Score from 2619 reviews Very good
The park view is excellent as the Suite itself, the Roof bar is great, and the Kingside restaurant is great, the location facing north trogh the park is even better than a direct view and so much more ny
The dont offer breakfast at the Roof it would be tremendous, the elevators are kind of insufficient as you ride many times with the staff carryng all sorts of service equipment
The concierge staff, especially Mina, are amazing. The front desk staff as well--everyone makes a point to call you by name. Great design as well!
Roof top bouncers exude attitude.
Staff were friendly and welcoming. The beds were comfortable. Location is central
They knew that construction/alteration/repairs were going on near our rooms and we were woken up every morning with hammering, drilling etc. It really spoilt our holiday.
Staff was friendly, efficient and gracious. Rooftop bar was fun.
Perfumed hallways was horrible. The bed was way too soft and uncomfortable. The furniture in our sitting room was uncomfortable too. The chic industrial look is fine but it needs to be done well to make it inviting.
The staff were very helpful, friendly and organised. The rooms was a bit small but that is to be expected. The bed and pillow were very comfortable. Loved the view from my room. I didn't get to the gym but would have used the pool if it was still there! The room bar was amazing. Loved the vibe and views.
The Kingside Restaurant was rather disappointing. The service was extremely slow. We had breakfast there twice and decided to have it elsewhere the other 4 mornings.
- Cleanliness; - Location is superb; - Room facilities (size of the flatscreen TV, beatbox Beats by Dr. Dre, etc.); - Complimentary bottles of mineral water in the room.
- Room a bit on the small side, but then again it's Manhattan; - Reception staff are efficient, but should consider smiling now and then.
Liked the Sferra linens and the bath products. Liked the styles of the rooms but disappointed in my view, no clothes storage and filthy air conditioner filter
Very clean rooms Very comfortable bed Great coffee machine with free coffee and up to date sound system
Location, service, house keeping, quality inclusions, good wi-fi
Room size a bit small, but cosy
Friendly staff from doorman to front desk. Room was beautiful. Location was fantastic and close to transportation.
Price was high and in house cleaning for few clothing items. Could have repurchased said times four times over for less at least. Find a local cleaners.
THE BED COMFORT... AMAZING! Being genuinely greeted by the front desk staff every day & night. The ROOF bar! Views of Central Park
Nothing! Maybe would've been nice to have complimentary tea/coffee & pastry from Kingside?
Espresso machine in the room
Room was excellent and service good. Lovely comfortable bed and sheets and high quality provisions. Good views although we did pay for this extra.
We booked this hotel for the swimming pool and roof top bar. The swimming pool has been closed as being converted to private dining room. The bar was almost impossible to use as was completely full of city business entertaining the whole time until 4 in the morning. The prices were also absorbitant and we did not go there. There is no appropriate area as a lounge as the only seats are directly inside the front door and certainly not anywhere one could relax.
Staff very friendly and very clean hotel! Close to a cheap but very good Italian restaurant serving also american food (Vizio, 255 W 55th street, between Broadway and 8th avenue)! If you like to lounge and smoke a cigarette go to the skyterrace of the Hudson hotel.
Some staff were pretty snooty. Didn't enjoy coming back from buying some snacks just after checking in, to be told by a young woman at Registration (as we waited opposite check-in for the lift) that she hoped we didn't have cigarettes as there was no smoking in the room????? Seriously? This was all she could welcome us back with? We'd requested a non-smoking room, we'd happily signed an undertaking at check-in we wouldn't smoke. We're not 10 years old to be spoken to that way.
quality of furnishings, cleanliness, superb location, ergonomics of the room layout for a tiny space, free WiFi.
It was a nice touch to have a magnifying mirror attached to an arm on the regular mirror over the sink. Unfortunately, it didn't tilt and was set so high that it was useless to anyone under 6' tall.
Great location Amazing roof bar
No enough storage space in the room Bad airconditioning system
The afternoon and evening staff were extremely committed to customer service.
Very small room. Inability to self-adjust AC unit temperature and fan caused sleeplessness and discomfort. Broadcast system testing was done at 10 am and without prior warning. Hairdryer was not functional and it took 45 minutes to get a new one.
The location could not be better. Amazing staff, 100% comfort.
Room is not big and very poor space to store clothes.
Excellent location, comfortable room, friendly staff.
Would have been nice to use rooftop bar for breakfast. Also booked as pool available, however the pool, and fitness area is under reconstruction as a dining room.
The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. They always welcomed me back each time I entered the hotel. The room is a decent size for New York standards. We especially loved the spacious shower. The complimentary continental breakfast was high quality and delicious.
WiFi needs to be improved. The reception was spotty at best.
The roof bar was a great place to spend the evening. Lively even during the week.
The in room tablet handset was novel although a little flakey at times
Doorman was amazingly helpful during a busy time of day. Rooftop was the best part of the hotel
Room felt a bit cheap in it material selection. Room definitely photographs better than it feels in person.
They have a fantastic roof top bar which is good for drinks and snacks! The hotel has been recently refurbished and you can tell! The rooms are modern with iPod speakers! The beds are extremely comfortable some of the best I've ever had in a hotel!
The bar does get very busy and it can be used by people not staying at the hotel! They also rent it out for private functions which means you can't use it which I was not impressed by as we had no warning and were not told in advance!
