If you are looking for a nice, quiet place to stay for sleeping and taking showers, this is the place for you. The rooms are really nice. They are small, but in NYC most hotel rooms are small. But like I said, if you are planning on going out all day and just need a convenient place to stay, this place is perfect. The hotel staff is very nice and helpful. They offer a free breakfast voucher at a cute little cafe right around the corner. I couldn't get over how quiet this place was! Perfect after being gone all day walking around and coming in exhausted. For the price, I really wasn't expecting much, but I was pleasantly surprised at how nice and quaint the hotel is. I will definitely stay there again and again.
There isn't a lot of amenities, as far as a mini fridge or an ice machine.
Great location! Breakfast included at diner very close by! Yes, rooms are small but is not bad if you are traveling by yourself or for couples! Very clean, staff very friendly and helpful! Would book again!
Took my money tow weeks before I arrived even though I had cancellation rights. Seemingly second-hand towels, mismatched. No kitchen, no washing machine, loud door closings, thin walls, often broken elevator, weak lighting (none above sink) no double glazing (noise of trucks). Poor cable TV (limited channels and poor signal. No CNN) Cheap furniture, loud heater... and so on.
This man running the breakfast place.
The service, service and the service.
the size of the room is incredibly small. There is no space to put your bags in the floor. The bed was cuted in a corner so that the door could open/close.
location and style
I didn't mind the size of the room but, since I stayed one night, alone, I could have used a smaller bed and closet, and a little more floor space The bathroom was very nice.
What can I say other than, 2 blocks from the R Train which takes to to the World Trade Center, the staff where great, very friendly. One block to 5th Street and you are in restaurant heaven.
Sympathetic breakfast diner, got ouzo for breakfast, why not. Overall nice staff, Brooklyn Museum etc. in reach, room was clean and had an Iphone 4 dock which is nice.
Very small rooms, not really cheap
The personal is quite good, friendly, helpful. The hotel seems to be clean.
The size of the room was a complete lie on the pictures we saw. We were three people travelling, one "double" room and one "single" room. In fact it was the same room, no difference. The size of the room was like that two people couldn't be out of bed parallel. One had to sit in bed in order the other could move. The room door couldn't be open completely since the bed was standing in front of the door. Two suitcases didn't fit in the room. Only if you put them on top of each other. In other words, the room was less than 10qm, and the bed alone was covering 70% of this room.
Very good Wifi. Free breakfast at the local restaurant was great.
Tiny tiny room. Asked for an upper floor, but was given the 1st floor. Neighborhood a little isolated at night.
Staff was accomodating
Bed was so-so
thanks to reviews and my stays at many other Brooklyn hotels I went in with an open mind the hotel location, huh, it is what it is. up & coming!
the bed is too low to the ground This hotel may be modeled from a German style but this is different places serving different people.
construction site outside our window. wrong side of the tracks location. no hotel lobby, bar, anything !! way over-priced. unhelpful staff. tiny room
Excellent value for money, helpful staff
Slightly away from Barclay's Centre Metro - R train not that useful to me - basically fine!
Good design, prices, location, breakfast
I was in the 109 and I think it is specially small room. I have been in others but the door couldnt open totally because the bed... tiny! the bed was confortable but the bed clothes seems very old, yellow and certainly, I was afraid to check if bugs... everything was clean but seem old or dirty. The people in the front desk made a correct job but a smile is free and certainly, is much better.
The price was right, the room was updated and nicely decorated.
The room was small.
the bed so cool
the room so small and i wish you have open Buffet . why there is no refrigerator.
The hotel is conveniently located 5 minute walk from the subway line - just a couple stops away from Manhattan. The breakfast is served in a very nice diner with a friendly staff. 10 minute walk from Barclay's arena/shopping center and 20 minute walk from Prospect Park.
Not a king size bed, just two twins pushed together!
simple and as expected so no surprise, no fuss breakfast place
Smallest rooms in USA. 35 to 50 sqf. No room to move. Tiny tiny rooms !!!
So clean and such a nice bed
Need better directions with a cross road. My taxi drove an hour the wrong way bc she was lost and all the one way streets make it hard. A little pricey for such a tiny room but very modern.
