Air Conditioning not adjustable and room was far too hot. Room looked a bit shabby
We had a room without a window
The air conditioner was either on full blast or off- no controls Concerned this would be the same for heat controls other times if the year
Good Location and friendly staff.
Absence of tea/ coffee facility in the room.
no coffee maker
Location/proximity to Union Square, cleanliness, friendly staff, soft comfortable bed, price/rate of room
Thin walls and doors...I could hear creaking of footsteps outside in the hallway, and noise next to my room.
The staff was very helpful with car arrangements & directions. Need to have small refrig fr rental for people who are diabetics traveling with insulin & other meds that need refrig or special dietary needs , also a small coffee pot in rm would have been so much better then having to go to the lobby every time u wanted a cup
The view from my window! A fire escape ugh
The rooms were clean and comfortable. Everything seemed pretty new.
My husband plugged his breathing machine into the outlet on his side of the bed but woke during the middle of the night to discover the outlet had stopped working. We had to move everything to the other side so he could get power. It was a bit disconcerting. Didn't care for the fact that there were no windows in the room.
-free bottled water -good location (easy access to subway at Union Square) -clean rooms with private bathroom -spacious room (compared to most NYC hotel rooms I've stayed in) -luggage storage service -friendly staff
-the fact that without the deal I got, the room would have been $350 per night
The hotel manager BJ was very helpful at giving us directions and navigating our way through the subway system and the staff was friendly and accomadating. The hotel was a great value and very comfortable. Bed was extremely comfortable. I will recommend.
Very quiet, staff was very friendly and helpful, room was really large (they upgraded us to family suite which had a separate second bedroom) and very nicely decorated. Clean. Really nice little boutique hotel.
Although when we booked, the website said "views of NYC", we actually looked out at a brick wall (however, this could be because they changed our room--and actually the bigger room was worth giving up the view) Also, a little thing, hated the sink in the bathroom. It was impossible to wash your face or anything without splashing all over the place.
clean, comfortable and quiet. Large for NYC standards
the bed frame sticks out from under the bed. Bumped my shins a couple of times.
Windows opened. Great location. Comfortable bed
Shower was small
There wasn't an iron in the room
Well appointed and comfortable rooms. Brilliant location! It would not be New York without the low rumble of the subway - a lasting memory...
The bed's wooden surround... my husband cut his leg on the sharp corner!
Great location, close to Union Square and Flatiron Building, close to subway and cafes/ restaurants. Very friendly and helpful staff.
The staff was incredibly kind and helpful. The rooms were a great size and loved having Bran Joo accessible through the lobby. Overall an excellent experience.
staff was friendly, coffee was good and I would stay there again.
The room was clean when we arrived and the staff cleaned and changed the sheets and towels every day.The cleaners did a great job given there were four of us including two teenage girls in a small room! The water was hot and plentiful. The staff were polite and helpful. The position of the hotel was great for getting about. The beds were comfortable. There was hot water, tea bags, coffee and milk in reception. A good hair drier in the room. Wi-Fi worked well.
The only real criticism was the bed structure! The bed base was hard wood and projected beyond the mattress. My friend and I ended up with very obvious large tender bumps and bruises on our lower shins. If the room had been more spacious it probably wouldn't have been such a problem but with four people we could barely find room for our bags (a small suitcase each) The cupboard had hanging space for 5 hangers only, and there were no drawers so you had to live out of a suitcase. There could have been some other cosmetic improvements / updates. Our bedside light didn't seem to work which was a bit annoying
The location, staff, bar in hotel was nice. The bed was very comfortable and because the room had a window but no view it was very dark which was excellent for a good night's sleep. Also the hotel was very quiet.
The shower was practically nonexistent. Also where the hot water comes out is very awkward.
Small hotel; staff very attentive. Verizon reasonable rates. Large room was great for four women.
Really good location and the beds were the most comfortable beds I had ever slept on in my life! Would stay here again next time I am in NY.
There are very few negatives I can think of. The only thing was that we had to wait until 3pm to check in. Although there was a baggage hold area, it would have been nice to check in earlier.
Nice location. Near to major attractions. Comfortable sleep. Modular yet very neat and clean.
Only 1 complimentary bottle of drinking water.
I liked the convenience to shopping and subway.
There was construction going on behind the building and could hear the noise. In the morning the maids were blasting their music for awhile while cleaning the rooms nearby. We were up but I was thinking of the people possibly sleeping.
