Score from 789 reviews Very good
Location is very good, the hotel has character, and the staff is very friendly and helpful. I plan to return. It has a good atmosphere and it smells very good.
The location was great, we walked everywhere. The door staff were amazing, very friendly and helpful. The beds in the room were very comfortable and the view was amazing.
I wouldn't say this is a 5 star hotel, probably more a low 4. We had a lovely stay but it's just missing that extra touch. Our room was very basic and small and corridors were very dated, a couple of room service staff had a bit of a snooty attitude. Mini bar wasn't replenished. I felt it was a bit over priced for what it is.
location and staff
lack of cupboard space in hotel room but not a big deal.
From the layout of the suite to the incredibly tasteful design, everything about the Viceroy NY was sublime. The overall experience exceeded the highest expectations. I will definitely return with my wife.
Location, vibe, patios
The beds are amazingly comfortable and the shower rooms are amazing. Art Deco, 1920's style boutique hotel.... Exactly what it says on the tin...
The hotel is very smart and trendy. The location is excellent, two blocks from Central Park. The hotel is small and the staff are very friendly and helpful. There is a nice bar & restaurant on the ground floor called 'kingside' and there is a very trendy bar on the top floor with great views called 'the roof'!! Around the corner on 6th avenue is a great pizza place that does 2 for 1 cocktails called 'Pazza Notte'. The best thing about the Viceroy was the bed - it was the most comfortable ever! I would have no hesitation in staying here again.
The only downside to the hotel is they charge for wifi - what place in the world still charges for wifi??? It wasn't a problem - just went to Starbucks 50 yards away for coffee and free wifi!
Cool design, incredibly well trained super friendly staff, and the best brunch in this part of town at the Viceroy's restaurant Kingside. Gym was small, but clean and well equipped with Technogym machine and weights.
Deluxe king was very small. Not enough space to hang clothes for two if staying for more than one night... Not even a hook to hang a coat!
The bed/bedding was as comfortable as any I've stayed at in any hotel! Room was very quiet. Decor was hip and interesting. Housekeeping and some bell staff were very pleasant and attentive.
I found the first front desk person to be somewhat aloof, but then when we asked to move to a larger room for our second night, the front desk person was extremely helpful and accommodating. They should not charge for WIFI.
No Concierge and luggage service: the unhelpful attitude from the woman Concierge , the door man with the luggage (had to call from my room to get my bags sent, never arrived so I had to go down to the lobby and pick them up my self)
size of the rooms
convenient location. Close to columbus circle, 5th ave and subway.
Bar upstairs did not have bar food.
The room was tiny!
Location super close to central park!It was boutique and nicely decorated. Staff helpful.
The Staff really made the difference , friendly and very helpful. The hotel has got great character, the rooms are well designer and the retro Kingside restaurant was excellent.
Location The coffee machine The bed Quite area The view of the street Concierge
Elevators takes time but not big problem
- Location - Clean room and bathroom - Practical tablet
- Small room - Wind from windows - Expensive room service - Small lobby
Locations, friendly staff, good price.
Location was great
Be careful which room you select. They don't publish room sizes and we got the smallest "king" on the floor which for 2 adults with 2 suitcases was just hopeless. They were not helpful changing the room either unless we paid extra. Would not go back.
A little small room
No pool as advertised. Tiny cupboard space, without a light Wifi doesn't work. TV doesn't work. No films. No bath robe. 1 person on concierge expect to wait!
Location amazing Friendliest staff nothing was too much trouble for them
Limited selection of food availability for breakfast
Bar Room service Room Bathroom Bed Doormen Concierge Reception staff Location Relaxed vibe Restaurant
Only the location is good
service is not good，the staff attitude does seem like want to help you，the room is really really small，hardly fit the laggages into the room，when we get into the room，the water doesnt go through the shower sink，the ipad thing next to the bed is not working，it's a connected room，that's why you can hear noises from nextdoor. I would not think the price is reasonable for the tiny room.
