Hotel looked exactly how it did in the pictures on the website, staff were very friendly and helpful. Excellent location subway at the end of the street that will take you into Manhattan in around 5 minutes.
We stayed a week. The receptionists were very professional. The room was clean.
Our toilet bowl was not securely installed and the faucet was dangling. I brought it to the attention of the staff the first day but no action was taken. The rooms are not soundproof. Any whisper in the hallways or next room can be heard. During our first night, there was a woman next door speaking loudly on the phone from 3:00 am to 6:00. Until she collapsed. Despite our calls to reception nothing was done. Incidentally, the same woman was visited by "taxi drivers" who were delivering items. I think the hotel needs a protocol for such issues. During the breakfast hours, nobody cleans the tables.
Everything about the hotel was very good.Breakfast was a joy every morning ,rooms were clean and serviced every day ,beds were comfortable when I travel back to New York I will stay here again.
Even though not directly connected to the hotel we were quoted $50 flat rate to JFK for our return journey to Ireland but when we reached T5 the driver insisted the fare was $66 I refused and only paid$60
Comfy bed, close to metro stop
Really poor breakfast, no skyline view, poor value for money.
cookies were a nice addition
Very near subway and safe
Young guy on reception was new and messed up my payment . Dining area very small and not fast at replacing cutlery etc
Super close to the subway and in an up-and-coming area. Boutique-ish feel with lots of space in the room. Free WiFi is also a plus.
There was one shot, and one shot only to have your room cleaned. Housekeeping came by at 4:00 PM, which happened to be when I was getting ready to head out for the evening. I requested that they come back after 5:00 and I was told that it would not happen because that's when they were done for the evening. My question is why is my room only just being cleaned at 4:00 PM anyway? I was also placed in a room right on the first floor and could hear everything that happened in the lobby. I requested a different room but was told that the hotel was sold out.
Location outstanding! Well maintained property. Bountiful Continental breakfast. Desk personnel accommodating.
Housekeeping sometimes neglected to replace the coffee & cups for the room. Request made to desk which responded immediately.
Location good, breakfast good, staff extremely helpful and friendly
the area around hotel was a little bit scary the night we arrived, difficulty finding the hotel at first and nobody seemed to have head of it but next day it was much better and very near two main subways..
The subway station is really near.
No free parking, but there's parking lot 20$/day over the corner. Breakfast was poor, cofee - undrinkable.
I loved having my own balcony and the view was great. The staff was also very helpful and friendly. The subway being nearby was convenient
The bed was uncomfortable and the room was rather small. I didn't like the fact that I could hear all conversations that took place in the hallway on my floor.
Overall, the hotel left a very good impression and I would recommend it to my friends. The staff of the hotel was very friendly and helpful, definitely the highlight of the hotel. Cleanliness of the rooms was also excellent. The size and the facilities were good-ish for this category of hotel. View from the rooms was decent, the hotel is very close to the subway, which makes the access to Manhattan easy.
The area where the hotel is not that nice, but felt safe enough. Breakfast did not offer great variety and were rather poor, too much sugar... Only one lift for the building, so expect some delays especially in the mornings. Otherwise, no complaints.
My family and I had a good stay. I would just recommend to improve the breakfast. The attendants were gentle. This hotel surprised me positively. Good location, near by subway (one block from station), good value. It is a great option.
The cost The closeness of the subway The ease of getting into New York The staff were always pleasant
warm chocolate chip cookies at the front desk!
wi-fi blocked me front work-related sites.
Two mins from subway. 10mins into manhatten. Why pay twice/thrice the price to stay in manhatten.
Small hotel Close to subway
Noise from street Breakfast room too small, no tables available to sit.
Close to Sbway
Room to small for 3 persons
1 spacious room with nice interior, balcony and beautiful (from 8th floor) partly Manhattan skyline view. there was everything we needed. 2 comfortable bed 3 working table 4 kitchenette 5 close to subway station 6 very welcoming and helpful staff, especially Chad, who helped us to park our car for free for 4 nights! Thank You very much, Chad!
1 breakfasts are not too varied 2 lack of hotel's parking lot
Great Manhattan view, complimentary breakfast, comfortable bed, close to 39th Av metro stop so easy to get to Manhattan.
Studio rooms are small, soundproofing poor both for exterior noise and other rooms/corridor. Wifi was down for 24+ hours during stay. A few bars / restaurants within a 15 - 20 min walk but stay elsewhere if you want a more lively location.
Close to Subway , excellent in every aspect and half the price of staying in NYC but with the same benifits. We will definetly stay there every time we come to NYC.
The staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was clean.
There was construction nearby outside our window through the night. Some of the furniture needed repair.
Reception staff very helpful and friendly. Located so close to subway stop. Only a few minutes to Times Square.
Rooms are too small. Only 1 chair, 1 side table. No room for luggage. Bathroom lighting was inadequate. Breakfast room left a lot to be desired and was overcrowded. Stayed at Home2 across the road the week before and it is much better value in all aspects.
