Viola! The receptionist was super, and was ready to help all the time. The location is unbeatable, and the rooms, while simple, were perfect for a "beach" hotel.
The weather ! It was wet!
Great location, friendly and helpful staff. Good breakfast too
Service was excellent with lovely, helpful staff. On departure I complained about noise levels in room & front desk kindly refunded parking fees - very nice, but not enough to counteract the general disappointment in room/hotel. Lovely location right on beach.
Very noisy. It was like the people upstairs were in our room - could hear everything for footfalls on floorboards to phone vibrating, hair dryer & actual conversation. Water in drain pipes was also very noisy. Website said free parking (first come first served), but was $15 per night otherwise faced tow charges. Floors were dirty. Sofa bed linen was not prepared despite written request - we had to put slips on pillows & duvet cover on duvet ourselves. Not what one expects in a full service hotel. Kitchen was not very clean; chipboard inside cupboards was unlined/finished with stains etc. Very poorly furnished in lounge area. Old 2 seat sofa only, no arm chairs even though plenty of space. The sofa was also sofa bed, with poor mattress. Shutters on sliding doors very hard to open & close. Unfinished wall repairs in bedroom. Poor water pressure in shower.
closeness to beach, great place to people and dog watch ,staff down to earth and really helpful. Good vibe the whole time we were there.Highly recommend.
Great friendly staff and excellent location.
Room was a bit small and there was no wardrobe
Fabulous spacious suite, excellent top floor deck that is great for sunset/sunrise viewing & breakfast. Simple breakfast. wonderful staff, Maria couldn't do enough for us... would recommend Venice on the Beach for a wonderful stay!
couldn't fault a thing!
The location and the private entry and balcony. Beds were pretty comfortable. Management was very nice, especially Maria.
This is just a little thing but the one maid who was in charge of the breakfast was not very friendly. I asked her if there was a microwave to heat up the coffee because it was not hot. She told me when the coffee was all gone she would make more. Not the thing to say to a guest. She should have said "I'm sorry I will make a fresh pot right now." She seemed to have a chip on her shoulder and I really avoided asking her for anything.
Position on Venice Beach, helpful staff, large shower.
Not much room for 2 people
The hotel has two entrances and we arrived at the one not on the beach, and we were welcomed by a lady who was very polite and affable. After dumping our bags in our room and a quick freshening up, we ventured out the other entrance and that was when we saw...BEACH! It was easy walking distance to most of central venice beach attractions, and the roof top terrace was an amazing place in the late night or early morning for listening to the ocean or watching the surfers there at daybreak.
Sorry but not keen on the continental breakfast and the WiFi was too week to use with an iPad in our room.
The staff was very kind and attentive. The view of the ocean is perfect and the vibe on the boardwalk is always so great. I enjoyed walking out of my room at 9 am to smoke and watching a group of people dance on the boardwalk in front of my hotel.
The room I stayed in was extremely small, but it wasn't the end of the world. The parking situation wasn't great, either. Only about 8 parking spots for all guests. So definitely call ahead and book a parking spot.
Love this place
The fact it was small and on the beach
Maria and staff made us feel very welcomed. Highly recommend this beach hotel! Rooftop terrence and awesome complementary breakfast made for great romantic morning with an ocean view.
Bed not great for adult fun. So noisy neighbors ask us to keep it down on Valentine's? Maybe they were jealous?
I enjoyed the large one bedroom suite and the roof top patio.
Wish they had a iPod or iPhone player to listen to music. Instead a am fm clock radio.
The location , beach in front of the hotel. Nice service . And the rooms where clean and neat. 5++
We loved the comfort of the bed, the helpfulness of the staff, the cleanliness of the room, and the proximity to the beach.
The room is a bit small, but now I'm just nit-picking.
The location is tremendous. The hotel is older but very clean.
Some maintenance issues for the bathroom and shower. The rooms are small.
The staff are very vey helpful and the location is the best
Room is small But is perfect
Staff was super friendly and very helpful. The locations was great. Walk out the front door and you are on the beach. The rooms and common areas were all clean and well maintained.
Bed for the kids was a pull out sofa. Not the most comfortable but got the job done.
Location is just perfect. If you like to stay at the beach only, this is a perfect place.
Low Class Hotel, but extremly expensive due to the location. If you are visiting other places, choose another hotel somewhere else and visit Venice and the beach during the day. You will (most likely) get much higer comfort at this price. We had two rooms. Double Room was very small copared to us standard hotel rooms. The suite comes with a kitchen which is pretty old. We only used the fridge. Shower, toilet, towels and linen/sheets dirty and old.
The location and ambience. A great place for a layover during long haul flights - much better than staying near LAX where you need to hire a car to do anything
