loved the location loved the staff the room was spacious and very comfortable I would stay there again but request a room in the back
in NYC the trash gets picked up every night. I stayed in a room in the front of the hotel. Every night I was woken up by the garbage collectors dropping the dumpsters on the sidewalk against the building across the street. It was extremely loud.
We stayed in the 2 queen bed room #202, which is facing the 19th St., but it was very quiet. I liked the lean linens and towels. The room is a long narrow rectangle, but the bathroom is specious.
Hot coffee and tea were available at the lobby. However, they do not have any decaffe coffee and herbal tea. The entrance to the hotel and robby are dark and little tired look. There are only chair and a stool. Need to have more sitting room.
Location, size of room, decor of hotel and room
Had no temperature control and was VERY hot. Mentioned to staff who were very courteous and concerned but unfortunately could do nothing about it. The thermostat was controlled or at discretion of owner.
Great location in the City and the family suite was very roomy for the price.
The Korean nightclub downstairs is very noisy some nights and the subway line runs right under the hotel.
The location is close to Union Square Station, 5th ave and short can ride to Penn station. My room had lots of windows but minimal street noise. No breakfast. They have a restaurant with bar, lunch and dinner. Going to stay again.
No fridge in my room.
Excellent central position. Some reviewers mentioned noise from the Subway - all I can say is they must be listening very hard!
Lack of tea & coffee facilities in room, but there was always plenty available in the lobby
bed was comfortable
staff could not say good morning or good nite greedy management, disallowing for any change in reservation not enough soap or towels, we had to buy our own shampoo smell in elavator, room floor
Perfect location, close to subway, restaurants, shops, and away from hustle and bustle of Times Square, and less expensive area. Safe. Only a couple of stops from main attractions.
It had everything we needed for what we were there for. Nothing missing or didn't like.
Location, location, location. Staff was VERY accommodating with early arrival and storing bags on departure.
Could not control temp in room - went from 63-79! Queen mattress on king frame - hit shins and tripped on frame. Room had two beds NO EXTRA ROOM. get room with one bed.
The location was great. 2 blocks from Union Square and main subway stops. Fun Christmas market in square. We asked for a quiet room and it was very quiet. The bathroom and shower were large and although the room was small there was room to put my large open suitcase on the floor.
The room was small (which we expected) but the bed was on a wooden platform that extended beyond the mattress - major shin bruiser! The sink was small with a small shelf above it - no place to put makeup bag, etc. Being from Texas we like our ice and there was no access to ice.
The hotel staff were very thoughtful and helpful.
The Union Square area is excellent both day and night. Lots of great places to eat and independent shops.
The view onto the street wasn't great but since we only really slept there it was fine.
Staff was very nice. Location is the best. Room very clean and cute.
I loved the location. This was my first time staying in the city and I will definitely come back.
Terrific location one block from Union Square, nicely decorated and appointed, comfortable but not fancy, very accommodating staff.
Seriously, nothing. It was a great value and I would gladly recommend to others.
Excellent value. Minimal but modern decor. Had everything we needed in a great location.
Location was good for what we needed, but may not be that great for the average visitor. Staff was cordial, room reasonably clean.
Window into tiny light well. Low water pressure and iff hot water. $325/night including NYC taxes during holiday season.
great location friendly, helpful staff comfortable bed
too hot in the room with no AC because it was Winter (was 81F)
- Location! Half way between Union Square and Madison Square Park, surrounded by shops, bars and restaurants, and a few blocks from several subway lines. The hotel provides easy access (on foot) to the Greenwich Village, Chelsea and the Meatpacking district. There are tons of breakfast places surrounding the hotel, City Bakery and Breads Bakery were some of the highlights. Also, many nightlife hotspots and popular attractions are a short walk (or taxi drive) away. The hotel has an annexed bar/restaurant that we didn't try but looked very cozy; - Room was great, large enough to accommodate 4 friends with large suitcases and a lot of clothes. The beds were comfortable and quite large for 2 people. The only thing I'd add is a couple of coat hangers, perhaps next to the door, so that the wardrobe can be used to hang other things. Large bathroom with enough shelves and space for everything; - Staff was very helpful: provided additional blankets on the spot when we asked, booked us a private car to JFK, printed out documents for us.
The location of the hotel was perfect as I wanted close proximity to Union Square. The staff was helpful and accommodating on every request. We also really enjoyed dinner at the restaurant. Excellent food and service. I would definitely go back.
Nice, clean hotel with friendly staff. Location was good and close to where we wanted to be.
Room temp. The room was VERY hot (77 deg F) with no effective way to cool the room. A/C didn't appear to work. Since it was late Autumn, A/C may have been turned off, but it limited the ability to make the room comfortable.
Location is great. Tiny and basic hotel but had everything we needed

breakfast so poor
Convenience of location to Chelsea where our daughter resides & to Madison Sq. Garden to watch the Rangers!
Shower temp. was hard to control, very sensitive. The bedframe stuck out so you would constantly be running into the frame.
The location and the restaurant
At the 4th floor , no window in the room only a small small window in 5 m in height. Poor furniture
