Motel-like place with hotel quality, that makes you feel comfortable and relaxed. Best donuts in the morning as part of take away basic but very good breakfast, friendly people and good location for both people traveling by car and those who use public transportation (not far from metro station)! Swimming pool optional...
Convenience to USC was good -- only 10' walk to campus. Price was also good, although you get what you pay for.
Room was very dated, although one of the cleanest bathrooms I've seen (high or low priced!). Furnishings were basic but functional (non-upholstered chair). Breakfast was meh, few choices, paper bowls, no plates, no protein, no fruit. I asked for a late checkout and then had the keycard deactivated at the original checkout time (housecleaner let me into the room without any questions however). AC very noisy.
Room is clean, fit for business travel, close to USC, location is great,
Breakfast can be improved if more seats for guests,
Listen this isn't the Ritz and we're here for medical reason. After staying at a couple of other places, we just found the value impossible to beat. Clean, comfy, convenient, close, friendly front desk.
Hmmmmmmmmm got me here!
good location, very central. good parking, friendly staff. clean and very good room service every day. nearby restaurants and eateries, gas station., pharmacy and grocery store. all in walking distance. main room has had a good size with proper table. plenty of storage room.
air conditioning unit way too noisy. hard to sleep with at night but needed it going through the night. poor breakfast variety. not very healthy options. "kitchen- area" within the bathroom area- not really practical
Ease of checking in, pleasant staff. We stay there on regular bases. Like the location for walking to major shopping, fast food or dine-in.
Location Strong Air Conditioning Free Parking Friendly Staff
Continental Breakfast Selection Price
Close to USC campus. Relatively inexpensive. Comfortable bed. Reliable, if not speedy, WiFi. Staff was helpful. Juice and toast for breakfast.
No exhaust fan in bathroom means mildew that had not been cleaned. Very noisy air conditioner - can open windows, but then street noise. Damaged table was losing a leg.
Close vicinity to USC
Location was close to where we needed to be.
Continental breakfast was weak and poorly located, very crowded trying to maneuver in such a tight space.
We go to usc for seminars, sometimes we bring staff,..this is a great spot. --Front desk and maids are great, we've never encountered the slightest hint of rudeness like in other hotels. --Wifi and ac are reliable, our rooms are always clean and nice, and parking is easy and near our rooms
1. What's with the rental moving trucks in the parking lot? I hope this was a one-time thing, and not a new permanent feature of your hotel. 2. please don't have our keys expire before our leave date,..fix this! It happens EVERY time we stay here
Power failure Thurs 26 June
Clean, comfy, big pool and walking distance to all kinds of food Nice bed.
TV could be newer model, but worked well, so nothing really.
very nice front desk! I noticed that right away,..since it's usual to get rude or indifferent or stoned staff when you arrive at midnight, like we always do, I really appreciate that the ladies here always seem genuinely glad that we're checking in. OK, I'm easy to please,..but after a 6 hour drive it's nice to feel you're not waking some cranky hungover dude up and you're wrecking his beauty sleep by doing so. Easy, reliable parking so close to the campus is this place's secret killer app! Pleasant stroll to USC campus in the time it takes to slurp your coffee. lots of AC outlets. locking bathroom door. good WIFI, and AC with remote fresh bagels, decent coffee clean room, bed is actually super comfortable. No leaves in pool,..I swam here last time and the water was clean.
This place needs a beach shuttle bus,..the parking at the beaches is outrageously expensive--IF you can find it! I also would like an espresso machine in the lobby, like they have at some Embassy Suites. In our room 224 the toilet sometimes has a water hissing sound, like it's trying to decide if it wants to flush itself,..you can't hear it if you shut the bathroom door but I worried it might be wasting water in the long run. I don't think our bathroom has a powered vent fan,..if it did I never found the switch. Last time we came (may2014) I noticed a water spigot sticking up out of the grass near 224, and made a mental note not to break toe by tripping over it,..I'm not sure if that's still there.
I felt as if I was bothering the receptionist when I checked in, because she seemed to be too busy chatting with the guy, who apparently was on his own (but not as an employee of this motel) duty. She did not give an instruction about the location of our room, neither about the continental breakfast they provide each morning. I thought I had to go grocery shopping as I could not find a coffee maker in the room.
Close proximity to everything I needed.
I liked the pool, comfort of the bed & the selection of channels.
The price. I was eligible for a 10% discount, but couldnt get it because I booked through booking.com
I liked the location of the hotel! It was walking distance to the place i was going to.
They allow to check-in early. This is wonderful. The location and services is good
The employees don't know the hotel rules. One said that I could checkout before the time foreseen, another said that I must checkout early even I paid for the room. This hazard my plans in the city. They must communicate the rules for the clients and employees clearly.
Location is excellent for USC, there is free parking, and there are many restaurants, grocery, pharmacy, etc. in area. Large swimming pool. Comfortable bed.
AC worked well, but it would be nice if it was a bit quieter. Coffee, juice and donut in the morning are OK, but need to be taken elsewhere because there's no room in the lobby.
Very convenient to USC
little noisy at night from cars just turned on a/c
I liked that it was walking Distance to my location I needed to Get to
I didn't like how the walls are paper thin and you can hear the neighbors partying until 1am. Non smoking room reeked like cigarettes. And Only two towels for 3 People ?! Thanks!
Good value (for LA) at $99/night; not new but very clean; very handy to USC, with many nearby places to eat
noisy AC with some stale smell -- would be irritating in summer when it would need to run a lot; minimal breakfast or space for it
Having direct access from the room to the pool.
The breakfast included is not really a breakfast, just some coffee and some bread and butter.
