I have stayed at the Durham University Inn for 4 or 5 years. I first chose it because it is close to the Duke Medicine Clinic. I liked it so much that each time I need to attend the Clinic, I stay at the Inn. The staff was very friendly and accommodating.

Great location. The walls were a bit filthy. Could have been much cleaner. Older amenities TVs funiture etc.

Wondherful place where one guest there move his car to 2nd parking area so I can park my SUV close to the reception...and two ladies also help us there who were accompanying mother or kids there in Duke hospital. The room is so big which we never have for this price. Great!

Clean and organized, friendly staff. The breakfast did not have a good assortment and by 9:30 most of it was gone, even though it ran until 10:30.

The staff was especially helpful in giving directions to Duke University and in getting my laundry done. that is such a plus when you're traveling with family. Gail at the front desk was very helpful and friendly. The beds were extremely comfortable and we slept the best we have all week. we didn't get down to breakfast until maybe 9:30 and all that was there was cold cereal and oatmeal and a few bagels. That was fine tho' we still enjoyed the free breakfast.

Size of room and comfort of bed. Free newspaper. Most of all - location. Staff did not clean well. Recliner should be replaced. TV needs up-dating. Bath tub needs replacing.lDo away with continental breakfast as it is not to good.

We liked the open, large, light and airy room. The heater/air conditioner worked quietly and efficiently. The pillows and mattress were very comofortable. The light colored decor made one feel upbeat and welcome. Coffee in room was excellent. There should have been strips on bathroom tub to prevent slippage and or grab bars. Tub was very slippery. Fortunately, my husband was not still on a walker or tub-toilet area would have been difficult to traverse. Lobby does not make a great first impression - mostly the floor. Free breakfast not impressive.
