Very central to the city of San Francisco. Since we were there to explore the city and not spend a lot of time at the hotel, we wanted a clean and safe room that was inexpensive. |

central location, close to everything - and affordable. our bed was a little old, so in the morning we would end up wedged in the middle, like sleeping on a hammock... not a big deal though. |

Great location, right in the heart of San Francisco city, very convenient to many sightseeing spots, short tram ride to Fisherman's wharf, California Academy of Science (a must see), 5 minutes to China town. My room was very noisy, the garbage truck came every morning at 2:30am. |

GREAT location! Right by Union Square! We ended up switching rooms to one facing Geary street, which was MUCH better - bigger, and good view! The hotel was not very clean. Yes, it is a budget hotel, and you get what you pay for - but everything would have been okay if it weren't for the 'clean' towels with someone's hair all over them - and not just 1 of the towels.. most of them. I would stay at this hotel again - but I would definitely bring my own towels with me next time! |

Close to BART and cheapest hotel in area. Old carpet, remote control did not work, paint on door (interior) was peeling. |

Great location, just 2 blocks from Union Square and 5 min walk from Market St and Cable Car. I booked it with a very heavy discount which made worth while. For purpose of resting my head somewhere and taking a worm shower after entire day of city escapades it was a good choice. Hotel is very old, windows are very thin and with a room on 7th floor I had troubles sleeping due to a constant noise coming from the outside. |

Best value for the location. The bathroom was spotless. Room recently redecorated. Just fine for a short stay. This is a very old building, with small rooms, fire sprinklers kludged in. Common areas still under renovation. Lacked coffee maker in room. |

location location location! This hotel is right in the middle of Union Square, which is the downtown of San Francisco. This hotel isn't the cleanest or the most up-to-dated hotel. The carpet is very old, seems like it's from the 80s, and the walls are stained in yellow. Also, there's no shampoo or conditioner provided. |

It was handy to the tourist things I want to do. The bathroom is really small and curtain needs a clean. |

Location (ish) Right next to massage parlours. Swanky flats. Beggars. Irish Bar. Dustbins. Location. Bins woke me twice. Once when they put then out around 2:00am (Just going to sleep, so no big problem), but then again around 4:20am when they were emptied. Wifi wasn't free. Boy at the desk didn't know anything. eg. laundry. Window didn't lock. Funiture didn't fit in room. Expect your SatNav to get lost finding the place. |

Location is excellent! The doors were locked with key, and the staff lost the key of our room when we left it on the reception desk. We asked for a new room afterwards |

The hotel was clean, comfortable and the staff were pleasant and helpful. We stayed at the hotel from Thursday night through to Saturday morning and although our room was on the 2nd floor facing Geary St, (supposedly the "noisy" side of the hotel), we had no issues with noise. This is even more suprising considering the entrance to our room was immediately adjacent to the elevator. The hotels WiFI does not work with iPhones or iPod's. |

The hotel staff were so friendly and helpful. I had problems with my laptop and they were supportive. As it turned out, problems with the router was the fault. We really would have liked a refrigerator in the room or at least access to one. We could have managed without the TV instead! |

Can't beat the price for a hotel off union square! Carpet is worn and walls look dirty throughout the hotel, pretty dated all round but you get what you pay for! |

Basic hotel with nice rooms. Good Value for money. The heating could not be turned off, although the staff assured us that it could be. |

I think think this is a slightly strange hotel, it is very grubby, and doesn't have much in the way of services. However the beds were comfortable and the bed linen was good. The location of the hotel is excellent and I think the price is reasonible Needs a bit of a spring clean |
