS and cigarette burns in the sheets, the air conditioner gave off a funky odor and the room in fact had an odor as well. Flies were everywhere once I entered the room, used a couple towels to kill as many so I wouldn't be bothered while trying to sleep
Full Size Refrigerator, AC, quick access to freeway, really quiet
The Bed, door faces outside
Umatilla is a very small place so this Inn was the towns best choice.
I liked the kitchen area in the room as there was a sink and counter as well as stove and refrigerator and microwave. I also liked that I was able to park right by my room and therefore it was easier to load and unload.
Even though I had the Do Not Disturb sign on my door, someone came in while I was away from my room and removed a couple towels and emptied one waste basket. This was before check out time. Also the flat screen TV had poor quality picture on most stations. The wi-fi was dropped offline several times in my two-day stay.
Walking distance to place's to eat.
Value for price. Just off the freeway. Older two story structure but maintained. Two queen beds, kitchenette and good shower. Good night's sleep.
No thermostat (room temp seemed to be pre-adjusted, but windows provided ventilation). Poor TV reception. Limited places to eat, but it is small town Americana.
The lady at the front desk was friendly. It was clean for an older property and looks like they have kept it up as well as they can without a remodel.
My wife didn't like that the rooms smelled like smoke even though they are non-smoking now. I didn't care, I just wanted to go to sleep. :)
The phone didn't work to contact the front desk to notify them the remote for tv didn't work. The non smoking room had a strong odor of cigarettes
It has big rooms for big family
Not clean bad costumer service over charging for a late check out and had to leave into rain and cold with kids I well not come back
