Union Square Plaza Hotel  

Great localization, comfortable beds, clean rooms.

Noise heard from the street, low temperature in rooms in winter, no electric heater available.

Proximity within tourist spots..

Sorry but have to be frank, the wing we stayed especially room 211 is so close to garbage site...it stink and very noisy at the very early morning like 2-3am when they collect the garbage..thou we were transferred to room 412 which is slightly better but the collection time really pisssed off your guests because those who do the collection not only dragged the metal containers but shout loud that awaken your clients...this comment may not be welcome but you must realize the reality that you have to do something to make the stay of your guest pleasurable & comfortable...GOOD Sleep is very important for TRAVELERS...this you must understand.

It is very noisy if you are on the road side of the hotel

Nice location, poor and rude staff.

We were not allowrd to leave our luggages after checking out although it was stated in the facilities list. the staf was rude.

Well on arrival the hotel seemed in the perfect location the staff member Hanzel was so friendly and helpful. On entering our floor which was the 2nd I could smell cigarette smoke. I was ok with this in the hall but on entering our room (x2) that we had booked I found the smell quite strong. I noticed in the room that I was in which was the kitchenette room many butts on the landing outside the window. The other room was also strong smelling of smoke. The window in rm 203 was broken so outside noise very bad.

The smell of cigarettes everywhere and the extreme noise that was not able to be shut out from outside - the window that was not able to be closed from inside but finally managed to be next morning by leaning outside and pushing it closed. Basically the hotel need to ensure the smoking habits of the guests - hanging outside of windows and having a cigarette is not a non smoking room, Hallways n floors could have done with a very good vacuum. Large fridge not working so little fridge just put in on top of large one - no notes to explain this just had to work it out - bathroom vanity in 204 was falling to pieces with the drawers. Felt quite uncomfortable. Left after 1 nite but we did book 3 nts - had to pay for 2

location is fantastic. and the price is very good. if you want to save money for shoping, partying or eating Union Square Plaza Hotel is a great choice.

well, defenitely it is not a luxury hotel.... poor and old actually...

Nothing, and I will advise anyone thinking of staying there to pay the extra and stay clear of the plaza hotel.

Location, comfort, economy and friendly and polite staff.

Security. There were times when the night recepcionist left the hotel enabling non guests to enter the hotel.

This hotel was filthy. There was black mold all over the celing of the bathroom amd window sills. We stayed the first night and then found another hotel because of the dirt and mold. Very unsanitary. I asked 2 questions to book the hotel 1. safe area? 2. Clean? I was told it was a positive on both. It was filthy.

the front desk staff were friendly and helpful. the room was cleaned with new towels and bed made everyday. good price and location to union square. bed was surpisingly comfortable, had an elevator which i wasn't expecting for the age of the hotel.

didn't have wash cloths. we stayed in january, so the room temp was ok, but i could see it getting very warm if you stayed there in the summer months. hotel is old, so don't expect the rooms to be large or lavish.

I liked its really marvelous price and location. This hotel is just one & half block away from Union Square. Its somewhat deficient services and facilities is no problem when considering its price and location. I think this hotel is highly satisfactory to young packtripper.
