Great area Beautiful view Nice style Gorgeous bathroom
Fluorescent lighting in rooms Lack of closet space Magnifying mirror too high/unusable
Loved the beds, the lobby and the service.
The air freshener in the lobby smelled like deodorant. The food at the restaurant next door should have been better at dinner time. It was average.
The excellent location, the professionality and kindness of the staff, in particular at reception and concierge.
Each day the room wasn't made up completely, i.e. coffee cups not washed, complimentary water not present, no glasses, no footrest in the bathroom.
All was better than expected. Not for families with children.
The location was great. Close to shopping on 5th ave and only a short two blocks from Central Park. Close enough to walk to most broadway theaters. Subway stops are super close. The roof top bar area was nice but probably packed on weekends. We were there Sunday to Wed. so it wasn't too bad.
Honesty the only negative was the restaurant on the main street level. It was very over priced for a mediocre breakfast. I would chose next time to eat somewhere else.
Most comfortable bed we ever slept in with excellent and obliging housekeeping staff
The only thing that let this hotel down was the lack of storage
Small storage could be upgraded one wardrobe not even a meter wide is not enough!
Perfect location to visit and enjoy Manhattan. Very good service and excellent housekeeping.
Rooms very comfortable - beds fantastic Roof top bar wonderful if you could get on it Location excellent Pleasant staff
Wanted a twin room for children - could only offer double bed some nights so had to keep swapping rooms and paying $50 surcharge Fitness centre closed for whole of stay TV was temperamental and list signal Roof top bar was booked by external parties on 3 days out of 4 - so very busy and effectively un available
Location & staff & expresso maker in room. Rooftop bar was terrific!
The beds were so comfortable. We had the best sleeps! I loved the room decor. Absolutely beautiful! The roof top patio was lovely as well.
Did not like the smell of the hotel lobby and halls. Reminded us of deodorant!
Hotel wrongly said booking cancelled and then 3 of their staff put all blame on Booking.com and told us to sort out.It was a mess and there was no empathy or assistance until a day later when I complained to conciergeYour organisation sorted after 1 hour plus toing and froing with them.Concierge later said sorry but still all YOUR faultThe phones didn't work the whole time we were there.I expected them to be polite and helpful and realise problem had nothing to do with us.
We definitely liked the decor, room, location, style and the friendliness of the staff. We got an upgrade to a junior suite and it was just perfect for the stay. The hotel has a very pleasant and high class atmosphere without being pretentious.
The outside phone lines were down for a while, a light bulb was out and the sink was clogged. But housekeeping took care of the last two immediately. The phone outage seemed to take a bit longer. I wouldn't mind less dim lights - especially at the desk.
Staff were friendly
The park view is excellent as the Suite itself, the Roof bar is great, and the Kingside restaurant is great, the location facing north trogh the park is even better than a direct view and so much more ny
The dont offer breakfast at the Roof it would be tremendous, the elevators are kind of insufficient as you ride many times with the staff carryng all sorts of service equipment
The staff were very friendly except one of the barmaids with dark hair who was abrupt at the Roof top bar. Really fab location, fantastic Roof top bar thats always busy and has a fab view of Manhattan. The door guys are very friendly and helpful. Out of the hotel next left is Time Square, turn to the right is Lexington Ave & shopping.. Opposite is Central park! Nice rooms with free coffee machine and water everyday
The sink was in the room!
The concierge staff, especially Mina, are amazing. The front desk staff as well--everyone makes a point to call you by name. Great design as well!
Roof top bouncers exude attitude.
Good location, clean room
It is a nice hotel in a good location but all in all not 5 star worth. Although the hotel and employees got potential in delivering a satisfactory service they still have a lot to achieve. One week before we arrived we had several requests for items to be placed in the room upon arrival. It has been confirmed by the concierge department but when we checked in none of the requested items have been placed in the room. We had to ask for it again. The room was small and we had a non existing view to the back of the house, looking at ugly and noisy chimneys. Therefore we could not open the window during the night because of the noise and food smell hanging in the air. The aircon in the room was too noisy as well to keep it on all night. In the bathroom there is no space left to place your additional items. Matrace is to soft. One of the storage doors in the room was broke and we could not close it properly. We mentioned it to the Front Desk on the day of arrival and asked for it to be fixed. When we checked out after 6 nights it still had not been fixed. The music in the elevators are way too loud, as if you are in a disco. The music level for a luxury hotel should be dimmed to a more decent tone. All the staff members which we have seen during our week have been friendly but sometimes they had the attitude at looking “through” the guests, without actually giving them a notice. This goes especially for the concierge team. On one occasion we went to the concierge to get help by hiring a car. Two concierges have been on duty standing next to each other. One of them took care of us and the other one was just standing by. When a delivery man came, “our “ concierge immediately interrupted our conversation to deal with the delivery man instead of handing the new issue over to his colleague. This can’t be......(was my thought in that moment). The hotel has got a Roof Lounge Terrace on the 28th floor.
Room very clean and quiet because it was on the back: no view on central park but no traffic noise. Staff was professional and always welcoming.
Terrace: highly advertised for its view on central park from the staff, it's open to public and always overcrowded. We tried to go up 4 times at diferent hours and always had to go back. It's litteraly unusable; Hotel shuold reserve some space for its guests. Relaxing pool: it was eliminated to build a private dining area. It seems that the owners are more interested to profit from external customers than offer services to guests. Lobby AC: POLAR! In the rooms they advertise to save the environment and then keep the lobby AC at 10°C/50°F...you need a coat and a scarf...
Staff were friendly and welcoming. The beds were comfortable. Location is central
They knew that construction/alteration/repairs were going on near our rooms and we were woken up every morning with hammering, drilling etc. It really spoilt our holiday.
Staff was friendly, efficient and gracious. Rooftop bar was fun.
Perfumed hallways was horrible. The bed was way too soft and uncomfortable. The furniture in our sitting room was uncomfortable too. The chic industrial look is fine but it needs to be done well to make it inviting.
The staff were very helpful, friendly and organised. The rooms was a bit small but that is to be expected. The bed and pillow were very comfortable. Loved the view from my room. I didn't get to the gym but would have used the pool if it was still there! The room bar was amazing. Loved the vibe and views.
The Kingside Restaurant was rather disappointing. The service was extremely slow. We had breakfast there twice and decided to have it elsewhere the other 4 mornings.
- Cleanliness; - Location is superb; - Room facilities (size of the flatscreen TV, beatbox Beats by Dr. Dre, etc.); - Complimentary bottles of mineral water in the room.
- Room a bit on the small side, but then again it's Manhattan; - Reception staff are efficient, but should consider smiling now and then.
Liked the Sferra linens and the bath products. Liked the styles of the rooms but disappointed in my view, no clothes storage and filthy air conditioner filter
