comfortable bed in great location
nothing comes to mind
I loved being able to access all of the restaurants, bars and shops. Bike rental at J's Rentals is discounted for staying here and is only two blocks away! Hotel staff will arrange taxi service for anytime of day and are friendly folks.
Exciting location. Charm. Laid back.
The only thing i did not enjoy was the mattress. Dear manager: invest in this!
Location, Location, location Staff - Matt was great If you want to be in all the action and really experience Venice Beach I would recommend this spot. If you have little kids or are looking for a more Ritz-Carlton type experience, this isn't the spot. My son and I loved it. I watched people, relaxed, ran the beach and had some cold beer and he skateboarded.
Construction going on when we were there
View of the ocean
Absence of kettle
Such a cute place to stay. Great location and the staff was awesome! Def gonna stay again!
Staff were super-friendly and helpful (thanks for the late check-out guys!), you really feel it's a local business with people that care about the place. Listen to their advice on what to do and where to go, really useful. Location is amazing, right where everything is happening. You can get around on foot and definitely should rent a bike and take the trip along the beach to Santa Monica and further north. And they have a real 100-year-old elevator that actually works! I will definitely go there again.
I should have stayed longer:(
Great location Fantastic staff Brilliant weather
Hard bed Noisy outside late at night & early morning The neighbours blazing orange sodium security light coming on & off all night was annoying Just a note that the property is having a fair bit renovation which is great but probably should have been advised on booking.
I liked being on the boardwalk, the hotel room was clean and smelled good.
I didn't like all the street people. We had to sleep with the window open and we heard all the crazy people all night. Also had to pay 60 for unsecure parking.
Staff was very helpful and friendly
Sometimes it took a long time before to get warm water, but once you know, you just open the water earlier, at the end there was always warm water
Million dollar view
Major ongoing construction- this should be posted on Booking !!! Noise all night long from the drunks on the strand. Super dirty, original bedding from the 50's !! maybe washed/maybe not, better bring your own- I slept in my cloths. I didn't ask the manager but there seemingly was no heat so the room was freezing. The builders knocked a whole in the ceiling while I was in the room and all the debris fell into the room- wow!! The parking is down the street but not that bad for me as everyone said, The whole building, room, floor, entrance, stairway, et al is just filthy. Actually the room has great potential but the way they are remodeling it is a shame, it could have been so nice. Basically it is a 50 dollar dive with a great view
Great service very friendly Personal
In town for the Rose Bowl and elected to stay away from Pasadena. Venice Beach and this establishment were perfect
Location and friendly staff
Noise from people outside during late evening
Wonderful rooms with small kitchens, firm bed and view of the ocean. Not opulent nor expected to be. Wood floors allow easy clean up of the sand that migrates in. They are undergoing some needed roof and facade work so you may hear the workmen for a few more months. I would return again in a heartbeat.
The location can't be topped for beachfront people watching and kitchy fun. Plenty to see and do. This hotel is in the heart of the action, and has a lot of charm. It can be reached from the airport by public transportation quite easily for a buck and a half.
Some restoration work was going on, and it was noisy from construction during daytime hours. The counter-culture surroundings and homeless camps may be unsettling to some visitors, but it offers a laid back feel that nearby Santa Monica doesn't share.
The staff we very helpful. Having a kitchen was fantastic! The location was great!
The bed was a little uncomfortable
The hotel was so cute and quirky. Had fantastic exposed brick walls in the room, a great kitchenette and a fab view looking over the beach. Matt at the desk was such a lovely charming person to welcome us.
This isn't a reflection of the hotel but I don't think I'd stay in that area again. We arrived quite late and Venice beach at night didn't feel very safe.
The hotel was very clean. Price was great for location. The room was a decent size for the hotel.
We were not notified about building construction prior to booking or at any point until we got there. Takes 10 plus minutes to get hot water prior to that it runs cold which seems like a waste.
Hot water temperature was unstable.
Very friendly, knowledgeable and helpful staff. Central location on Venice beach, clean rooms with kitchen facilities and plenty of space. Good WiFi and
Reception is 9-9, so it's not perfect if you're arriving late.
The hotel was charming and obviously going through some renovations. The historical elevator was also neat to see.
Our room needed a new bed and nice bedding. That would make a world of difference. Cleanliness was there but a welcoming bed will always add extra dollars to your visit.
Location is great, right on the beach and Boardwalk. Staff really friendly and helpfu.
Room was a bit tired, poor quality bed and linen. My ocean front suite view was blocked by scaffolding and a tarpaulin. I woke to a workman looking in the window and spent the morning with blinds closed and no view. Disappointing they didn't say anything about the renovations at time of booking. It was expensive and not good value for the money.
The staff at Venice Beach Suites & Hotel made our experience amazing. They were so accommodating, friendly and went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable. I cannot recommend the service here enough, I would definitely come back!
Great location on beachfront. Use of umbrellas, beach balls etc. Rooms bright and airy. Helpful staff. Very chilled out, venice beach vibe. We loved it!
Could do with a bigger mirror. Only a small 1 in bathroom that was to high up for me to see. A minor thing though, I would definitely stay here again.
