the rooms were dingy.. looked like the just fixed it with a new paint job.
Close to convention center & cost was lower than anything else in the area.
When we arrived the air was off and the room was extremely hot the windows were so dirty you could barely see out. The glass in the room was so thin you could hear all the locals arguing in the alley. Beds & pillows were not comfortable. Pool was closed part of the time & did not look inviting anyway. I was glad we did not have to spend much time at the hotel.
excellent location. Reasonable price. Friendly staff. Why pay a lot of money to hang out at the beach?
looks like an older building. Carpet looks fairly new, although the carpet colors and bold patterns seem to clash. Odor in elevator, and walkways even though they say non smoking rooms. Would be nice to have a mini fridge, and microwave in the room. limited parking.
parking was really bad customers had to move other customer cars to beable toget out . while the office ask you to leave your key at desk. al
The custodial staff was friendly and helpful. The location is within walking distance to the harbor attractions. Parking was free but limited.
The desk clerks were rude and made it seem like assisting their guests was a chore. Very poor maintenance of the facility. The toilet paper holder was secured with a rubber band. WiFi network was worthless. The TV system didn't operate without assistance from the staff. HD TV without HD. Very tired property. Better value many other places.
Except for the g@nga smell and yelling in the corridors by the attendents of lasts weekends skating convention :-), quit a comfortable place to stay, nicely close to the beach,
close to Conventoin center
It is very clean, quiet and nice hotel. It is almost downtown Long Beach and 5 minutes walk by the ocean.
The breakfast although is included is very poor and tastes bad.
The place is worn down and is crying for attention from furniture to the bedding materials. Cont. breakfast is not worth your time and no variety.
They were friendly and helpful
The location, the room, the air conditioner did not work well, The sheets were awful. Would not go back.
Within walking distance to everything (beach, shops, etc.).
Not enough parking available
The personality of the staff very cold
I would of rather had a second floor.
Good customer service
Bathroom wasn't too clean. Dirty floors.
The value was great!
It smelled like smoke in the non smoking hallways. The tv turned itself off every hour. The wifi was poor.
Bathroom sink was not draining very old and scary looking room on the third floor. was moved to another room on second floor air conditioner did not work, moved again to another room. Breakfast was mini muffin and coffee
Breakfast, same Geust smoke marihuana and small all holway.
The curtains on the room were really duty big stains and both of the rooms had a weird smell
There's was no parking.every day I had trouble with the cable
It was handy for where I needed
Travel lodge just down road was cheaper and nicer. Internet was rubbish
Close convenient to where we were visiting. Rooms clean, beds comfortable. Nice to have working elevator.
Bathroom in roon 206 needs some TLC tiles on shower surround need to be attached prpoerly so they look good. Bath tub had cracks in the bottom of the tub. Would not use tub or shower in the condition that they look. Could not get the TV to work would turn on but that was all no picture. We arrived very late so didn't want to bother the front desk just did with out the TV.
I liked how close to the beach, harbor, convention center, and many fun places to visit. All within walking distance. For the prices that other hotels in the same area charge some even farther away, you can't compare. Unless you add up what your paying for, like everything!
Why do they advertise a pool? It's twice as cold as the ocean. The entire building should be shut down for safety issues,if not health reasons. The front desk is run by the family, checking in was very easy and friendly,by one of the younger, cool sons. Checking out was a completely different matter,by the father I think. Why would you put up signs everywhere to conserve water by reusing towels, taking short showers, flushing less, and then have a few bottled waters on the table saying hello upon entry to your room. Then when checking out,the man says did you enjoy the water we left in your room? Yes,thank you, that was a nice gesture. Good, that will be 6 dollars. Really! I paid cash up front with no credit card needed to secure the room. They offered a decent continental breakfast both mornings and I had quite a bit of coffee, juice, sweet rolls, and cereal, but you can't afford two bottled waters? Then while I was getting the cash from my wallet, you want to follow me like I was running from a crime scene? Also, the so called buffet across the street was really an Asian karaoke bar that played insanely loud music both nights until 2am. So loud that with the window shut and the tv on,I still felt the beat of the bass. The maid service was pretty good, but the maintenance man,has no business being in business. The shower head was the worst I've ever seen, the water stunk like sulfur and you felt like you needed to take a shower after you took a shower,to clean off the stink. The caulk line in the tub/shower was redone by a child,so many times that it seemed to be a two inch wide one inch deep mixture of mold and caulk that was almost living. And his answer to cleanliness seemed to be "LYSOL". After my first trek up the ancient staircase that felt like I might not make it up to the top of,I found an elevator that was as slow as dirt, and in need of repair.
