Score from 5 reviews Wonderful
We stayed only one night as we went to a concert at Tanglewood but the place on the whole looked very nice. Too bad our stay was so brief.
the hotel is very neat, well organized and welcoming for families.
Bed was too soft. There was no option to have breakfast at the hotel.
The very relaxing and quiet atmosphere. A perfect escape for a long weekend.
The the sound from the hallways were a bit loud.
Very clean and area very scenic
Check in time is 4pm which made it hard to check in when you have an event early afternoon. We needed to be at a event at 3:30 so we had to wait to check in at midnight and had to be out by 10 am so didn't have much time to get settled, sleep or enjoy the room.
Spacious, clean, lots of amenities, and plenty of activities and food options.
Room was not ready until 5:00
Clean, adequate accommodations. Not a bad price.
Bathroom fixtures were cheap and the toilet handle was broken. We had to manually flush each time we used it by lifting the chain in the tank. Outside doors were not locked or secure.
Suites are large. If you know the area, relatively close to cultural events and outdoor activities. However, must allow time to drive. Not inconvenient, only bear in mind one will be driving on average a minimum of 20-30 minutes to get to an event, etc.. In Winter location is excellent to ski at Jiminy Peak.
Prefer Black-Out curtains for bedroom windows. Check-out rules are unusual.
Spacious room, very reasonable rate.
Slow service checking in.
My roo9m was comfortable
Too far from everything, lousy parking, no restaurant
Our room was spacious and clean and comfortable. Area is very beautiful and close to bike trail. Trail is excellent for rollerblading too. Though restaurants are a bit of a drive they are worth it. We ate in Lenox at Alta and in Pittsfield at Mazzeos (spelling) They had a good gluten free menu.
I would hesitate to recommend it because though we had a good room not everyone does. Also the walls are paper thin but the big problem there is no wifi even though they promise it. It is very spotty.
Affordable for high season in the Berkshires. Beautiful, peaceful setting, perched on the side of the mountain. Was completely unaware of other travelers once I'd entered my suite.
It's a 25-minute drive to anywhere, but that's probably what keeps it affordable and pleasantly away from the madding crowd.
I love the location, the quiet the facilities are clean
The beds were awful. This is my third time staying and it has never been a problem in the past.
Comfort and layout of room.
No free wifi. No coffee supplies in room. Arrived at 4 pm and room still not ready. Location way out..beautiful mountains but not much else. Won't be back.
large and clean
arrived timely for an over night stay. assigned room in summer A C did not work. we were assured that it would be repaired and left for evening Theater show. upon return ( midnight ) nothing had been repaired and room was sweltering. Called front desk and was informed that Air conditioner need a part and was not working. Apparently this had been broken for some time yet wer were assigned the room any way. Company did not contact( company had cell phone contact numbers ) nor offer different room until I protested and desk then suggested that they were giving an up grade to a room with a larger bath but would have to be out at 10 AM. We were forced to endure no air or move at midnight, no offer of assistance to move, and housekeeping rep. arrived before 10 to insure room was being vacated Never again
Value and Comfort. We only stayed one night and in this situation, found this overall to be a nice place to stay and a good value. The location was a good fit for our purpose; the setup provided 2 units, so plenty of space and more features and comfort than we would have found in a standard hotel in the area; (view, balcony, kitchen) and at less cost. Clean and comfortable.
Charging for WiFi.
The late check in (4 pm), the early checkout (10 am) and the worst thing was the bed. It squeaked every time someone moved, so that we didn't get much sleep at all. I emailed the facility to advise them of this problem before they rent the room out again, but have not yet heard back. For the price of $148, we should have at least had a good night's sleep.
proximity to jiminy peak; pool; ot tub; outdoor barbecues
check in staff a little crabby
The suite was amazing large and there was a small kitchen for preparation. It was definitely a family oriented place.
The amount of paperwork to be filled before getting in a room. The beds were old and squeaky. We didn't bring a dog but we were placed in the dog condos. Our son-in-law is allergic to them.
We booked online but still whomever transferred the booking to the resort, most have actually passed along the info I provided, because they placed us and our two young kids right next to the swings (right out our back porch) and across the street from the pool. We only stayed one night as we were traveling on to Vermont, but would,ve happily stayed a few more.
I bought the wifi service (they still do that!?!?!) for $9.99 for the night and it covered only 2 devices and was so slow it was almost unusable. Also, I had to reenter the password every time I returned to my computer. Archaic and a pain in the butt. I'd say either suck up the cost (which is really nothing!) and give wifi for free, or embrace being a completely "unplugged/off the cyberspace grid" vacation place.
Paying for wifi
Nice area ,set up of the accomodations with ample room, well stocked with everything one can use for a wonderful vacation .
Do not feel there should be a fee for wi fi.
Spacious room; very comfortable room; clean bathroom and shower; amenities available at the resort
Pristine cleanliness of the unit ( and no joke cleanliness like the Beverly Hills hotel) Abundance of towels and washcloths Good lighting outside for safety Living room area separate from sleeping area Kitchen facilities if needed
Stale odor in the room even though sign states no smoking, it was there! Bed linens smelled of bleach (explanation for rating of " fair" for comfort) Cleaning staff came to door to clean 40 minutes before check out time. Why leave a gratuity envelope if guests are washing, drying, putting away dishes, stripping beds and removing trash for a one night stay . Just like being at home, certainly not a reprive from household duties for a "getaway ". Noise level from room above wow... elephants?
The view of Jiminy Peak was great.
