nearby public transit clean room
run down staff wasn't great
Location Restaurant Overall value for money
No pick up from air port Limited internet access in my room, only used to work in one corner
Parking was a huge hassle. You can't stay for a conference without paying through the nose. Dining was disappointing. They only serve in the bar and the night I was there they ran out of blue cheese dressing. It doesn't cost much for them to have a couple of extra bottles in storage. They only had two single unisex restrooms available as the bigger ones by the bar were barricaded by doors.
Carpet was badly stained, bad odors, bed uncomfortable, light fixture in bathroom hanging down, noisy staff in the A.M., breakfast like hospital food. A frig. would have been nice!
Location for ease of walking
Driving in the area
In my whole life I have never seen such a rude staff in any hotel except this one. It was a bad experience and I will never go back again.
Location was awful. Building is ancient. Not good.
Delicious chocolate chip cookie upon check in. Good quality free breakfast. Nice hot shower. Easy drive into downtown Portland or you could take a bus or Max as they are in walking distance.
My room didn't have wifi.
great location and easy to public transportation
Location is close to public transportation, upgraded rooms are attractive and spacious, breakfast is excellent
Beds a little hard (for my personal taste) and front desk personnel are not very friendly
Close to the zoo and down town
Needed a microwave and frig.and more pillow s
Staff was good.
Filthy lobby, puke not cleaned up by restaurant door. Carpet coming up and not clean. Paid for 2 queen beds and had one small queen. Breakfast was poor quality. Nothing open in the neighborhood.
Helpful staff. Small restaurant was good. Breakfast was fast but good.
Needs maintenance.Listing was confusing. Was given a double bed, too small. They did change rooms.
location, breakfast, room size, hospitality.
inside appearance: furniture, carpets, light fixtures, elevators need to be updated.
Price Location Quiet
Mattress sunk in middle, both beds
This hotel had a good breakfast and the beds were pretty comfortable. My son loved that it had a pool. which he didn't get to use as much as he wanted All the basics were provided and we didn't lack anything. We also rented our vehicle from Budget that is located in the hotel which was very convenient.
There were a few things that would have bumped up the rating to excellent in my opinion. There was no fan in the bathroom, we had no Wi-Fi in the room that we were in and the elevator up to our room seemed a little scary at times. I wasn't sure if it was going to breakdown or not. Other than those few things our stay in Portland was great.
Pool, breakfast selection, nice location, reasonable price.
Breakfast closes too early.
The hotel is nicely located and is generally clean. However, it would need some updates soon. The furniture and facilities are coming into the years.
The room lock would open only occasionally. Over the weekend I had about 30 trips between the front desk and the room, since the keys did not work, and the reception staff was slow in helping out. They rather provided me with a new set of keys every time, which in most cases did not work either. Further, the staff in the breakfast area seemed to be more concerned with getting the hotel guests out of the room and clean the tables than serving their guests. I had to intervene twice, when a staff member tried to pull the plate from in front of me, which I was visibly still eating from. Very strange. Some serious training necessary.
Breakfast room disappointing.
Great location, good breakfast
Mattresses vary from room to room. Some are too hard, some too soft and lumpy.
Fresh baked cookies on check-in, lovely pool, clean room, fridge and microwave in room.
Pool Location Clean
Breakfast quality, dark Breakfast room, No bar
Continental breakfast was good.
Bed, pillows, blankets weren't too comfortable. Toilet needed repaired.
We were really impressed with our spacious room, it was very clean and we had a huge comfortable bed. Bathroom was small but clean with lots of towels and toiletries. We were roomed next to a noisey family who kept waking us up but that was no fault of the hotel. Excellent value for money, cooked breakfast was included in our rate and the outdoor swimming pool was a welcome treat to cool off in after a hot day. Location was great too for walking to the shops.
