Having to pay for parking
Room was pretty nice, staff was nice, somewhat close to downtown/
my comforter had urine stains all over it, and they didn't bring me a new one for hours. they never brought enough towels. not convenient enough to downtown
The food was great. The security was a nice comfort.
Not very close to anything. It was a 30 min walk to downtown. There wasn't any transportation provided and if you had a vehicle it was 20$ a night to park it in their lot as a guest of the hotel. I guess for the price I paid I would have expected a little bit more than that. My shower head had to be replaced which was surprising no other guest had complained prior to me staying there as it just didn't work.
The Hampton Inn is a very nice 3* hotel, and even exceeded my expectations with respect to the room comfort and cleanliness. Very nice comfortable bed. Good location close to the University of Texas, and Capitol Hill. Friendly staff. Good quality breakfast.
Room was great and service, including breakfast, was great.
It's really time to lose that hallway carpet. That design makes it look dirty, even if it's not. Parking rate seemed a little excessive for a guest of the hotel.
Location and price
comfortable beds and pillows
nothing to complain
The facilities were new, modern, fun, and very clean. The staff was friendly, welcoming, and helpful. The pool views of the Capital and city were gorgeous.
My only complaint would be the distance from the downtown area. It's not a far walk and it wasn't difficult to arrange reasonably priced transportation but it was a challenge having to go back and forth multiple times each day.
as per my headline but also add great value and the beds were very comfortable.
The location was good, about 11 blocks away from the main attractions downtown. Very clean, very secure.
Paid over $300 for a tiny interior room. Requested a room with a window outside, instead was given a room with a window that looked out onto an interior balcony that was inaccessible but did look straight into another rooms window, about 5 feet away. The staff didn't explain the use of the key to get to your floor, so it took a minute to figure out why the elevator wouldn't go to my floor.
Really nice staff. The sheets are so comfortable. Also, great downtown location.
Very good breakfast Good price, great location
Updated. Nice room. Clean and very comfy bed
No view. The hallways were laid out very weird. Confusing.
The bed was comfortable
The check in was a nightmare with most rude personnel I have ever seen. After long negotiation could finally check in the room I actually booked and not the lower class on they sent me to. Breakfast is very poor. Plastic plates and cutlery . No cheese ( except Philadelphia spread) or warm milk offered. I can t understand how this place was rated so high on bookings. A ripe off.
Location, parking, confortable new hotel.
Breakfast could be improved.
Other than the shower, everything was great.
The water pressure in our shower (room 229) was so great that it was painful. We literally could not take a shower because it was too painful and left welts all over our bodies. Also, the water did not get very hot.
The beds are awesome! I would have bought the sheets if I could have.
I wish you had provided a shuttle to the Innaugural Ball.
The staff was outstanding. Friendly, helpful. Hampton's are consistent. Clean, very comfortable beds, great breakfast (complimentary) and usually well priced.
I felt as though the website described the hotels location as being adjacent to all the activities on 6th. It is roughly a mile walk! I thought the rate at this Hampton was a little overpriced.
The hotel is close to the Texas State Capitol. You can walk downtown, catch a bus or get a $10 cab ride there. The rooms are large with quiet air conditioning and lovely comfortable beds. Breakfast includes a good choice of hot and cold food. The hotel also has a coin operated laundry. The staff are friendly and helpful.
Clean and comfy room
No free wifi
A bar would be a good addition for a sociable eveving drink
The room, bed. I did not use coffeemaker. Did use frig for water only. Breakfast good.
The thermostat was a little difficult for me to use. There is one light switch which says "leave up" with no explanation why. There is one restaurant across the street but it closed at 6pm. Thus I was NOT able to have any evening meal. Other restaurants two blocks away but the night very cold and distance too far for 85 y.o. Bath non slip tub w/o grab bar; but I need stall shower, preferably with seat.
Good location and friendly staff.
They charged me 100 USD deposit at check in but I didn't use it and I didn't get any refund to my credit card until now !! I am not sure why they take a deposit. There is nothing in the refrigerator and the breakfast was included in my rate.
As soon as we entered the doors, the receptionists were so friendly and helpful. The hotel is within walking distance of the Texas State History Museum and the State Capitol. There is free parking right across the street on Sundays. The beds were super comfortable and everything was clean. I really have nothing bad to say about my stay. Everyone in our group was happy.
Wifi was excellent
little bit pricey
