Old room and beat up exterior
Staff friends and accommodating
Noise of bikers roaring past night and morning! Also not enough staff on duty so check-in very slow as staff had to keep breaking off to answer the phone.
Friendliness of staff
Close to Old Sacramento, easy access to Capitol.
Great location, good value pleasant staff.
To much traffic noise, but to be expected in the middle of the city.
Great Breakfast and Breakfast staff.
Avoid rooms near office on pool side. During breakfast on our stay, staff carted dishes and supplies back and forth over cobblestones using a cart that rattled terribly.
Proximity to train station; extremely comfy bed.
Close to everything, room spacious and clean
Third floor room facing the Amtrak station was a little noisy. Rooms facing the poolside are much quieter.
Good location. Handy to Amtrak trains and to Old Sacramento Town. A comfortable walk back from Sutter's Fort. Always a good hot breakfast.
The rooms closer to the street could be noisy at nights
Very good wifi connection
Pool bottom is dirty. WiFi worked but was slow. The free shuttle driver was great. But they only have one driver for the shuttle. They wanted us to wait 45 minutes to receive a ride back to the hotel. Ended up paying for a cab. :-(
Breakfast buffet is of good quality, it has eggs, bacon, sausage, potatoes, pancakes etc. The location is excellent. Close to multiple restaurants and interesting shops. Hot tub was clean and felt great.
Bathroom had mold needs to be cleaned and painted. room smelled bad, bed very uncomfortable. I had to park my vehicle on opposite side of where we were located. Breakfast was out of eggs, and potatoes were cold. at 8 am. For that price I should have gotten better service and room
Nothing to dislike.
Shuttle service was excellent-picked us up from Amtrak and also drove us to the Avis depot to collect our rental car. Staff were courteous and helpful. Breakfast was good and plentiful.
Front desk staff was helpful and the breakfast was great. Bed was comfy and it was easy to get in and out to visit friends.
Great value and centrally located near downtown and old Sac.
It wasn't a bad experience, necessarily, but being old, the rooms have glass transom windows over the entry doors, allowing outside lighting to flood the room at night. Once we got to sleep, however, we didn't notice it. Bed coverings consisted of a sheet and a down quilt, so we were either really warm or chilly, throwing the quilt on and off during the night. A light blanket would have been fine over the top sheet for the mild weather we experienced in Sacramento.
Vagabond Inn in Old Town Sacramento was a charming area. Old buildings have classic architecture and are well-maintained. The Inn itself is old, but was quiet, bed was comfortable, we had everything we needed. Staff was very accommodating. Breakfast was great. The hotel has the restaurant next door cater the breakfast, so there was a wide variety of food to choose from. It was the best full breakfast we'd had in a hotel on this trip.
The location, room comfort & friendliness of clerk at desk.
Close to freeway. A bit noisy but windows provide a good buffer. Carpet was musty smelling.
Comfy beds, fridge , good morning breakfast.
I had booked the room months ago through booking.com. I booked this hotel because you don't need to pay until you get there. The girl at the desk said no, that does not happen, it is already paid for. I tried to tell her differently, but she wouldn't listen. I was charged the following day which was fine, but it would have been more convenient to have paid when we checked in since we were splitting the bill.
The beds and comforters were so comfortable!!!
Room had a very strong odor that gave me a bad headache & it was full of dust. Furniture had a lot of stains. Breakfast was mediocre. Staff was inefficient.
Very close to my job site.
Everything was good, close to downtown happenings
my room was cold
Need to walk around block to hotel entrance. Very strong chemical smell from cleaners in room. Noisy- by freeway on ramp, earplugs were provided.
Close to Amtrak.
Our room was very noisy, but we were close to a busy road - ask for a room at the rear (there's no view to spoil so don't worry!)
The bed is super comfortable and the bedding was scrupulously clean. It's very handy for old town Sacramento and the railway station
Access into hotel
Proximity to conference center, Old Sacramento, movie theater
Hot Breakfast was cool at 6:30 one morning 1/2 hour after opening
Staff was particularly attentive and pleasant
