Courteous and up beat staff with a good knowledge of how to keep a place unspoiled and quiet in this rushabout whirled(sic)
The location, the rooms, the restaurant terrace, the respect of the environment, the quality of the staff.
NOthing really.. great place to come back.. a little expensive but the location is unique..
The setting is truly magnificent. Big Sur is unmatched. The resort was beautiful, quiet, restful and serene. The grounds are impeccably kept. The walk from my room to the restaurant was a gorgeous 10 minute walk through the woods, on a beautiful trail. I saw 5 deer in that 10 minutes. There are lots of quiet, secluded places to sit and look out over the area. Love, love, love it. Can't wait to return.
The only thing I regret is not being allowed to bring my kids there...
The in room service is not efficient enough for this kind of great place. It needs to be improved.
We loved everything, especially the friendly staff and beautiful surrounding but above all loved the new friends we made at wine and cheese hour.
The room and the location were beautiful. I liked that the guests could be shuttled from their room to the Ventana Restaurant and other restaurants in the area. The staff was very helpful and polite.
Although all features of the Ventana Inn & Spa were wonderful, the $700 per night cost was a bit high. I don't think it was worth that kind of money. I know that most of my friends and acquaintances could never afford it and because of the high fee, it will probably be a long time before I am able to stay at the Ventana Inn again.
Being made to feel special. Being able to totally relax. Perfect setting and incredible location.
Not cheap, but worth it.
Our room, the included breakfast, the staff, the quiet location in the hills.
I didn't know how to work the jacuzzi tub controls and no info.
The location and the mystique of Big Sur.......
The Inn is resting on its laurels. We went because we had Ben 22 years earlier. The service was cursory for the price and whilst all guests are seeking tranquility, the staff appear to adopt an equally laid-back approach.. .... "You can't park there you'll have to move it"... "Sorry the Pinot is finished".... Get real dinner B&B is 1500 bucks a night. I am afraid we have stayed in many boutique lodges that exude comfort and grace but which provide much better attention to client needs.
Peace, quiet, beautiful surroundings, lots of nature and lots of relaxation.
Staff and level of service that went above and beyond, like nothing we have experienced before. Stunning property and gardens, secluded and intimate. It was a stay to remember, and to relish. I hope only to go back one day.
That I can't return soon enough.
Everything - this is a beautiful resort to escape from the world for a few days.
Loved the whole experience
Noisey air conditioning
It was a beautiful stay. The only provement would be to increase the wine reception from 1 hour to at least 2 hours. It is a beautiful display of cheeses, crackers, humus, etc for such a short time.
Too short wine reception.
Views for restaurant and wait staff
Charging for coffee in the room. Really? Including fire charge in room automatically unless delcined. Cheap business decisions bed was not comfortable
Staff - helpful, polite, pleasant and happy. Shuttle service-great! Grounds - great views, well-designed trails and paths, helpful signs for the plants and trees, Food - dinner was great...much better than at POST RANCH. Room - comfortable enough. Toiletries - sparse. Bed - very comfortable...pillows too soft. Snacks in the afternoon - wine and cheese available.
Facilities and staff were amazing
The comfort and quality of the room and its features, including the fireplace. The late afternoon reception was generous in items served and in food quality.
At check-in, we sat and waited while our receptionist stayed engaged on a phone call that came in after we arrived and begun registration.
Amazing location, of course. The breakfast buffet was among the best I have every had.
Fabulous views and serenity.
Long way to the restaurant.
everything except the restaurant. unfortunately didnt try the spa.
not really value for money. i can pay for same service for less. i dont like the restaurant trying to make you pay more. if i didnt ask if they serve burger they only give you a menu with 1 choice - $70/pp+tax , and they dont tell you where to get complimentary breakfast (which is hidden in the ground floor) they only give you a breakfast menu which you have to pay for. i dont mind to pay more if i want to order food from menu but please dont try to hide and tempt your guest to pay more when it seems they dont have choice. it makes us a bit uncomfortable having food there. not impressed with this point.
Everything is perfection ! Pristine forest , facilities excellent maintenance. Staff helpful, congenial. Rooms and beds heavenly. Linens and bedding very high quality
Everything. Quiet restful yet adventurous if you wanted to hike
We loved everything. The price is ridiculously high.
A beautiful, relaxing location. A special place and we would definitely return to take another weekend break after a busy week.
What a magical place. I will be back! Thank you!
