Room had anice and cosy atmosphere, spacious
Spa facilities were located far from room buildings, also located right next to reception in a hall where there was no privacy
Our family gets together to enjoy a wonderful weekend away. This was great. The rooms were very clean, bed was comfortable and the pool was so much fun. Would come back next year.
We have been visiting the Berkshires for many years, and have always stayed in Williamstown. However, our usual motel was full, and this turned out to be a blessing because we discovered Vacation Village and spent 4 very enjoyable days there. We hated to leave. The staff were very pleasant to deal with and our room and the amenities of both the accommodation and the resort were great. The room was exceptionally clean and well equipped and the location is beautiful. VV will certainly be our choice for future visits. Thank you for an all too brief visit.
I can think of nothing we didn't like. The written negative comments from other guests are mystifying - lack of wi fi for instance - in such beautiful surroundings who needs it!
The hotel said we could use a jacuzzi, but it turned out that the hotel had no hot water. My kids couldn't even take a shower. The stuff just said hot water is running out, so we needed to wait for 30-60 min to be refilled. But discouragingly, we could never use it till check out.
I liked the setup of the 4 rooms. Logistically, it was designed fairly well.
The mattress in the bed sagged in the middle. I did not get a good night sleep. Also, the mattress was too soft. It should have been a little firmer. I would have preferred a view of the mountains instead of the cars parked in the street. I would have preferred more cable choices. There was not enough cable choices to watch. It would have been nice if there was a complimentary bottle of wine in the room.
The scenery was beautiful.
I did not like that I had to remove the trash and strip the bed linens when leaving. There was no maid service unless you wanted to pay for it. When I am on vacation I don't expect to have to do the same chores that I have at home. I'm on vacation to get away from chores and to be waited on. I expect fresh towels every day and the bed to be made. They impose fines for everything that you don't do. For example, leaving all the linens in and bed sheets in the jacuzzi at the end of the stay. Not taking out the trash is another fine. Next time we visit our daughter in Williamstown, we will stay somewhere where the service in included in the stay. Wifi was $10. Did without. Could hear people walking in the room above us. Fireplace did not work. Switch on lamp beside bed was not working. Had to plug and unplug the lamp to turn it on and off.
superbly furnished and equipped apartments quiet spot great nights sleep excellent value for money pool computer room available
no shop or restaurant on site
Don't nickel and dime me !! Making me have to pay for wifi is not acceptable in this day and age with families that want and need to be connected. Cover the expense or bury it with higher prices! For the most part, our stay was enjoyable.
Liked the space in the unit. The decor was decent and the rooms were clean, even though wallpaper was peeling off in bathroom.
Box spring was incredibly loud and the bed was not really comfortable. Didn't like that we had to strip the bed and take out our own trash.
great location across from Jiminy peak
Our room was clean, comfortable, and spacious. The fireplace made it very romantic. Tasteful decorations and appointments. Felt like a chalet in Bavaria ! Would highly recommend it ! This part of Ma. is so beautiful !
It did not provide restaurant facilities. We did not expect to have to strip the bed and put out rubbish before leaving the facility!
Comfortable accomodations, beautiful mountain views.
We had a water problem in the shower, Maintenance showed up quickly (10:00 PM), turned off our water, promised to return shortly, but never came back to turn on the water, we spent the night without it.
The accomodations were very nice and comfortable for me and my family.
Poor wifi had to pay 10 to get it and didn't work but they refunded the fee! The water shut off for awhile in the whole resort
To pay a lot for wifi that didn't work despite long talk w service provider. Good they took charge off, but lack of wifi was unsatisfactory. An envelope for tips but no service.
I would give it excellent unless
the way the bathroom is built which is too big, its cold and mo privacy since the doors open both to the room and the kitchen, right in front of the exit door.
An extremely spacious, light and bright room. Beautiful scenery everywhere one looked. Lots of large fluffy white towels and spotlessly clean bathrooms. Very comfortable beds. We enjoyed the Jacuzzi bath. Quiet, peaceful surroundings in lovely countryside.
Boiler was rather noisy, including when neighbour was having a Jacuzzi bath. Our suite was on the ground floor and we looked out on an ugly stone wall, upper floors must have a better view. On a 4 week holiday this is the only hotel out of 11 to charge for WiFi. I don't know how well it worked, I went without! For the quality of the accommodation I was not impressed with being asked to remove my own rubbish and strip my owm beds at the end of my stay.
Room size, quality of appointments, friendly staff. Complementary DVD's.
$10 extra per day for wifi service, even in common areas. No restaurant or coffee shop.
clean, large, apartment with everything you need in it. Provides a lot of activities for people who stay more than just one night and want to do things inside the hotel (for those I would recommend this hotel without a doubt, though count in the 10$ per 2 devices per night for wifi)
It's true that I should've noticed it prior to my booking but I didn't and we were disappointed that in this day and age there's still a hotel that charges for wifi usage per night per 2 devices. The "village" part of the hotel has a downside of everything spread out a bit much - it's also not close enough to shopping (15 minutes drive to the nearby gas station supermarket and further to anything more)
spacious accomodations, very clean & well equipped. roomy bath. wonderful pool & spa.
Unable to operate gas fireplace. Living room furniture not all that comfortable. bed pillows could have been more comfortable.
location, indoor pool, game room, am coffee, spacious rooms, movies
10 am check out, room was very clean but a few spots were missed
The rooms were large and comfortable.
Front desk staff could have been friendlier. Having to strip linens off the bed before you check out seems a little petty especially in view of the price of the room.
Proximity to Jiminy Peak & very clean.
Had no need for oven, but no oven in unit-only hot plate.
