The room size The bathroom size Cleanliness Distance to attractions Distance to affordable food. Friendly staff
The noise from the street - we have to keep the window's close. Need more air.
Location, cleanliness of rooms
Bad internet connection
Perfect location, multiple food places nearby, safe part of the city, helpful staff
No tea & coffee making facilities, breakfast or microwave.
location is good it is not as noisy as I expected
sheets, carpet and drapes are very old
location is good. Many restaurants nearby. Room was clean
Very poor WiFi... takes minutes to load web page itself. Noise from surrounding were clearly audible, disturbed my sleep early morning..
Convenient location. Near Union Square and Market St. Price is very reasonable for the area. Room was clean, bed was comfortable enough.
Thin walls and single-pane windows let in all of the noise. Nearly impossible to get uninterrupted sleep. No amenities whatsoever.
There wasn't any parking, we had to find a lot to park in which cost $50. Plus it was far away and one of us was in a wheelchair. That wasn't fun
Good staff, friendly and helpful.
Low quality overall, but good enough if you're on a budget. Wifi was not usable. Turned it off and users phone connection to do anything.
We left a few items behind and they are bring nice enough to send to us.
It was so warm in the room, no fan or air. If you open the window, there is no screen or safety for young children to fall out. Central heating unit was so hot, was burned attempting to turn off and not safe to have for children. Hotel staff was insensitive about the burn and would not assist in turning off the unit.
Excellent location in the heart of the shopping district. Comfortable, clean and excellent value.
Decor a bit tired
cleanliness linen changed daily room very quiet location
room a bit small old tv and cabinet takes up to much space
The location and the people were very good.
At this location, you shouldn't be spending too much time in your hotel room. Get out and enjoy the city! The room has everything you need - nothing more, but a great price.
The room was very warm - no a/c, but open your windows and it become quite pleasant
The location of the hotel which is in the heart of the city. Very convenient and accessible to all shopping areas.
No air-cond and when the windows are opened, the noise from the traffic is terrible.
Loved the location and price. It was a very basic room. Clean.
We had an exterior room...lovely views...but we heard everything that was down on the street ALL night long. Not the best nights sleep. I would tell anyone to stay here, just get an interior room.
Location is perfect for anyone staying around Union Square and for the price it is a great place to stay, we would definitely stay here again.
Definitely not the flashiest or the most modern hotel but very clean and comfortable.
Location and price. We wanted a cheap no-nonsense hotel room in center SF, this is it.
furniture and bathroom is out dated single glass windows, thus noisy. no breakfast option ( but expected and we could live with it)
Very centralized, except for Fisherman's wharf, we were able to walk to all of our top destinations. And even then, the cable car that takes you there was only 2 blocks away.
Being in the middle of down town, we expected there to be a lot of noise, and the alley behind the hotel got very loud every evening and early morning.
The location could not be beat. Beds suck, ridiculously loud on weekend nights, small rooms, and an odd smell in the hall. Rooms were clean and smelled fine. Staff was awesome and again location for the price could not be beat. Will absolutely stay again if I'm in the city for the budget price I paid. If you're spending a lot of time in your room in a city as beautiful as that, you should probably stay home anyways. Perfect for a place to crash and excellent jumping off point for everywhere in the city.
Location in the center of city
Great location near Union Square. Good sized room. Tidy and comfortable to meet our needs. Friendly staff.
Poor WiFi. No tea / coffee facilities
The staff was very helpful. The water pressure in the shower was the best I have seen in a long time. The location was great for all we did, not far from the cable car or the tour buses. A lot of places to eat that were very good within working distance.
The bed was a little uncomfortable, the pillows needed to be a little fluffier.
Staff were non-existent, only saw one. Neighborhood got more rowdy at night, but safe. Two Theaters just across the street.
many panhandlers at night.
Location is very good, all the attractions are nearby and plenty of restaurant options.
Before booking i didnt realise that the hotel didnt have a parking and had to park at a paid parking lot at cost 25$ a day !. Also the rooms are lot smaller than expected.
