Close to the beach and shops. Super nice staff. The pool was awesome. Value for the stay couldn't be beat! We could not have had a better experience and have recommended to others!
Very clean room, comfortable beds, great pool area. Staff was very helpful. I highly recommend this hotel.
Tv didn't work, I talk to front desk but wasn't very helpful . I heard the people in the next room talking all night I gue walls r very thin.
The king bed n pillows were great, very clean. The restaurant was super, best breakfast I had in a while, food was healthy, delicious n people was very attentive.
Room was dirty. Brochure said rooms were carpeted, but according to staff the carpets were ripped out because they were old!. This meant we were walking on the old Terrazo flooring. Mold growing in the bathrooms, loose taps in the bathroom, blocked toilet & overall dirty!Biggest problem is they leave the outside lights on all night which means all rooms get light filtering through the wooden blinds - Trust me they are bright!!!!
The pool area was very safe and secure. Parking was good and gave excellent access to the room from my car.
The room was not cleaned very well. The floor would turn our feet black. There were many times that there were no towels for the pool.
Location is close to downtown Venice.
Location and the rooms all looked out to pool area.
Booked for 4 nights and on the 4 day late in the afternoon, was told we were only booked for three. Was asked to leave, even after asking if another room was available. Was given 5 minutes to get our things out of room. Management was very "short" with us with other customers in the office. Also even though we had a coffee pot, microwave, sink, refrigerator and dishes, there was no silverware and was told it was not a kitchen.
Bed was fairly comfortable, pool area was nice.
Cock roach in my room. High smelling odor of cleaning chemical gave me allergies. Room was dusty
There was no breakfast included in price. Although this may seem like a disadvantage, it really wasn't. There is a separate but attached restaurant called the Blu Bistro which serves delicious and reasonably priced breakfasts & lunches. I preferred this to the generic breakfasts provided by most hotels. I guess there wasn't much to not like.
I liked the retro, quaint, private atmosphere. Although the room looked like it was from the 50s, it was surprisingly clean and comfortable and a nice change from the "same old", "same old" generic hotel rooms. I really liked the K-cups for my morning coffee instead of those mini coffee pots that other hotels use. They even supplied us with as much coffee & cappucchino as we wanted. The courtyard was nice, the pool was heated and clean, the employees were very friendly and helpful.
The bathroom was full of mold, no hand railing of any kind, no shelving to put bathroom items. The bathroom was not cleaned once during my visit.
Nothing, could hardly wait to check out.
Traveled with my fiancee to venice for her birthday. The hotel was was only minutes from the beach and nicely priced. The inner pool and game area is very nice though we didn't spend much time there. The room was very clean and had no problems except the bed was a little squeaky. The staff was nice and everything was easy. This was the least expensive hotel we could find and it was above our expectations. the proximity to all the beaches is easily the best aspect. 5 min from 4 beach parks and the pier.
The outside light shined into the room all night.
Clean, comfortable bed, large room.
It is like out of the 50's but berry well kept!I would stay again.
doors leading to outside courtyard
I didnt like that i had to defrost fridge. before it would get cold and then clean up the water. Also thte hot water handle in bathroom kept falling off and I got charged 2 times for our room and a extra day for my daughters room and my sister and aunts room . It was all refunded except 1 day why i dont know i got tired of dealing with it and was getting ready to go on Honeymoon .The staff was hard to locate when you needed them the only thing that really upset me was we was there to get married on the beach and then was going on our honeymoon from there we are a hard working couple and we had to worry about funds due to being over charged and it took a week for it to be fixed . I think they should be more careful with other peoples money and when charging the cards .
I liked the large rooms and they was clean .
Our room was near the pool and the lights around the pool were so bright that the blinds on the doors didn't keep the light out... it felt like it was daylight in the room all night.
Was impressed by the cleanliness of the room despite its age. We didn't use the pool or outside area but it was nicely landscaped and inviting.
Service with smile !!!
Nothing to dislike.
The hotel is on one storey around a neat central courtyard with a swimming pool, tropical plants and trees. You park outside your own front door, you feel like you're in your own place. The rooms are clean and spacious, our King bed was vast. This is a very laid back and friendly place with very nice helpful staff. Don't expect room posh hotel room service it is not set up that way, you get daily maid service but otherwise you do your own thing. Venice is a beautiful area of Florida and there is a lot to see and do. The restaurant attached, the Blue Island Bistro is the No.1 best rated place to eat in Venice, an easy going place, open all day from early during the week, great food great value and really great staff. There are plenty of other nearby places to eat in the evenings during the week. At the Weekend the Blue Island Bistro serves chef prepared evening dinners with a different atmosphere, book up for that experience, it's a must do!
Unfortunately the street door had been damaged and we had to shut it from inside the room and then walk right round to get to the car. This was improved by the end of our stay.
The new method of bed covering are a great improvement .Nice and comfortable .We have visits now four years in a row and will do so again if able.
Dirty floor in room...needed moped not just swept.
Location, pool, people, mature couples...not a bunch of screaming kiddos.
The room had wto entrance/exits both which were french doors and did not promote a feeling of security. The outside lights were very bright and the blinds on the french doors did little to prevent the light from filtering into the room. It remained considerably brighter than was comfortable for sleeping.
Changed to a room with a comfy chair, more relaxing.
