Small, clean , quiet ,inexpensive, good breakfast, good location. Microwave and refrigerator in room. This hotel suited our needs perfectly. We will stay again!
This is superficial, but the pictures on the wall in 106 were outdated. I think if you put something more contemporary up it would change the feel of the room, just like the flowers out side really cheer it up.
clean, comfortable, accommodating
The room was clean and the staff was helpful and friendly.
great breakfast walking distance of port friendly staff
my room seemed clean and it was easy to access at ground level.
bathroom shower moldy sheets would not stay on (they did not fit the bed) mattress lumpy
The price was right for this motel. It was clean even though the bathroom was from the 60's. It was very mid-century modern!
The mattress sunk in the middle and my husband did not sleep well.
very old with dated beds, pillows and bedding. Cleanliness of rug floor covering . No updating whatsoever other than newer microwave and small fridge.
Beds were very comfortable. Room had been well maintained. Great bargain.
We had some unusual circumstances and the staff was wonderful finding a solution.
There was available rooms.
Outdated facilities...needs updating. Poor quality beds. Front desk understaffed. It's a 1970 vintage facility that needs to be brought into the 21st century!!
Heater didn't function correctly went full blast at all levels
location was great, close to town, restaurants and ferry. Being on a road trip it was good to have a motel that you can pull your car right up to your front door. We weren't expecting much so were quite pleased when we arrived. the room was bright , clean and sunny and had everything you need. We probably paid more than you would normally do for such a place, but being high season that's what happens. We had a pleasant 3 night stay there to see Olympic NP.
The green tile
That I had to ask for a room with a couch.
Dog friendly Great Staff! Walking distance to key locations (groceries, restaurants, etc.)
No couch in living area and had to move chairs at table to watch television No television in bedroom Shower was great if you were 5' 6" or shorter (I am 6' 3" and wife is 5' 10") Very expensive considering facilities Breakfast was poor
Great location to leave car and wall to the pier.
Dated (70s) look. Wi-Fi at Quality Inn didn't reach their facility across the street Uptown Inn)
Good location (except for being near the courthose and THOSE CHIMES) Very small room was clean and properly stocked.
Chimes at courthouse ring every half hour. With no A/C we had the windows open and the chimes kept me awake. Otherwise not a bad place. Kind of overpriced. But the bells... No way I'd stay there again.
Location, easy parking, easy access, clean lobby (shared with Quality Inn). Second night booked a room with full size beds- much more comfortable. Breakfast was basic.
Twin beds are just too small for normal size adults. Wi-fi spotty when full.Paid high season rates for a budget motel.
the room was so smelly we decided not to stay there
We were supposed to have 2 double beds, instead it was one double bed. Didn't stay the night there. Traveled for 2.5 hours more instead.
I loved the retro tiles in the bathroom. Bed was very comfortable and the bathroom was very clean. Breakfast was okay.
It was overpriced for the area. The fire alarm is in the bedroom but right by the door to the bathroom. When my husband opened up the door to the bathroom after taking his shower, the steam coming out set off the fire alarm. It took a while to get it to stop. In the meantime I called the front desk for some help. Nobody ever answered the phone. My husband who was still without clothes, finally got the alarm to stop, he was fanning the steam away from the alarm and I was fanning the front door of our room. This was actually pretty funny but very annoying that the hotel management had no response. Nobody ever came to our room or answered our phone call. When we checked out later in the morning, I reported this to the young man at the front desk, he didn't look surprised at all. His response was nil, nothing, zero, zip, in fact, he just stared at me. Definitely not committed to customer satisfaction or safety.
We liked that the room was very spacceous and comfortable. Breakfast was fine as well. The location is really great, overlooking the harbour and downtown which are easily accessible by foot. Thank you!
Unfortunately, we did not have a WiFi signal all over our room. There was just one spot at the door where you really had good reception. For one night on holidays, this is not a problem at all whereas it is quite impossible to work in the room for that reason.
Our room was very old & tired. Stains on carpet & bed blanket. I would not stay in that room again for that price. It was a $99 room but we had to pay $155. I saw some of the other rooms & they've been renovated but ours was not satisfactory.
room needed updating.
The staff was courteous. Breakfast was prepared and delicious. Great healthy choices. Weak coffee. Free USA Today. Clean although old. Close to 101, Safeway, park, and easy to walk to and from.
Being an older place, it would be nice to offer fans to guests. There is no fan/ac and the rooms get hot. One female staff at front desk: criticized 4th of July guests in ear shot of breakfast; bossed around a new trainee when the trainee could have been trained privately about where to place breakfast utensils; and she just needed to "tone"it down. $150 per night is high for an old hotel with no fans. However, my choice to book it. Maybe put single people in the main hotel for safety?
Staff were friendly, helpful, a courteous.
Poor mattress, very small room, and to pay $165.00 for a room worth about $75 woke me up. I'll never depend upon an agency again for booking my room. I'll call until I can talk personally with the hotel, motel or Bed and Breakfast I am considering. Someone is lining their pockets.
