Price Location Quiet
Mattress sunk in middle, both beds
This hotel had a good breakfast and the beds were pretty comfortable. My son loved that it had a pool. which he didn't get to use as much as he wanted All the basics were provided and we didn't lack anything. We also rented our vehicle from Budget that is located in the hotel which was very convenient.
There were a few things that would have bumped up the rating to excellent in my opinion. There was no fan in the bathroom, we had no Wi-Fi in the room that we were in and the elevator up to our room seemed a little scary at times. I wasn't sure if it was going to breakdown or not. Other than those few things our stay in Portland was great.
Pool, breakfast selection, nice location, reasonable price.
Breakfast closes too early.
The hotel is nicely located and is generally clean. However, it would need some updates soon. The furniture and facilities are coming into the years.
The room lock would open only occasionally. Over the weekend I had about 30 trips between the front desk and the room, since the keys did not work, and the reception staff was slow in helping out. They rather provided me with a new set of keys every time, which in most cases did not work either. Further, the staff in the breakfast area seemed to be more concerned with getting the hotel guests out of the room and clean the tables than serving their guests. I had to intervene twice, when a staff member tried to pull the plate from in front of me, which I was visibly still eating from. Very strange. Some serious training necessary.
Breakfast room disappointing.
Great location, good breakfast
Mattresses vary from room to room. Some are too hard, some too soft and lumpy.
Fresh baked cookies on check-in, lovely pool, clean room, fridge and microwave in room.
Pool Location Clean
Breakfast quality, dark Breakfast room, No bar
Continental breakfast was good.
Bed, pillows, blankets weren't too comfortable. Toilet needed repaired.
Breakfast as great.
Carpet needed to be vacuumed.
Spacious. Clean. Keurig in the room.
Carpets were not swept well. Debris and wrappers. No complimentary parking.
Clean rooms Nice pool
Disinfectant used in room smelled like bad perfume.
condition of facility
room was not cleaned by 430 pm
Clean and big room. Quiet location, yet walking distance to downtown and waterfront. Rich breakfast.
It was a bit overpriced, probably because I stayed during the weekend.
Good location. Staff friendly
Carpets in bedrooms and coridors need replacing
All personnel were extremely helpful, professional and friendly. Room was clean and comfortable. Free breakfast was very ample and offered a wide variety of items.
Staff moved noisy things down the corridor too early in the morning.
I loved the pool, and the complimentary breakfast was convenient.
The room was extremely outdated and the bed felt as if I was sleeping on the floor.
It was not too far from the Amtrak and had several bus/train stops available. Had a decent breakfast spread.
Carpet was really dirty. Room - so-so. Staff couldn't give good directions about reaching from Amtrak to their place. It is really critical that staff know the modes of transport available to outsiders - among other things!
Staff did not seem to know what was going on although they were friendly. My booking.com reservation was not sent to the hotel, or at least they could not find me. I had made the reservation 2 months in advance. Luckily, there was a room available so I was not sent away. Unluckily, there was a convention group staying there that really took over the hotel. Although breakfast was included in the rate, we didn't want to battle the very long lines any of the three mornings we were there. Since it bills itself as a conference center, it seems like there should be a better way to serve breakfast when the hotel is full. Most people attending a conference need to be at the first meeting at the same time.
Location Facilities Staff Price
Surcharge for parking Small bed
Fresh new lobby connects to old-style rooms accessed via covered outdoor walkway. Room was smallish but completely adequate, desk staff were helpful. Fantastic breakfast in restaurant included in price, though it could stay open a little longer. Lobby-side car rental. Easily walkable/public transport all over downtown Portland.
NO WIFI in rooms! Advertises internet access in rooms, but not for Mac Air, which has different wired port.
Clean, affordable, food was GREAT, Hostess at bar was VERY OUTSTANDING!! her name is Azia, she recommended my dinner choice which was OUTSTANDING!! she recommended my drinks which were GREAT!! Azia made my stay GREAT!!! thank you.
- breakfast simple, but tasty and enough for a good start into the day - close to the streetcar, to the university and to the city
- some of the stuff didn't welcome the guests: no "hello", no smile, no ask "how are you" - may say "rude"! - the climatisation sometimes was so loud, we couldnt sleep
