The personnal, very gently and attentive. Thr parking was perfect
the breafeast room was not perfect. you have take your meals in the room. the bathroom is splitted in two, middle are near the bed. the costs for this kind of hotel is expensive
clean, crisp, convenient; friendly staff; within walking distance to nifty cafes, shops, clubs
The room was nice, and there was no problems connecting to the WiFi.
Not the greatest location. Surrounding community not the best.
Location and free parking were very convenient. The price was very reasonable compared to others in the neighborhood. Nice bath/shower products -- better than expected. Free refrigerator was nice.
One of the beds had a very saggy worn mattress. The room was smaller than photos, but fine for our purposes.
Location. Free parking included.
Room is very small.
Bed, bathroom, friendly and helpful staff, price.
Location! Not a nice neighborhood and not really close to anything, even though you can get to the metro/Bart in about 15 minutes walking. We were looking for a place with a private bathroom at a reasonable price (not easy in SF) and this met our criteria but would look elsewhere the next time for a better location, which was dirty, run down and did not feel safe.
-Value -Microwave and Fridge -Sun Window -Free Parking -Friendly staff -Close to many store/bus stops
-There are sketch people walking around the area (but all of San Fran had them) -The free continental breakfast wasn't too great (but not that big a deal)
Hotel has on-site parking, which is important in this neighbourhood. Close to several bus routes so easy to get to all tourist sites. Room was small but adequate - like European hotels. Had coffee machine, fridge and microwave. Good breakfast options (continental). Staff friendly. Good value for San Francisco.
Not enough parking spaces for all rooms, so can't move your car once you park it. Neighbourhood is pretty barren of cafes, etc. though we discovered Trader Joes and Bed Bath and Beyond etc on last night - on Bryant and 9th. Lots of homeless people.
We booked at the San Francisco Inn for a quick one night stay in the city. We knew we weren't going to stay in the room for long, just needed a clean bed and shower. Everything was clean, a little outdated but ok. Free parking on site a plus. We came into the city early and was able to park at the hotel before check in.
A little run down. Pigeons walking around on our floor. Location doesn't offer much, except "the stud" next door and Kama sushi down the street.
The san francisco Inn has really goog prices for a hotel in the heart of san francisco. The rooms are clean and the beds are big and ok. in this area ( soma) you will meet students , working people and homeless . that is what makes it interesting and off course sad to see that there are so many homeless people . They will leave you alone and I always felt safe in this area .
Very friendly and caring staff that greeted us as we they were outside tending and cleaning the facilities each morning. Great value for the price! Rooms comfy, clean and tastefully renovated. Effort to make the place pleasant is apparent. Great mattresses and bathroom. The block is a bit seedy but turns out to be very convenient - 1 1/2 blocks from major road near public transportation, near attractions, etc. Rooms safe inside a gated courtyard and cars in the garage below the hotel. Super find in San Francisco.
If you plan to use public transport, then this place is deal. Bus stop is in front of this inn. City hall is at walkable distance from here. We were there for July 4. But there wasn't much noise on street. Staff was very considerate of our needs.
The rooms are very small. Breakfast is not much. They provide some sweet stuffed bun and cereals.
Downtown San Francisco, old-world style including security measures
A bit small, a bit old, no elevator
The staff was kind and helpfull
Location entering the city is real bad, full with drug addicts. Hotel is dirty, around the building contruction so a lot of noise. Real poor breakfast. Not worth the money at all.
Excellent location in the city, friendly and polite staff, and really great pricing. If your priorities when it comes to a hotel include four walls, a ceiling, and a bed, this is a great place to stay. If you care how big the pool is or whether they have hbo, maybe not so much.
There's a lot of street noise, so bring earplugs if that'll make it difficult for you to sleep. The mattresses aren't exactly $4000 unicorn-fur-stuffed pillow-tops either, but they're good enough to sleep on.
almost everything, a very good motel
a bit distance from nearest train/metro station
Nice-sized and pretty clean room. All facilities worked. Safe area & secure entrance to the rooms. Comfortable. Parking situation limited but fair. Friendly, polite staff. I would stay here again.
The high pitched noise that the vending machines make, and the pigeons having sex right outside my door on most nights. I think the high pitched noise was supposed to keep the pigeons away.
Free parking, close to some restaurants and bus line.
Comfy I guess
Alarm for pigeons doesn't work and actually hurts my ears instead. Maids weren't up early to provide reviews. Wifi and connection sucks
Wifi, Tv, breakfast
good price and situation close to center
a little bit noisy but it is down town
Available parking for guests, breakfast, location, room cleanliness
Noise during the night, no wardrobe
The staff was very kind and helpful. I liked the free parking, free "breakfast." Wi-Fi worked just fine from the 3rd floor. The bedding was clean, no bed bugs. Close to MUNI stops. Within walking distance to good bars/restaurants and Trader Joe's. For being so close to primary highways, street noise was low.
Parking was tight and not guaranteed. There was a couple of pigeons that were nesting outside our room and we could hear them having sex and/or cooing at one another. The carpet could have used a good vacuuming and shampooing.
The Inn was clean and the staff were very helpful and kind. They had nice continental breakfast items you could take to your room. Parking us right in site
The only downside was the location to Market Street because of the distance to the street cars. There was a bus stop just around the corner but navigating the buses was not easy. The street car went up and down Market St all day which was good. One more down side to the location was no real restaurants on 9th Street until you get to Market St or cross over Market. We were on a motorcycle and didn't want to drive it to go eat. After sundown nothing is going on in the city.
