Lovely staff, absolutely stunning location, wonderful service, beautiful rooms with every detail taken care of, wonderful bed and bathroom, gorgeous pool and japanese baths, incredible grounds - cannot fault this wonderful place

The environs are spectacular & the resort blends well into the surroundings. Peaceful & respectful of the ethos of Big Sur.

Limited eating options locally, hence can be expensive

Die Zimmer sind sehr geschmackvoll. Die gesamte Anlage sehr bedacht und liebevoll angelegt. Die Umgebung und der Ausblick Erholung pur. Die Bäder sehr schön.

Sowohl das Essen im Restaurant als auch das Service stehen in KEINER Relation zu den dort verlangten Preisen und es passt auch leider nicht in das sonst sehr hohe Niveau. Gar nicht. Ärgerlich so eine Abzocke.

Verhältnismässig kleiner Betrieb (60 Zimmer / Suiten). Sehr ruhige Lage, phantastische Erholungsmöglichkeit. Sehr gute Küche im Restaurant at Ventana.

es gibt keine Tageskarte im Restaurant! Falls man mehrmals dort speist, wechselt das Angebot nicht - schade, denn das Essen ist hervorragend!

wonderful room with fireplace with a patio overlooking the woods. We enjoyed the Japanese bathhouse and the walk around the property although the walk was too fast to really enjoy the experience of being in the woods.

The food service needs improvement. We had an disappointing dinner with an almost tasteless porkbelly. Sea bass was not interesting ebnough. Based on this we didn't return to the dining room and ate at other restaurants which were wonderful. Thought the breakfast was pretty slim for the prices being charged. The home made granola was excellent. Coffee seemed ordinary.
