The breakfast was ok. The pillows were not flat. They were nice and firm.
The door to the toilet did not close i.e. the latch would not catch and it would be slightly open. No one to come up and unclog the toilet. We had to do it ourselves. Noisey people next door. A call to the office had to be made to quiet them.
booked handicap room on line, but when arrived none available. Management stepped up and gave us a room that was by the pool that made it a whole lot easier for my wife to get to the pool and jacuzzi .This made our stay a lot nicer.
They forgot the wake-up call, it was okay because we were sleeping in anyways.
Parking close to room and close to resturants.
Worst hotel experience I've ever had with my wife. Disgusting dirty rooms tv or remote didn't work. Toilet ran non stop and they would not fix it. Horrible customer service even at corporate
Location is convenient. Rooms are alright.. Absolutely love that I can bring along my pet friends. Also they have decent breakfast
Can not understand for the life of me why any hotel would not let their guests have their own air conditioner and heater! I understand it's a "GREEN THING" but I paid for my room to relax on vacation! It was uncomfortable during the day, especially when I get ready I have to have the A.C. on . and at night it rained and it was so cold it felt like camping.i had to turn on the hot shower & waste water to keep warm! That's not green at all! Stupidest decision this place could make! Cutting off their guests level of comfort & provide a horrible experience with bitterness and regretful memories of this costa mesa vegabond . I will share my experience with all of my friends and anyone who happens to ask my opinion of this vegabond.such a shame because it really has alot of potential. I will never stay here again and because of this experience I will always call ahead to make sure I have control over my own air conditioner and heater. Central air controlled by headquarters to help our environment is so ridiculous. I shouldn't have to be so uncomfortable in my room on my vacation to help the environment! I hate to say it but I hated this place over all!!!
I loved that this motel was in a very convenient location for restaurants and shopping. Everything was within a short walking distance.
I didn't like the price or the size and date of the room. There was too much old bulky furniture which took up a lot of space. The a/c didn't work and the carpet was filthy!
Location, continental breakfast.
Worst bed I have ever slept on. I had a nights sleep camping.
They had a lot of people that looked like they lived there and when a lady died in pool they did not close the pool down immediately after
Well placed for access to Newport Beach and lots of local amenities. Nice clean pool and spa.
One or two sketchy types around including a young man who knocked on my door and asked if I had weed. Mostly felt safe though.
I requested a handicap room, I called the day I booked the room, I was promised a smoking, handicap room, I called the night before to make sure the room was reserved. when I arrived I was told there were NO handicap rooms, I could not go into office, no ramps, I had to fill out paper work in the parking lot, I could not have the free breakfast because I could not enter the lobby. the room had too much furniture, I am in a wheel chair, I could not shower, no bars on the walls, the toilet was too low, there was blood on the wall. I could not get to vending machines, no ramps... the lock fell out of the door, one of the locks was broke, the sheets on the bed had burn holes...
Location that's it...
everything else was fair. Rooms outdated. Tv remote was broke. Alarm clock was from 80'S and did not work. Bed and sheets were horrible. Also some spider problems. Killed two of the spiders.
I needed an economical place to stay while visiting in Costa Mesa for a few days. It was my first stay at a Vagabond Hotel, and I was very satisfied with the Vagabond. Would definitely stay there again.
A continental breakfast was available as advertised, but the selection of food items was limited.
I loved the staff and their diligence in keeping the rooms very clean daily. Towels were always restocked, room AC was very nice and clean lines daily was amazing. Location right off the highway with various stores just minutes away. Overall my stay was very pleasant and I would recommend others to give this Hotel a try.
Location is excellent, close to the beach, to the IKEA and has good access to restaurants! Good priceand very ororganized.
The bed isnt to comfortable, and the shower need some improvements...
Meager breakfast compared to other Vagabond Inns. Facility needs a face lift in rooms. People roaming walkways late at night.
The rooms and staff were very nice and next time were in so. ca we will be staying there again. The price was pretty good as well.
There really wasnt anything we didnt like.
It was convent for me
Wireless internet didn't work
Nice swimming-pool Refrigerator Nice staff and place
Low internet We were near stairs and people were smoking inspite of that near it was sign "No smoking".
Location was good.
Didn't like that the air was not cold or adjustable. Employee said nothing they can do about it. Maybe they should have portable fans
I loved swimming in the warm sparkling water of your lovely pool! I could have stayed there forever!
Not the 'newest' motel, but everything worked. If your room was missing an accessory that other comparable rooms had, they'd accommodate you as best they could.
We were right across the street from a mortuary& a graveyard. We were able to take it in stride, though. ...
I liked the extra little touches! Such as the landscaping and the way they "fancy" fold the towels, t.p. and tissue. Helps with an older hotel.
I didn't like to see little stains on the sheets :( Overall condition of the room was a bit run down...
pool was clean
every thing but the pool
