The staff at Venice Beach Suites & Hotel made our experience amazing. They were so accommodating, friendly and went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable. I cannot recommend the service here enough, I would definitely come back!
Great location on beachfront. Use of umbrellas, beach balls etc. Rooms bright and airy. Helpful staff. Very chilled out, venice beach vibe. We loved it!
Could do with a bigger mirror. Only a small 1 in bathroom that was to high up for me to see. A minor thing though, I would definitely stay here again.
Location location location. Matt is without a dough the best hotel manager I have ever seen.
Great room and staff
So many homeless and scary people, so sad
Proximity to beach and other locations. Staff very helpful.
No air conditioning which made sleeping uncomfortable
Very clean and comfortable, nice sized rooms and an amazing view. Perfect during the week when the crowd is smaller and you just want to relax.
Except for the Brazilian drum circle waking me up in the morning on Saturday, it was close to perfect.
The fellows in the office were so friendly and helpful, couldn't have asked for nicer people to deal with. The rooms were cosy and clean. The sunset views were to die for. Proximity to the beach, boardwalk and everything that we wanted was nearby. Loved the people watching and experiencing differing cultures and laid back lifestyle. Was everything we wanted.
The manager Mat. He was more than helpful and friendly.
Great staff and in such a good location. 10/10 would stay again.
Right on the beach, beautiful view, very quirky neighbourhood. The bedroom was a good size, and the lift was something to behold, right out of the 30ies!
The hotel is getting a bit old, could with a bit of a mark over, pokey bathroom.
location, on the beach, room, view, use of beach gear and boggy boards, staff
parking, noise, vagrants
room was light and airy
difficult because there was absolutely no parking in the vicinity of the hotel.
Location can not be beat. You literally walk out the front door and your on the beach. Matt (manager) is a great guy and gave me loads of great advice on the local area and things to do. I highly recommend renting a bike for the day and cycling to Santa Monica or down to Manhattan beach.
Very comfy self-appointed room very near to the beach; great for preparing eats at home if you do not feel like going out to eat. Good storage space for travellers... nice 1920-style decor as was the architecture around. Good transportation links to places like Bergamot Station and Santa Monica. Buzzing with a beach-park-market vibe.
More things outside the hotel's control e.g. early morning noise, perpetual smell of grass, "seedy" inspired boardwalk merchandise (usually low quality) and grafitti, although some were interesting. Some nearby eateries of questionable quality (just need to be choosy :))
Really in the middle of everything. Super nice staff, especially Jasper.
Since it's where all the action is, it's so noisy. Also a minus for no aircondition.
The spirit, old and nice place.
Dangerous neighborhood, poor facilities, overrated hotel and location.
- staff was super friendly - you are in the middle of everything on Venice Beach - our room with ocean views was amazing - you get your own kitchen in the room - historic, old and charming hotel - free wifi - free surf boards and sun beach umbrellas
- it is not cheap, but nothing in California is cheap
Great location and size of rooms. Close to all facilities! Easy access to Santa Monica.
The number of homeless people! Very sad though they are harmless and not confrontational.
The management and staff were really fantastic and helpful and did everything to make our stay perfect. Including tips and what to do in the area, and how best to get around LA. They were just perfect
The staff were wonderful and helpful. The hotel is right on the beach and broadwalk.
No complaints. I would have moved in for good if I could have.
Staff are wonderful. Location is central. If you want weird Venice - then stay here.
Venice is weird - suggest, for normal people, staying at Santa Monica and visiting Venice for a few hours. It is only a 25 mins walk between the 2 places. Venice also has a lot of homeless - which is sad.
The hotel was located right on the beach at Venice and within easy driving distance of most of the sights.
The hotel was located in an area where there is a lot of crime and people were roaming the streets all night. However we were not troubled whilst staying at the hotel.
Staff was great. The hotel was very nice, clean and had a great location.
Location for people watching can't be beat. Staff was friendly and willing to give local tips and called us a cab.
Security. I wanted more than a deadbolt on my door. Wifi didn't feel secure so I didn't use it.
